Heh, I have an old P-IV with 4gb ram, which I'm soon going to put a hammer through the HDD (data protection all right) and put out for rubbish collection. A bit of a shame, as it has been running flawlessly for many years, but too big, noisy and slow has condemned it to obsolescence.

Having Sten and Zevran in your party was fun. IIRC also the only combo that would give you insight into the renegade Qunari, because Zevran would bring up the subject in Stens company.

I would love if it humdinged in the exploration department. At least a little bit. Blame life, work, etc. I'm somewhat out of the loop (and grateful for a place to have consolidated information in). I haven't been able to follow it, so I'm playing a game of catch up If they actually go and put some effort into making exploration fun, I'll be a very happy gamer. The original Tombraider was the last game I remember where exploration was fun (and the objective of the game really). Of course, Tombraider went and did away with all that in subsequent installments and the game took a nosedive, but that doesn't take anything away from the original. Exploration done well would rock indeed Edit to add: Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it was Fallout or TR that was the last "exploration" game.

Having both Steam, Origin and GOG accounts, I'm not really too picky, as it wouldn't add an extra "burden" (or whatever you would call it) on me. I am curious about how much of the story is going to be about characters (protagonist, companions, npcs etc.) and how much is going to be EPIC struggle between two factions I learned to dislike in equal measure in the first two games. Crossing fingers and hoping for the former

Manged to get all of 2 days of enjoyment out of my new Dell monitor before having to travel interstate. Call me jaded, but I'm glad I didn't fork out the money for the 30" if this is representative of the image quality. Lowering the brightness and contrast considerably helped a bit, but the light "bleed" is awful, looking like somebody has a torchlight behind the screen, moving it around as you look at it from different angles. I wonder if this is typical for LED screens? A thousand poxes upon Samsung and their lack quality when it comes to electronics (as the TFT display itself still seems vastly superior).

Since I'm "on the road" (living in hotels) at the moment, I enjoy a bit of SWTor at night. Knew that second account would come in handy some day (even if its original purpose was to squeeze a few extra social points out of the game) Runs surprisingly well on this little laptop with crappy Intel gfx chips.

I have never forgiven Bioware for forcing me to become a Jedi in Kotor. I never wanted to be a Jedi But yeah, I hear you Tale. I can't imagine many people caring about the peasant girl that was forced upon you in NWN2, nor could I care less about Mages and Templars in the DA universe. I might side with one or the other on a strictly mercenary basis, not out of any sense of "obligation" to either one. Going fame and fortune hunting with Varric was just infinitely more fun than the dour and dreary whinging of those two factions.

How do you know that less than 10 % of the people who responded are not from America? Do you know a poll was run on these forums to see where people lived and the majority of people who responded are not from America. Could you maybe refer to the US as Hillbilly-Yankee land? Vanity is creating alt accounts to give yourself likes. I probably fall somewhere in between LC and Amentep. Sometimes I feel guilty for not reciprocating likes, sometimes I do it if I genuinely like a post, sometimes just as a note, that I read a post and enjoyed the answer, but didn't know how to continue a line of discussion. As for my own posting, quantity, style etc. I don't think I've moved one inch in any direction. Some old dogs can't be arsed to learn new tricks. Isn't that 'Like' thing a Facebook contraption anyway?

Add 100% artificial price hike (cartel/price fixing) when selling games to the Aussie market (talking about pure digital download from the same online stores). Location can matter.

My powertech got jump packs (similar to force leap) and the grapple hook for pulling, so I can either go to the action or bring it to me. He's only so-so in the damage dealing department though. That resilience does come at a cost Stealth sucks when doing the defend doors thing... I can deploy my scanner, but it lasts 10 seconds and only covers a small area. They walk right up to you and stun you for an eternity, and often in pairs, so you waste your long cooldown stun break (my smuggler on the other hand has stealth detection as an ability, improving the longer she stays in cover, nobody sneaks up on her). Anecdotal: Funniest "own goal" was being grappled by a powertech (while carrying the ball) and being pulled over their goal line. Talk about back firing

Still annoying when you are used to 30-50ms, but I'm not really into the whole PVP thing other than as a casual experience, so lightning reflexes is less important Edit to add: I originally tried them out a while ago, before we were forced out of our current "home", just to see if the name 'Gorth' was available. Created a character on each server, played around for 30 minutes and noticed the latency times back then. It's possible they are different now, but most of my characters (sans a one level 1) have moved to the US west coast).
