  1. I'm working - and I have hangovers..

I wonder why many were so repetitive. I wanted to get even/I wanted revenge .. there's not a big enough difference between these two to justify including both imo.
  3. I'm sooo in to you! But yeah Mus?, problem with discussing morality in a fictional universe is that you tend to draw in the moderen philosophies and theories - I do however think it could be relevant to view the dominant theories of the time GL wrote SW - to get a better understanding of the background of his particular morale/ethical cobnstruct. When did he write it?
  4. Since he's called the "abjurant champion" maybe he ins't allowed to join groups? a kind of I'll-do-it-myself guy.
  5. That strikes me as rather wierd - wait - what if they only die because Oscar lies next to them!? - Hey Oscar, who's next?
  6. rubber mallets? meh - mine had sharpened nails and a zealous devotion to defend their idols honour! on the other hand, your's did drop their shoes - which means they could run faster.. While the girls who chased me had tons of merchandise and autographs - ah okay, I'll grant you a draw..
  7. I once ran away from a pack of starving teenagers, who had the idea that I was a boyband hater - this was true of course - but how they got this information is beyond me. I think I ran about a mile before loosing them - and while it certainly seemed like more than an eternity - I'm sure it was something like 5-6 minutes. I'm thinking of developing a workoutprogram based on the experience.
  8. Yeah. ReBoot was pretty awesome.
  9. Actually, animals do it all the time.
  10. I have huge problems with my group powerplaying.. Why didn't I ever think of this!
  11. then how about...... Star Wars ...... Galaxies.....
  12. I saw Idiocracy yesterday. A good idea and a decent plot (too many holes though), but the actors are horrible (except for the female lead) so the story simply falls short - there's nothing to carry it - so it becomes unbelievable and stereotypish.
  13. You scored 5 Honor, 1 Justice, 10 Adventure, and 7 Individuality! Pirate Raider More than just the usual swabbie, you demand not only the life at sea, free from landlubbers and their rules, but also you require adventure and excitement. You're happiest when the guns are blazing, the risk high, the outcome uncertain, but the chance for reward substansial. Your kind are welcomed as allies and feared as enemies. Put on your wooden leg and hook. You'll do just fine!
  14. I think everyone needs to remember that, while you may not agree with someones opinion, attitude or demeanor, this doesn't mean you have to right to denounce their right to think what they will or what they choose to believe and/or be fanatical about. Let's respect each other's opinions here. After all, we fancy ourselves rather openminded - let's show it.
  15. that would be silly to believe indeed.
  16. HK-47's morbidly sarcastic "jokes" like his definition of Love or his insane story in KOTOR1.
  17. 1. Jolee (KOTOR1) - He reminded me of my grandfather. A somewhat bitter old man, with little patience - but some funny stories and a good heart. 2. Khelgar (NWN2) - Monk? A dwaren monk? - The first dwarf I've ever kept in my company for more than 2 minutes - funny, spiteful and good in a fight. 3. Edwin (BG2) - The Nether Scroll "incident" was one of the funniest times I've ever had playing. Especially if you pay a visit to the Copper Coronet. 4. Kreia (KOTOR2) - She could've been my favorite character if the game had had all the cut content I think - She made me view SW in a very different way. 5. Imoen (BG1-2) - A very deep character who fleshed out the BG universe and your own PC, it wouldn't have been the same game without her. 6. HK-47 (KOTOR1-2) - If I could only have kept that Pacifier Module in him! His definition of love still cracks me up though. 7. Bastilla Shan (KOTOR1) - Mostly because she was so well voice acted, but she gave the game alot of it's feel. 8. Saverok (BG2 TOB) - It was very interesting to get to join forces with your former nemesis. 9. Minsc and Boo (BG1-2) - I've never used him much, but I still remember fondly how much I laughed at his strange comments in both games - not to mention his companion and everyones favorite miniature giant space hamster. 10. I really didn't know who to place here - since there are alot of characters I liked enough for them to get this ranking, but none of them really stood out. Honourable mentions would be Ammon Jerro and Sand (NWN2) Jaheira and Yoshimo (BG2) and Canderous (KOTOR)
  18. the "how to drive a tank" is actually an interesting read.
  19. I suspect that you're absolutely right. Although I'm sure there are alot of superficial references, which adds some depth, like in Lost.
  20. well I think we have arrived at that final stop. Thanks to everyone for being civilized, as this discussion drifted off topic (and my apologies for helping it drift a little further).
  21. moved to appropriate forum - sorry for the late respons time.
  22. 1. 2. "The entropy of an isolated system not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium." - how is this in violation with evolution? 3. Every living organism is in a constant transitional phase - You can easily find markers of previous forms - like the Coccyx commonly refered to as the tailbone. There are also plenty of transitional forms. 4. wrong - it says life originated and evolution proceeded due to natural selection and competition. Mutation could be viewed at as a game of chance, the same could however be said about anything. 5. True - but if you believe in empiricism nothing is ever really proved - some things are just alot more likely than others. and your right - this is not really the place to discuss this - but I had to respond to some of those statements.
  23. Ghosts of Cit
  24. yeah my list would look something like that - except Beatie Boys over Queens of the Stonage.
