  1. I can definitely agree that games are easier and more dumbed down. As you said, there are pros and cons to that outcome. I miss the good strategy titles, but I like being able to jump in and play easily enough.
  2. It is really tough to actually prove that games are getting shorter. When I was growing up, adventure games were king and you could finish those in a matter of a few hours. Early FPS games were also incredibly short. In fact it is fairly amazing that the price of games has only moved a smidge given the huge increase in costs that game developers have faced. You could argue specifically that RPG's have gotten shorter, but then you get games like Oblivion, Risen, and Two Worlds that are absolutely huge. I really see this as a "When I was younger, things were better" argument. The reality tends to be that you were easier to please when you were younger.
  3. Really? Did you enjoy the original? I did, but I'm always worried about sequels.
  4. I'm a little surprised at the going rate of pride myself. On topic, I bought Awakenings yesterday. I'm not quite into it yet. I might be burnt on DA.
  5. It's less a question of legality and more a question of right and wrong.
  6. WoW... a whole 1 day of gameplay for 50 bucks... One of the reason as to why I partially support piracy Yes, always have to find someway to justify your unwarranted sense of entitlement.
  7. WoW... a whole 1 day of gameplay for 50 bucks... Don't worry, someone will come to convince you that its a good deal. It's all relative. We spend $10 on about 2 hours of movie entertainment. Not every game can give you a hundred hours of entertainment.
  8. I'm from San Jose, which has a pretty mediocre theme song. That's in California, which is a part of Mexico.

I was pretty excited, to say the least. Thornton has really found his game in this series, he's making the big plays when it matters most.
  10. My core class solidified there position as best class ever today by giving my a $150 gift card to Gamestop. It is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I usually get a few nice cards, but this was very unexpected.
  11. He was defending his country from an invading force. It's not like he just travelled around the world shooting folks.
  12. Creepy. I wouldn't be too concerned about overly fast weight loss. In the 300's it is going to come off quickly, there is a lot to lose. If you get down to the 200's and you are still losing as fast, then there might be cause for concern.
  13. I'm getting ice and electrotherapy on my leg right now. It feels great though, I played a solid hockey game this weekend and I think it is almost up to full strength.
  14. That is defintely healthier! I'm not saying a pound of sausage is normal, its just not man versus food challenging.
  15. That's only liikke 3-4 sausages Kill
  16. I agree. It's a pretty odd way to introduce yourself to a new group, to share a fairly offensive story. Again, I can see the racial stuff being unintentional, but there you go.
  17. Not my intention. I was just trying to make the reader read it as I heard and saw it. Keep in mind I'm from Louisville and the various underclasses from each ethnic group all have their own devolved dialogue of the English language whether it be black, or white. I suppose, it just seemed like pointing out her race was unnecessary to the story. And why didn't you disclose the race of the trainer? It's just you've got a black person and then you are telling a story about eating fried chicken, it can come across as a bit racially offensive. I mean it's already offensive to fat people, so it's already got a fairly negative tone to it, so the jump to race isn't terribly hard to make. I'm not trying to give you a hard time or anything, you don't seem like you are intentionally being offensive, I just thought the story sounded a bit odd.
  18. I find it hard to believe that Scarlet Johanssen doesn't add anything, she's wonderful to look at. Ninja Assassin - I knew what to expect, and I suppose it met those expectations. Eh.
  19. Am I the only one who thinks this story has some serious racist undertones to it?
  20. don't ever let her read my posts about how you were better off without her, otherwise she might not let me be an usher at the wedding Yeah, now it's going to be all uncomfortable because we sided with Kor on this.
  21. Slowtrain is like my doppelganger. We have the same tastes and interests, but I am overly optomistic and he is eternally pessimistic. It creates a good balance in the world.
  22. I believe 10 minutes is for full credit. So you would still get decent marks if you were in the 12 min. Range. But theyh do this every week, there should be some progress. Id huff my way through a mile right now, but after a couple weeks id start improving.
  23. I'm surprised how many kids fail PE in High School nowadays too. My wife tells me she has about a 60% passing rate, granted she is at a tough school, but that is really sad. An example of an assignment is doing a mile in 10 minutes. You can get that done with a slow jog, and kids still fail it!
  24. I do get new students every year There is a chance that my artists will change with the seasons, which will be a shame. But I'm enjoying it so much, I plan on spending my free time this summer trying out some graphics programs and purchasing a drawing tablet.
  25. I'm going to be running my first actual storyline in about two weeks as part of Zombie Appreciation week. I've also added a like button to the site which...does very little. Apparently there is also a plugin that will link the like button with your facebook account, so you press like and it shows up in facebook or something. It sounded a bit invasive, actually, so I haven't decided whether to give it a run. I've got an open competition going in my classroom for a header and banner design, so those should be up by next week.
