  1. is that some kind of statement Baley, because I don't get the humour in it.
  2. is that some kind of statement mkreku, because I don't get the humour in it.
  3. oh yeah I remember that game - that was awesome! it had a kind of Risk strategy board right? were you would conquer provinces and defend from the other major powers..
  4. I did almost the same thing in my current campaign as Sicily, although it was Florence that was the target of attack and I only took half my generals. Perfect start. I doubt it, since the expansion does little to nothing to improve the vanilla Grand Campaign.
  5. heh
  6. I wonder how fun it would be to play the game from Martin's perspective, keep sending people out on missions into Oblivion (red. living hell) and sit around a nice fire all the time, reading evil books.
  7. Isn't that Wulffmorgenthaler (in english)?
  8. I usually have my "bad seeds" join a crusade - they get alot of Chivalry points, command points and law bonuses - makes them very valurable in a "short" amount of time .. and if their are somewhat disloyal they usually gain 2-3 points there as well due to being so chivalours.. Besides it's all the more Epic when Roger the Honourable meets Jebe the Tyrant.
  9. I'm guessing our regent thought "with allies like that, who needs enemies?".. I mean Lord Nelson took our entire navy (the second biggest in the world at the time) and bombed our capital. Talk about hurting our pride. Besides, Denmark has always had a good relationship with France - how could we kiss-and-forget.
  10. yeah they've really scaled the cavalries effectiveness.. Which is a good thing - but I relied on horses alot in the former game and suddenly I was being ripped to pieces when I attacked spearmen from the flank. I had to change strategies rather quickly. I've never dared letting the computer control anything for me, save taxes when I have a huge empire and money flow is largely irrelevant, is it able to spend and build responsibly?
  11. Apropos "Kingmaking" - Is there a way to switch heirs in MTW? I've never seen the option..
  12. It greatly depends if you view films as a media capable of potraying art. Most people don't - which is perfectly understandable. But this distinction makes artistic films have a rather hard time as they are judged by "entertaining" standards.
  13. Denmark wasn't interested in joining the war, but considered England the most realistic ally if they were to join anyone - then England demanded Denmark navy, obviously we refused, they bombed, and then Denmark sided with Napoleon.. call us bitter loseres, but would you do any different?
  14. 200 years ago, Lord Nelson attacked Copenhagen in order to seize Denmarks navy in Englands war with Napoleon - the Copenhagen Cathedral (and much of it's surroundings) burned to the ground in the English attack. An artistic duo has made a very interesting art piece representing what happened, by setting fire to the church (or so it seems when your inside).. it's really beautiful and to me it's a good example of how you can use Churches for eksperimental art. It's part of a larger series of art pieces, shows and historical reenactments called (ironically) "Golden Days in Copenhagen"
  15. I really dig the Mangonel in the Crusader Campaign.. They shoot barrels with oil that catch fire and rain death upon your enemies.
  16. I just stumbled across this, a friend of mine took it in his "I want to take pictures of pretty girls phase" - still, I thinks it's good.
  17. It's the northern natives - Indians. They have a fairly low-tech unit rooster, but are able to build the "gun trader tent" which allows them to get European weaponry.
  18. The game is massive, it fills up 12 gb on my harddrive now. But so far I'm happy with my buy, Kindgom feels like a true expansion to the original game. Can't wait for Empires either though, while I would love to see Shogun remade, I'm sure they'll make an excellent game with a naval setting.
  19. You might wanna post about that here.
  20. I've ordered it already - should arrive any day - I can't wait..
  21. huh? Hyperspace, Warp Speed, Photon Torpedoes and Laser beams definitely fall into the catagory of fiction (and particularly science fiction at that).
  22. That's Sunshine, a pretty decent film - mostly due to it's very artistic tone and design. I thought Solaris was a very interesting Sci-Fi, the original Russian film is albiet more groundbreaking - but still.
  23. hahah! Pop - that's seriosuly one of the funniest gifs I've seen!
  24. Medieval Total War 2, playing as Egypt .. I always enjoy playing the Muslim Factions more than the Christian nations - Defending (and holding ground) against hordes of Crusaders and Mongols is very satisfying. Plus there's no pesky excommunication to deal with, not to say that this is going to prevent me from assasinating the Pope every now and then.
  25. I'll Kiss you!! .. wait.. damn..
