There are about 6-7 people from Denmark on these boards, so the odds weren't that big. But it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's totally screwed when the Zombies strike! And nice call on the sticky! and Aram, I'll be heading for your place when the outbreak happens, just so you know it!

I enjoyed Oblivion quite a bit. It feels somewhat forced at times and the levelling is a bit of a turnoff. But it's atmospheric and I really enjoyed the fact that you can travel between the towns on foot/horse and explore the country - it's easy enough to play no matter what "class" you chooce (which is important for me at least). All in all it's an ok game and worth the money you would pay for it today. I never finished it, but have had over a 100 hours of fun gameplay time. That's a pretty good $/fun ratio.

I live right in the middle of Cophenhagen.. and Denmark as a whole is really a bad place to be in case of a zombie outbreak. No big mountains/hills, no good defendable areas - no wild life to speak of. Most of our livestock would die within the first months because they can't support themselves and are indoors most of the year. Food supplies are not a big problem though, but most are quite perishable, as we as a nation prefer organic and non conserved food. Guns are illegal (for civilians) unless you have a hunting licence and you can't buy big bladed weapons, so that's a big problem. We do have very old castles and fortifications though, which could hold out a zombie assault quite efficiently. But without weapons or a renewable food source, it would be a short adventure. My escape plan would be to get a boat a and go to either the Faroe Islands or Iceland. They are quite isolated, easy to defend and have enough fertile land to feed a small population. Later you could sail out and retake the big and small islands of Europe (England, Ireland etc.) btw. Shouldn't this thread be a sticky. So we can quickly find the info if/or when the outbreak happens.

So are you going to buy Mass Effect PC ?
Rosbjerg replied to Kaftan Barlast's topic in Computer and Console
Gonna buy it for sure! I've been waiting for a good RPG since the Knights of the Old Republic series. -
I'm not denying I was lucky.. But KOTOR 2 has never once crashed on my computer and I never experienced any major bugs.
-
KOTOR 2 had more bugs. But they were patched up pretty good. For me most of them were just minor, like certain dialouge options repeating themselves or holograms staying after they should've turned off. In KOTOR 1, I had one crash, that was it. So all in all the KOTOR series, even though they were made by different companies, have been amongst the more stable games I've played.

I think it's rather ridiculous to give sentences that far extend a persons lifespan. It would be simpler to just imprison him for life, without the finite number. But I think he deserves it, not only did he abuse his power - he has undermined the basis of his position - the people have to be able to trust the police. He has destroyed alot doing this, not only did he financially hurt innocent people, he probably traumatized a few as well. Maybe they won't call the cops next time, which could be disasterous.

You have alot of options, like grabbing people and throwing them around - a long blade, a short blade and a finger blade. But you end up just using the long sword, blocking their attacks and countering, because that's almost always an instant kill in the game. If you want it to be fun, you can jump around, switch weapons - throw people into walls etc. make it cinematic - but that takes forever. The combat is great for the first couple of hours imo, when you see all of Altairs moves, he does some wicked kills! After that it's still fun, but not so exciting. The cool stuff is climbing everywhere.

You know I tried making that work (countering with the hidden blade) but couldn't get it to work, so I gave up.. Obviously I sucked at the time, because now I tried it again and it works! Great!! ahh.. now I can use my favorite weapon ALL the time!

These figures are bases on what? current death rates vs development of birthrates over the last decade. In the 70's they were afraid of a massive famine, if the current birthrates vs deathrates continued. But development in farming (pesticides) enabled us to grow mass amounts of food.. problem solved, for a while.. What if we find a cure for cancer within 10 years? or if a multi resistent bacteria strain, immune to penicillin etc, cause an pandemic? There are alot of factors which we can't predict - especially when you are taking about developments well into the 22nd millenia. But in all fariness, we need these predictions to get a rough estimates on where we are headed.

Dharma needed heavy funding.. Why not Peggy's dad, who's name I've forgotten.. Or his dad.. since The Dharma Initiative is pretty old. Plus that explains why he wants to get rid of Ben so much.

Sins of a Solar Empire and Europa Universalis Rome. SoaSE really is like a new Homeworld. Just missing some of the charm. Rome is great! Paradox is a solid developer of historical games.

First Look: Star Wars Animated Show
Rosbjerg replied to Kelverin's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I thought it was gonna be a series not a film. oh well, I for one look forward to this. -
Did they? It would explain how she came out of that explosion without a scratch and in a brand new plane.. Maybe not Cylon, but maybe not Kara either.. in which case Kara, as in the real Kara really is dead (not saying she's an Alien though!)

Seems like it's filmed mainly in India, at least a lot of the footage from the trailer was from Rajasthan and the northern states. -
I didn't think I would have the time to bring an update here.. But luckily, being stuck in southern India proved me wrong. Me and my friend have now travelled through this populated country for 16 days - and it feels like several months. There's always things happening, people to meet and talk to and things to see. India is an interesting place - a mix between Europe and Asia, but really it's very own. And according to the Indians, like if you ask Americans about USA, India is the only important place in the world. So far, in our travels, we've seen white beaches, extreme wealth and poverty - beautiful jungles/rainforests, arid hills and landscapes, sprawling urban areas and remote mountain towns, old Hindi temples, Muslim Mosques and 500 year old Portouguise Churches. Now we are in a place called Kannur, the capital of Kerala (a southern state). We are staying here for 3 days to experience something called Theyuam dances (12 hours nonestop dancing) - a unique thing to this part of the country, which takes place inside the jungle. Moving on from here we are going to the southern tip of India and afterwards to Pondicherry, an old French colony. There's a lot to tell, but I won't bore you - I just wanted to tell you guys that I'm fine and having a blast. I've uploaded a few pictures. The first is me in Old Goa - an old Portouguise colony with over 15 big churches close together. The second is inside one of the churches. Third is an overgrown window in Panjim, Goa. The building was almost destroyed by plants. Fourth is from Palolem, Goa. A very Idyllical beach area - but full of tourists and backpackers. Last picture is from Mumbai (Bombay), taken from inside a Rickshaw in morning traffic.

28 Days Later is my favorite horror film. Then it's the first half of Stephen Kings "It"! Damn that clown was scary. The Thing, mostly due to the psychological impact it had on me - imagining being in a similar situation was a perfect horror setting in my mind. I would love to roleplay something like that, in a Lovecraft setting, with really talented players.

it looks like it's point and click - mostly due to the fact that it's build on the Bioware Aurora engine.
