  1. Wanted to replay Mass Effect as female and "evil", but the game is a little boring on the second playthrough. Looking forward to the expansion though.. Now I'm embarking on my first ever MMO - Age of Conan!! (well technically my second, but I only played Tales of The Desert for a few weeks) Anyone here playing it?
  2. yay, I'm a fanboy too now!
  3. But what is the issue then? if we are more violent as an entire species now? Maybe that's so, but rather I believe violence is on the rise due to certain factors in the world - a focus in the media on hopeless violence and a colouring of facts and spins on crime. People believe society is more violent, so they react more violent to protect themselves from that. (a cheap argument, but I believe it's true from my time working in a rehab) Plus we are becoming increasingly individual in our perspective in the West. Not independet, but individual. We can forge a world view today without even meeting people, which creates some rather crazy people.
  4. A LucasArt MMO? .. I don't have high hopes for that, they don't seem like a company who can stay focused on a project for very long before they move on the the next "big thing" often leaving some of their releases battered and bleeding behind. But then again, maybe they can muster the will and manpower to make a good game. Cheers to that.
  5. Can we agree that Denmark has a less degree of violence and crime commited with weapons than America? and can we agree that the availability of weapons are somewhat lower here than in America? While it's a somwhat "Erasmus argument" linking those two, imo they are undoubtly connected. Fewer weapons = fewer crimes with weapons.. (I'm not not saying it equals less crime!) Ergo, fewer people die as a result of crime, if weapons are harder to get. Also I know this wasn't your argument, but I believe Gorgon was hinting towards this.

Aliens really would be a bad turn, also if it turns out the Island is the original Atlantis I'm gonna be quite dissapointed!
  7. that would be.. disturbing.. But it should be a simple matter, I think, of modding it so a male body is available even though you pick female.. of course the in game dialouge would refer to you as "she" even though you look like a "he". and the sex scene with Kaidan would be somewhat wierd.. unless you fancy that kind of thing.
  8. Jennifer Hale is a better voice actor, Mark really sounds robotic as Zoma mentioned - lacking emontional depth, but I still prefer playing male. Finished as a Paragon Male Soldier and now trying as a Renegade Sentinel Female. I'm glad I unlocked the Asssault rifle achivement in the previous game.
  9. Did they not try that unsuccessfully in Civ III? Yeah it was in Civ 3. I don't know if it was unsuccesful though, they were somewhat useful and made things easier to organize. But on the harder difficulties you had to be quite agressive to get the leader who was able to form armies.
  10. Exploring mortality is one of the more interesting turns the show has taken for a while. When thinking back on how Cylons were in the first 3 season, now they have really become deeper and more interesting characters as a whole. I look forward to seeing what mortality will bring them. Though I fear it won't be that pleasent.
  11. Pushing down children? no doubt! But I couldn't bring myself to sacrifice women.. I need them to repopulate the planet!
  12. Mass Effect.. Most nerdy joke in the game is when Kaidan (or whatever his name is) says he's afraid of being considered a whiner, since it's Raphael Sbarge (Carth for you KOTOR freaks) who is the voice actor. I laughed.. then I felt ashamed..
  13. I liked AvP2. It was a good action movie that didn't try to be something else, unlike AvP1. - Plot Spoiler ahead - (yeah I know)
  14. We use a small computer chip in the Visa, Master and normal credit cards, so you can't forge the magentic strip (which is also on the cards) + you have to use a PIN number. Only a handful of shops require you to sign it instead these days. I always thought the signing was there to give you a way of refuting a certain purchase to the card company. Not to specifically verify your identity - hence the reason shops don't really care.
  15. AVP 2 ... horrible horrible film.. the people behind it should be barred from ever making films again or be forced to work with Uwe Boll - maybe their combined awfullness could make some kind of cult film? under any circumstance it's a good idea to keep those kind of people close togehter. for when the revolution comes.
  16. Pruned. Final warning.
  17. Thred pruned .. hard.. Stay focused people and discuss the issues at hand instead. I won't be as forgiving if this thread is derailed in a similar fashion again.
  18. Quite true. In this age of enviromental and health awareness it's important not to overlook equally important issues.
  19. But then came the Prussians and Bismarck!
  20. Just to clarify - The Dutch embassy wasn't hit (in case anyone from Holland should be worried). No Danish citizens were hurt, only Pakistani employees working in the embassy, people on the street and in the opposite building. One thing is to hate a country so much you want to kill it's citizen, but killing your own people for the slim chance of injuring a few of your "enemies" is just insane.
  21. There are about 6-7 people from Denmark on these boards, so the odds weren't that big. But it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's totally screwed when the Zombies strike! And nice call on the sticky! and Aram, I'll be heading for your place when the outbreak happens, just so you know it!
  22. I enjoyed Oblivion quite a bit. It feels somewhat forced at times and the levelling is a bit of a turnoff. But it's atmospheric and I really enjoyed the fact that you can travel between the towns on foot/horse and explore the country - it's easy enough to play no matter what "class" you chooce (which is important for me at least). All in all it's an ok game and worth the money you would pay for it today. I never finished it, but have had over a 100 hours of fun gameplay time. That's a pretty good $/fun ratio.
  23. I live right in the middle of Cophenhagen.. and Denmark as a whole is really a bad place to be in case of a zombie outbreak. No big mountains/hills, no good defendable areas - no wild life to speak of. Most of our livestock would die within the first months because they can't support themselves and are indoors most of the year. Food supplies are not a big problem though, but most are quite perishable, as we as a nation prefer organic and non conserved food. Guns are illegal (for civilians) unless you have a hunting licence and you can't buy big bladed weapons, so that's a big problem. We do have very old castles and fortifications though, which could hold out a zombie assault quite efficiently. But without weapons or a renewable food source, it would be a short adventure. My escape plan would be to get a boat a and go to either the Faroe Islands or Iceland. They are quite isolated, easy to defend and have enough fertile land to feed a small population. Later you could sail out and retake the big and small islands of Europe (England, Ireland etc.) btw. Shouldn't this thread be a sticky. So we can quickly find the info if/or when the outbreak happens.
  24. Gonna buy it for sure! I've been waiting for a good RPG since the Knights of the Old Republic series.
  25. I'm not denying I was lucky.. But KOTOR 2 has never once crashed on my computer and I never experienced any major bugs.
