As far as PC game music goes, favourites includes Icewind Dale, Kotor2, Fallout & PS:T. Little else games I remember the music as "notable" from.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. runs nicely on my old 2.8 Ghz P4 with an old 256mb gfx card It is all about sneaking, sniping, ambushing and generally avoiding hostiles, as there is no real benefit to fighting them (unless part of a mission).

Not saying that they are all bad. Just very "unevenly distributed" in their quality.

Continued character development after his change to monk would have been welcome. "My life as a monk" by Kheldar Ironfist... I think they ended up with the butter spread too thin over too much bread so to speak. Kheldar, Neeshka and Qara (and Grobnar) started out great, but they (and the rest of the cast) sort of drifted off before midways through the game with nothing else happening (with the possible exception of Shandra who changed quite a bit towards the end). Maybe it is an inherent problem of trying to add as many npcs as possible? Kotor 1 & 2 were based on a similar formula and both suffered from it too. PS:T and MOTB by comparison followed a different formula with fewer and more interesting npcs, which I found led to a more interesting game experience (other peoples mileage may vary).

There is a mod, Advanced Tombraider Loader (or some such) on one of the fansites, I think it might have been Tombraidre Chronicles. It enables you to run the original Tombraider with WDM sound and Glide emulation in Windows XP Pro SP2. I am almost at the Atlantis levels, just good fun (and shows how much Anniversary missed it's mark IMO)

Sounds to me like this: They have turned the mana bar into AP's. Once you have regenerated enough, you can cast your next spell do your next out of the ordinary thing and be rewarded with some splatter effects and possibly some faster kills. I blame the journalists for me buying NWN1 What about just, not liking what they "seem" to be doing with it, combined with their past track record in game design? I was one of those "Nooooo!" guys when Bethesda announced that they had aquired the rights to the entire franchise (minus FOOL), because I think they fit like a hand in a sock for that kind of game. I resigned myself to disappointment and silent despair. The less than charming traits of the "journalists" does ruffle my hair the wrong way though. Fallout 3 might surprise me positively, but it would need to be a lot of things that Oblivion was not to do that

A reminder that EA once released a lot of different game genres... *reminiscenses (sp?) the days of "Seven Cities of Gold", "Hard hat Mack", "Archon" & "Racing Destruction Set"* I think I could use a remake of "Racing Destruction Set" :sad:
