Funny Stuff: Which website did Chewbacca get arrested for creating? Wookieleaks!
That's why Crossfit and gyms like F45 are so popular. They provide the plans and the goals, and even gamify the process quite a bit. Granted they are stupid expensive because of it. Also Crossfit can be super risky, since they focus on speed and reps over form. I'm terrible at getting in gym work, but I know it helps to have a workout group that you regularly interact with. Most gyms also have classes, I think. I've done a few HIT classes at my gym, and those are fun. edit: I know we are all anti-social here, but you can probably find at least one workout buddy.

What You've Done Today - Keep Dreaming...
There must be something going around, because my dad has also recently gotten back into building a model train layout. We had one in the garage when I was a kid. I think it was supposed to be something we did together, but he did most of the work. My daughter has a train and track around her room that she set up with my help. It isn't a large setup, just a few decorations on slightly unstable shelves, but it looks cool. As a renter, I've always cleaned out my own gutters. I guess I'm either a good tenant or a chump. My current house has these cheap plastic gutters that don't really work anyways, but when I get up there to put on Xmas lights, I might as well clean he crud out of them.

I love it. Can I write off my bikes and running shoes? I think my gym and swim center actually is tax-exempt. It is run by the city.

What You've Done Today - Keep Dreaming...
I just signed my wife and I up for a marathon, so that's something. We are doing the California International Marathon in Sacramento. It isn't until December, so lots of time to work on the mileage and regret my life choices. I'm not worried about the distance, but I do want to hit a certain time, and that is going to put some pressure on. This will be the first for both of us.

What are you Playing Now? It's not how you play the game, it's how you place the blame
Did anyone even play Anthem? That game had nothing I was interested in.

See How They Run - This was a fun story set around Agatha Christie's Mousetrap. It had a great cast. I enjoyed it as much as the Glass Onion movies.

What are you Playing Now? It's not how you play the game, it's how you place the blame
Outward has me hooked. Last night I managed to travel to a ley line and unlock my ability to do magic. I was ready for bed, so I took a boat back to a beach and looked for a place to camp. There was a fortress nearby, and the guards seemed friendly enough (they didn't try to kill me on site). I asked for shelter, but they knocked me out, took all my stuff, and threw me in a cell. So I guess I will be trying to escape the next time I play. At least I have a couple spells now, so I'm not defenseless. Not having a quicksave or reload option puts you in some strange spots.

edit: I guess he was playing an Angel named Metatron, which I didn't remember at all.

There was a nice looking mousepad in there, but I'd like to see some more Pillars gear. It's fairly amazing we've gone this long without having some annoying ads on the forum. Everywhere else on the internet is inundated with flashing banners.

Outward - This is an interesting RPG. No save system, and death works as a mechanic that puts you in strange situations. It has taken some getting used to, but the world is engaging and the gameplay is decent. It reminds me of Risen quite a bit, but it seems more complex.

NFL 2022-2023: The Bad Man is Gone
He kicked it into the guy's hand, so it was bad. But the Dallas D looks good, so who knows? Edit: Why can't punters take over extra point duties?

Hey, I haven't given it a stamp of approval, so there is still hope. Although I liked In Bruges, so I will probably dig it.

Random video game news... RNG says "Nope"
Just another bad JA game... Wait, they have Ian Currie? Am I feeling a glimmer of hope? Ian Currie is a game changer. He created JA2. After Sir-Tech closed down, he ended up going over to Turbine and worked on Lord of the Rings Online for over a decade. Those are the two games I consistently go back to over the years. So maybe this new JA has a chance of being great.

Huh, I thought Stephen Dorff hated superhero flicks.

Good Old Games still good
It took some time, but it seems like Galaxy has finally become a pretty solid platform for gaming. I find myself using it more than Steam, and it is where I tend to look first when I am in the mood for a new game. Raithe is the only person I have friended though, so, I'll need to add some people. My son has also taken over my Steam account. The family mode on Steam still sucks.

There is a big sale too. I decided to pick up Outward on sale and give that a try.

Maybe Philosophy, Maybe Madness, Or Maybe just the Meme Quotes....
I'm not sure what the difference is between I care for you and you matter to me. I mean, I agree that very little words are needed the deeper a relationship gets, but I'm just not sure those phrases are the best example of that. I agree with Gromnir though. The only way 'goodbye' carries more weight than 'I love you' if it is followed by death.

Obituary thread
Very sad, he had 2 kids in the car. Thankfully it sounds like they survived. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt, which I just don't understand.

I like how we keep catch phrases alive here even when the poster who popularized it is gone. R00fles!

Clearly you need a screen in front of that elliptical. Or get one of these new exercise MMO's that make you grind levels by doing physical activity. edit: I'm pretty happy running in the rain. Riding the bike is miserable though.- Food Thread - Obsidian Gormand's Edition
I've had some pretty good crab, but lobster has never appealed to me. I mean, it's really just the butter that people seem to love. edit: Of course, being a West Coast lifer, I've probably never had a chance to eat lobster fresh.- Cinema and Movie Thread: I like to remember things my own way.
