  1. I think the latest rumours were more about GM Sutter being fired, rather than Coach Sutter. I imagine the two would go hand in hand. Still seems like a bit quick on the gun, it's a competitive squad that barely missed the post-season. Given that they made a few big trades recently, I would think they would give it another season before a wholesale housecleaning.
  2. Trading Iginla would be fairly insane, but who knows? He needs a good center. Maybe the Bruins could make a move for him, Savard would be a nice setup man for him if he can stay healthy next year.
  3. I suppose the folks who work for the major news organizations would qualify.
  4. I agree with Dogmeat, the closest comparison would be a game about brutally killing kids. It's just tasteless and disturbing, I'm surprised how many people are defending it.
  5. I'll be honest, this Toby guy seems like a total douche. Aside from the picture, which removes all doubt of douchiness, the whole situation smacks of a guy throwing a tantrum because he lost his job. He's not a journalist, by the way. He never was. Zoo Weekly looks more like a weak ripoff of Maxim.
  6. Wow, I need to figure out how to do that.
  7. That doesn't actually sound demanding or threatening. It is a bit oddly written, but I would guess most developers stress the groundbreaking-ness of their titles.
  8. I believe he was referring to the throwing of the dead dog into the back of his truck, not the act of burial.
  9. I'm not a fan of Budweiser, but they have a few other brews that they put out which I enjoy. Shocktop is pretty decent.
  10. I'd be tempted myself. That's a lot of money!
  11. Now that I have a smartphone (The Droid) I just don't see the point in the IPad. The only thing I can really think of using it for would be a book reader, which I would rather get the Barnes and Noble one if I went that way.
  12. Cheers for teaching me a new word today Monte. Hagiology is interesting.
  13. This is awesome, definitely the coolest thing I've seen in awhile.
  14. The real amazing thing about Just Cause 2 is the huge open world that is remarkably well crafted. I flew up to a giant airship last night, I was surprised how high up it really was.
  15. I am positive they will all return in ME3, just like all the NPC's in ME1 returned in ME2. They just will not be recruitable, most likely, as that is tougher to create content for. Guest spots are fine with me.
  16. There is a fairly gigantic difference between sex and rape. I hope everyone understands that.
  17. There are millions of Muslims in the US who practice freely and play large roles in their communities, so it always makes me scratch my head when folks feel the Western World is trying to wipe out Islam. We even have a Muslim congressman who was sworn in on the Qu'ran.
  18. Actually, at first I was a bit hesitant about blowing up gas stations and water tanks. I mean pulling down statues and blowing up military bases is one thing, but the other stuff seems a lot more terrorist-y. But then I realized I get cool giant numbers that flash across the screen as I blow stuff up, and my moral compunctions faded.
  19. I've been laying waste to stuff all over the place. I blew up an oil rig today, it was phenomenal. This game is extremely impressive.
  20. I felt like Dreamworks found their game with Kung Fu Panda. Glad to hear they are continuing to produce solid movies.
  21. Both are sick, actually. There is a pretty big difference between a FPS or GTA style game and an actual realistic murder simulation.
  22. The theme of Satan is a very old concept tracing back throughout history and predating modern religions. It is a very powerful part of human nature, the idea of evil or darkness. We aren't talking about a horned guy in a hot place, as most religions make it clear that the devil can take many shapes. As for Wals's point, I like Orogun's observation about Satan being a primarlily New Testament character to separate evil from God. From a theological standpoint it makes sense, as proselytizing someone with a vengeful God is going to be much harder than a compassionate one. It is odd then, that Satan receives no compassion, but perhaps his very existence is a mercy given by God.
  23. Is Hoegaarden an Abbey beer?
  24. I'm just glad Pronger is out of the Western Conference. Guy was always a killer against the Sharks. It will be pretty sad if Colorado misses the playoffs. They were expected to be the bottom of the whole division, and they have been a fun surprise this year.
  25. I have been in Yosemite all week with my school, and I just now got a chance to stop at a wifi hotspot and check my emails. The world is pretty much the same. We did have a fright a couple days ago. We were hiking up a steep trail called yosemite falls. It was raining, and we were about 3 miles up. There was a rockfall, and two students were hit by softball sized rocks. Search and rescue came up and helped us get them back down. Luckily they were just scraped up and got back outside the next day with a few bruises.
