I love the idea of the Tough Mudder races, but I know I'd probably tear something sliding through all of those obstacles.

It may change, for sure. I'm only 3 episodes in. Best dumb moment in TV. -

Because it is a sitcom, I think doing the dumb thing works. I mean Seinfeld and Friends are basically built on people making bad decisions. The stakes are low, so it doesn't matter as much as the joke. -

I started watching She-Hulk with my daughter. It's hilarious. It's a solid situational comedy set in the MCU, and I'm enjoying it. I don't understand what the complaints were. *shrug* edit: It reminds me of Parker Lewis Can't Lose. -

I finished Book of Boba Fett. I had watched the first couple episodes and lost interest, but I circled back. It's only 7 episodes and that felt right. It gets better when it just becomes The Mandalorian season 3. There was a really good episode directed by Ron Howard's daughter where they just rebuild a starship for the entirety. Those are the details I enjoyed. The story was bad, for the most part, but there were some likeable characters along the way. I found it was best to ignore the plot and enjoy the neat sets and costumes. -
Hmm, I will have to look into that. They have an education edition, but it is unclear how an individual can get it. My district uses Apple.

PCPartPicker is amazing and I am enjoying using it to build. I have a NewEgg card, so that is why I prefer to use it to order stuff. That way I have 12 months to pay it off if needed. But I'm struggling over the OS situation. It is an extra $100 to buy it and my budget is already stretched thin. I know I can probably get a cheap key somewhere, but that makes me nervous. What do you guys do about your OS whem you build a PC? Don't say linux.

Thanks. I mean, it would have been easier if you guys had just told me the iBuyPower rig was fine for the kid, because now I have to build something. Ah well, it will be a good father-son project.

My son needs a new computer, and I'm planning on getting him a decent desktop that will hopefully last the next 5 years. He mostly plays games like Overwatch. I toyed with building it myself, but I haven't done that in 20 years. This thing looks pretty affordable and would seem to save me the headache of learning everything over again: https://www.newegg.com/ibuypower-slatemr1004/p/N82E16883227981?Item=N82E16883227981 I know it needs RAM, but everything else seems decent. I haven't used ibuypower before, but they seem to have a decent reputation from what I can tell. Suggestions?

I get that a bit. I told my wife from the beginning that there was no way they could afford Samwise Gamgee/Rudy for more than a season. Although I was a bit surprised Paul Reiser avoided a similar fate. But the first season was a lot less clear about the stakes and who was considered a main character. It has settled into a more comfortable show for me. I just remember turning it off years ago after the 2nd episode because it was upsetting me. I also struggled with The Black Phone recently, but watched it because my wife and daughter wanted to, and I enjoyed it at the end. -
It looks like she confirmed the $15k offer, which blows her credibility out of the water. Ouch.

A boy my son's age disappears in the first episode and then a girl my daughter's age gets killed in the second episode. What genre do you think that is? edit: There are a lot of different types of horror movies. I can watch the slapsticky ones like Evil Dead all day long, but when it involves kids, I get more uncomfortable. -

I've been working my way through Stranger Things with my wife. I tried to watch it when it first came out, but it was too scary. I'm putting on a brave face for my wife though. We just started season 3. -

I've noticed a number of the streaming services are glitchy when it comes to commercials. -
So...I finished Lord of the Rings Online. You might ask yourself how I finished an MMORPG. Those games are supposed to have an endgame that just goes on and on. But after over 15 years of play, my Captain of Man has travelled with the fellowship of the ring, and now the ring is destroyed. I hope that isn't a spoiler. I didn't actually do the destroying. Frodo did it. Well, technically Gollum did it. It was confusing. I do know that I rode an eagle to rescue Frodo and Samwise, and now everything is peaceful and I'm supposed to attend Aragorn's wedding. But that seems more like an epilogue thing than a main story thing. Anyways, 15+ years, 110 levels, and probably somewhere in the 1000-hour range of game time, I have finally completed the main storyline of LotrO. It's crazy to think that the game was originally released really only covering the first book/movie, and now it has grown above and beyond the source material by quite a bit.

Tim Curry and Biff are the only video game actors I know. I wonder how much the voice actors for the Elex series make? Back to the Bayonetta lady, I don't think the statement was meant to throw anyone under a bus. She seems to be saying that she created an iconic voice for the character, and anyone coming in to replace her is simply doing an impression of her work. I have no idea how accurate that is since I don't play the games. Would we be upset if James Earl Jones was replaced by a decent impressionist? Also, $15-20k sounds a lot more reasonable for the work, but I'm not sure how believable the company response is. It definitely spices up the drama though.
