  1. I am not quite sold on the combat yet, but the art direction looks very, very nice Worth keeping an eye on and crossing fingers for a demo to try out the combat first.
  2. Yes, what became of Brother Ferg and Brother Gus in Kuldahar?
  3. I hope you have the patched version of F2 Maybe it is time to give the Fallout games a go again. It's been ages since I played F1 now.
  4. That looks pretty good! I better go grab that one too. Thanks

    Hobbies

I have a couple of hobbies, none of which I do much about at the moment unfortunately. I would love to pick up miniature wargaming (Warhammer) again, but there seems to be no regular wargaming clubs within quite a few miles of where I live I still enjoy collecting and painting those little guys though.
  6. Which means... we've got the day off today! Happy birthday guys Walks away, happily humming the "You must gather your party to venture forth" song...
  7. Windows XP (sp2), P4 2.8 Ghz, GeForce FX5900 Ultra. No tweaking. Runs mostly nicely. I used to get the extreme lagging in the residential area on Telos Station. A few years ago, I updated my Gfx drivers and it went away. Now I get the lagging on the plains of Dantooine instead
  8. Maybe there used to be more diversity and innovation, back when production costs were much lower? Game developers still appeared and disappeared at a regular rate, but there were so many more the smaller ones. Maybe games have become too serious a business, going the way of Hollywood (i.e. taking themselves too seriously)? I asked a similar question a while ago in a different place, why I haven't seen a racing game that I really liked since Carmageddon. They may be all realism simulators today, but the fun has gone out of them Anyway, if you like HoMM3 then you have to give Disciples II a try. Beats HoMM3 in just about every aspect. And the gold edition is dirt cheap right now from Strategy First's homepage
  9. You must gather your party before venturing forth... You must gather your party before venturing forth... You must gather your party before venturing forth... You must gather your party before venturing forth... You must gather your party before venturing forth... Thanks, I will now run around saying this to myself all day long
  10. I think putting up with the public humiliation and the outrage over her (I did not have sex with this woman) husbonds infidelity at work shows exactly how far she is willing to go to satisfy her ambitions.
  11. 20 I am 41. I sometimes wear a 'Grumpy old Man' t-shirt to work
  12. Interesting... what did you guys do to them? It is their most closely guarded secret, never shared with anobody outside The Inner Circle. *Especially* The Inquisition can never be allowed to know that half the legion turned traitors, as that would mean termination with extreme prejudice of The Unforgiven (Yes, I am nitpicking) I hope you keep us updated on the hunt for Okida
  13. Speaking of Yellow, I ended up being a little yellow one with a name that sounds like sneezing
  14. In that case, I'll keep an eye out for it when I next go shopping. Thanks guys
  15. You might want to avoid playing the Malkavians for a while then...
  16. I think I remember that thread. It was when Knights of the Old Republic 2 was still known as "Project Delaware". You had an Avatar with some crates in it and a signature that went along the lines of "Crates, crunchy on the outside, full of goodies on the inside" or something similar
  17. Be sure to check out the other half of the Grindhouse Double Bill, Death Proof. If it's anywhere near the same "type" of humour, I will. Is it out on DVD yet?
  18. Planet Terror What a pleasant surprise. I didn't think they made movies like this anymore Some of the most fun I've had since watching Peter Jacksons Braindead and Bad Taste for the first time.
  19. I didn't really mind the story pacing, my only real gripe being the high level stuff. But then, I didn't like that that aspect of the BG2 expansion either. Nice story, an interesting "problem" for the player and companions that aren't rammed down your throat (this is what you get and you damn well better care about them because we say so). Plenty of little details that makes the world feel less like an empty cardboard backgroung. Best crpg in a long time on the PC.
  20. Yes, that game really redefines the term "Body Bag"
  21. They show true fighting spirit, just like the old Vikings! It doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you cleave a lot of skulls
  22. I have no idea how old you are, but it sounds like you weren't following the olympics back when the US and the USSR took turns boycotting each other
  23. Bleh, give me Europa Universalis any day Ok, so I only ever tried the original Shogun: Total War.
  24. I don't really mind eye candy. I still think games like IWD's and BG's (and PS:T) were pleasant on the eye. Actually, I think they still are. Problem is when you get the feel that you are playing a tech demo.
  25. Bought a tv while shopping yesterday. Now I have to go hunting for a decent DVD player... preferably multiregion, as I have DVD's from regions 1,2 & 4
