What you did today
Ros's dating supremacy, counted by the amount of dates, is now under a firm assault by the veteran Guard Dog, who dominates all in the length of his... individual dates. Must have been the phase of the moon or something, I don't think I've ever gotten a booty call from someone I wasn't "going steady" with, never mind two from two different women in the same weekend. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that, I guess. Also, work computer's stalling every minute or so. I think this is 5 years old, it certainly is the largest and heaviest laptop I've ever had the displeasure of carrying. Maybe GD scores a few extra points for dating responsibly, recycling his dates. Ros seems to be into the disposable dates

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
I've got a handful of characters there. Republic: 'Xantrailles' (Trooper) and 'Alitass' (Smuggler) Empire: 'MacRoth' (ex-Gorth) (Bounty Hunter) and 'Useedok' (Sith Warrior) Got a sniper too, but haven't played him for a while. ...and a handful of low level characters used for variety. If you want to, look up one of them some day, although it's most likely to happen on a weekend (time zone difference).

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt [2014]
[like] Just kidding, but I hear you. It was one of the first things that left a bad taste, that and the feeling of "unresponsiveness" (for lack of better description) of the controls compared to TW1. Not necessarily a keyboard vs gamepad thing (since I have both), but it just felt sluggish compared to the first game, not sure why. The horrible UI was one of the main factors killing the game for me though.

SW: The Old Republic Part 5
Which server are you on? I got characters on both the RP and PVE server, although Begeren is where my high level ones are. Oh, and as for the Foundry, I think that particular achievement mentioned above is bugged. Completed it a third time and it still didn't get ticket off as completed. No big deal, at least I know I didn't miss anything during the mission. Edit: With the silly double XP weekends, didn't really play a lot (apart from the above Foundry run), managed the hardest (first) of the two boss fights with only 3 man going in (healer gave up and left halfway through, one of the two dps guys filling in the role on a part time basis, keeping my tank alive, sadly no achievement for that. Otherwise mostly just trading and keeping the crew busy, getting close to reaching level 400 in several crew skills... and cherry picking quests that gives no or little xp.

In my experience. there tend to be less jerks when you get to the higher level FP's... I like to think they get "weeded" out

Speaking of flashpoints, I'm wondering if anybody can tell me if the following in The Foundry is a bug or a feature (as in, the group has overlooked something twice): Not that I care a lot about achievements, but some of them are nice hints that there are things and places that I've missed.

POST YOUR SPECS
Heh, I have an old P-IV with 4gb ram, which I'm soon going to put a hammer through the HDD (data protection all right) and put out for rubbish collection. A bit of a shame, as it has been running flawlessly for many years, but too big, noisy and slow has condemned it to obsolescence.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I would love if it humdinged in the exploration department. At least a little bit. Blame life, work, etc. I'm somewhat out of the loop (and grateful for a place to have consolidated information in). I haven't been able to follow it, so I'm playing a game of catch up If they actually go and put some effort into making exploration fun, I'll be a very happy gamer. The original Tombraider was the last game I remember where exploration was fun (and the objective of the game really). Of course, Tombraider went and did away with all that in subsequent installments and the game took a nosedive, but that doesn't take anything away from the original. Exploration done well would rock indeed Edit to add: Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it was Fallout or TR that was the last "exploration" game.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Having both Steam, Origin and GOG accounts, I'm not really too picky, as it wouldn't add an extra "burden" (or whatever you would call it) on me. I am curious about how much of the story is going to be about characters (protagonist, companions, npcs etc.) and how much is going to be EPIC struggle between two factions I learned to dislike in equal measure in the first two games. Crossing fingers and hoping for the former

Only the Emperor is allowed to wear purple... More than one Roman emperor put people to death (nobility and plebs both) for daring to wear purple.

LG IPS277L-BN monitor
Manged to get all of 2 days of enjoyment out of my new Dell monitor before having to travel interstate. Call me jaded, but I'm glad I didn't fork out the money for the 30" if this is representative of the image quality. Lowering the brightness and contrast considerably helped a bit, but the light "bleed" is awful, looking like somebody has a torchlight behind the screen, moving it around as you look at it from different angles. I wonder if this is typical for LED screens? A thousand poxes upon Samsung and their lack quality when it comes to electronics (as the TFT display itself still seems vastly superior).

What are you playing now?
Since I'm "on the road" (living in hotels) at the moment, I enjoy a bit of SWTor at night. Knew that second account would come in handy some day (even if its original purpose was to squeeze a few extra social points out of the game) Runs surprisingly well on this little laptop with crappy Intel gfx chips.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
I have never forgiven Bioware for forcing me to become a Jedi in Kotor. I never wanted to be a Jedi But yeah, I hear you Tale. I can't imagine many people caring about the peasant girl that was forced upon you in NWN2, nor could I care less about Mages and Templars in the DA universe. I might side with one or the other on a strictly mercenary basis, not out of any sense of "obligation" to either one. Going fame and fortune hunting with Varric was just infinitely more fun than the dour and dreary whinging of those two factions.

A video game survey
How do you know that less than 10 % of the people who responded are not from America? Do you know a poll was run on these forums to see where people lived and the majority of people who responded are not from America. Could you maybe refer to the US as Hillbilly-Yankee land? I was always bothered by how they usurped the term used for the entire continent. You act like Canada and Mexico and places south on the two American continents matter. I KID! I KID! Sadly the United States of America doesn't lend itself to easy nationalistic references like "Canadian", "Mexican", "Belgium", etc does. USAers looks wrong USers looks ironic Statesperson sounds like you're making a governmental speech Citizen of the United States of America is accurate but wordy. Abbreviation to CUSA sounds vaguely dirty. I'm a bit curious about the 10% too. Is that a result of IP tracking? The demographic of this specific community is something like less than 50% being from the US.
