  1. Yeah, I can finally start playing and have a baby with me!
  2. Obsidian is a small studio who needs to make money continuously to keep its doors open. They can't just wait another 6 months to release their game. We all want as much content at release as possible, but the way they are handling this release is both understandable and reasonable. We should be grateful, that they will provide long lasting post release content, patches, free DLCs, and player communication. On top of that, there's no shady business with lottery systems or micro transactions. That said, I would wait for the DLCS to come out, if I only had time for one run. As mentioned above, it should make no difference to you anyways. You just get the game at November, and be happy, that there's been 6 months of bug fixes and balancing, that should make your experience better. I don't get how all the efford and passion Obsidian provide is so offending to some people who paid 40 bucks for 100 hours of entertainment. :S
  3. What a feeling to have. It's completely baseless speculation. As mentioned above, the reasons are crystal clear. You can disagree with them, but that doesn't make them non-existing. Less combat clutter, and better accessibility for more casual players is valid arguments for Obsidian to make. They have an obvious interest in making combat fun for a larger audience. And even if some grognards like myself prefers 6 party members, that shouldn't be defining for their descision making.
  4. You don't engage arguments made by others. You just bombasticly repeat what you believe with misplaced bravado, and unsubstantiated assertions. It's pretty obvious that there's no constructive progress to be made here. So keep doing your thing man. I'm sure there's a niche somewhere for your particular style of "constructive criticism".
  5. Again you seem to be confused about the meaning of the words broken and poorly balanced. Obviously there is a difference. And there is a difference between settings. It's in the numbers. You being so skilled, that it hardly matters to you is another matter. Take a step back and watch it objectively instead of from an offended position. There is no light to see. You asked yourself for a reasonable debate. Seems to me like most people complied. And now you sweep all other opinions aside in a really rude manner calling everybody non believers who hasn't seen the light, among other stuff... Really man?
  6. I think the people who don't see the game as being broken like you do Master Guardian, disagree because they don't only focus on the combat aspect. For most people (I assume) a broken game, is a game that won't let you continue to play, or breaks down in some fashion as its default response to your gameplay choices. But I can understand your position and your argument, it's not fun to run over every encounter at max difficulty, if combat challenge is what you seek. But like Mannock, I probably wouldn't call it broken. The screen doesn't go black when you steamroll a dragon? The game isn't crashing? It's just easy right? Rather I'd call it poorly balanced. Because that's essentially what you're describing. As Josh has stated, the devs has acknowledged that it is an issue, and that it will be looked at. But Obsidian has more urgent issues with actually game breaking stuff right now. At the end of the day, it's their choice what to prioritize, and they have had full gameplay feedback for only a week now. I think you're being a little impatient, but then again, I stopped playing a few days ago until the patch, so I can understand that sentiment. We all want to play and have fun.
  7. Ofcourse Obsidian want constructive criticism, but that's really not what's going on here. You're being completely tunnelvisioned, and your claims are false. It's not debatable. The consensus on steam, and on metacritic is that 90% of the reviews are very to overwhelmingly positive. An unplayable bugfest as you describe would NEVER get such reviews. Noone is saying, that there isn't any bugs, but it's really a minor issue for the most part. You're grasping at straws to force your false narrative upon this forum, and it's getting so damn old.
  8. "So many negative reviews". I don't know where you guys are watching. Personally I stay away from the cesspool that is steam, but the metascore is 90%. This game has far fewer negative reviews with any substance on metacritic than most of it's peers. So be real for once in your life. I have had few bugs, and they're all on the list for tomorrows patch.
  9. Abit dramatic, no? Having one all powerful book where you can use your magic eraser to endlessly write on top of written text to get the best meta spells is immersive. Having to actually make a choice, by looking through dusty old books to find the one you deem has the best spells on it's pages for an encounter with the limitations it presents is just taking you out of the experience? damn, being a mage surely has to be convinient to be immersive, huh..
  10. Don't worry ma'am! Your kid will be patched back into the game next tuesday. ^_^
  11. What are people going on about? Backer update 13 is very specific. Relationships is not only romancing. Nobody said that you could or should romance everybody. Obsidians communication is crystal ****ing clear guys. Each companion relationship is unique and ends in different ways. That doesn't mean they'll all end on your ****. It's not vague at all. It has all been explained. Josh states, and I'm quoting:" The important thing that I want to stress here is that, each companion relationship is unique, and should develop in an appropriately unique way. We're not trying to set out to say, we're gonna have this many relationships of this type, or this many relationships of another type." That is super easy to understand. You gotta be really horny to interpret that as a promise to smash eveybody. If anybody feels betrayed at this point, they should have paid closer attention.
  12. If you really pay attention to the title of this sub forum, you'll notice it says (NO SPOILERS). So in the words of Ron Burgundy:
  13. I have taken all the easy achievements and a few others to experiment with it. My conclusion is the boring one. I think that it's individual preference what to pick. Personally I don't ever pick stuff, you'll get anyways like lvl 4 from start, fine equipment, the sail or gold. I find the +2 to all attributes insanely strong, double class skill bonuses great, and I like the vendor with unique items in the first port.
  14. I know it might be temporary, but going from 88% up to 90% is still really super good! It's been said alot, but I feel it can't be said enough. Well done Obsidian, thank you for your hard work!
  15. I have had this running for some hours now. Feel like I'm in an episode of 24. ^_^
  16. Week off, disabled social interactions. Chicken nachos supreme served at games launch time with salsa, creme fraiche, and epic homemade guacamole! Followed up by strawberries, and ferrero rocher for late night snacking.
  17. Hah! That one made me chuckle! Well played Infinitron! ^_^
  18. Having games on battle.net, steam, GoG, and Origin is not really a problem for me anymore. I'd love a third party app, that logged them all in, and let me access all my game from one place, but if that's not possible, opening different apps for different games is really a first world problem.. And a small one at that. ^_^
  19. Am I misunderstanding the discussion here, or is one party actually arguing that Fergus is guilty until proven otherwise. Because one can't simply make up false accusations? MCA needs to step up. His vague excuse on the codex boards, that "they're the only ones who asks" is getting old. If he really got any proof about nepotism, fraud, or anything like that, he needs to show up or shut up. That's where it's at.. Cuz right now, he's just looking pathetic.
