  1. Are you restoring the holocron quests then?
  2. Great news! Wishing JE success and happiness at work.
  3. The first time I played, I did Nar Shadaa last and the Mira fight was crazy tough. Getting Hanharr to run through all the mines and her rocket launcher did nothing against him! I guess set up the mines and use your shields.
  4. Not surprised that the Japs prefer Sony. Plus, XBox has found it hard to break into that market.
  5. Same here. Watch it and tell us how it is.
  6. Bondage **** vs Beautifully Chaotic! I'm sure they'll have their uses depending who's online.
  7. I found out that Neil Gaiman will be promoting his latest book at my uni next week. There'll be a signing session at the end so I thought that I'd pick up a Sandman comic for him to sign. Any suggestions as to which one and why? I'm thinking of his latest Sandman standalone release.
  8. How do you get your lightsaber back from Atris?
  9. Outstanding: HK-47, Jolee Most improved: T3-M4 Worst: The wookies and GOTO Bao-Dur's a good idea to have - some techie that makes techie remarks/options given the opportunity. I think devs should realise that 95% of people won't be including some characters in most situations except very specific ones. For example nobody would include T3 in normal missions like Dantooine etc but they can shine in specific missions. I must admit though that T3 was useful as a portable workshop.
  10. I don't know about the rest of you, but I felt disappointed that there weren't any useful Jedi/Sith holocrons (Tulak Hord's saber skillz :kof kof:) that the player could use. Handmaiden mentioned that they were interactive (they asked her questions) so something like the Circle of Zerthimon would work great. Plus, it'd be a cool central decoration piece on the Hawk.
  11. Do they say anywhere concrete that the self is not important/does not exist etc? I've got the impression that Bhuddhism tries to let go of desire and the concept of self/ego - have seen references to it but no hardcore proof.
  12. The 8 fold path is mostly about doing/thinking good and having the right concentration, not necessarily discarding desire. I don't know if there's some hard evidence that you need to strip yourself from desire to achieve a state of enlightenment like what we see monks try to do.
  13. Btw, which part of Bhuddhism requires the surrendering of the self and discarding of desire? Their main beliefs are the 4 truths and 8 paths to overcome the former I think which involve having the right thoughts, actions and set of mind. I've seen references to the giving up of the concept of self, but I'm not sure whether this is maisntream Bhuddhism or whether it's the main beliefs. Someone know?
  14. Oh yeah, Bruce Lee would ride a dragon and fireball Tyson.
  15. Credit to Bliz - they didn't rush into making a sequel for Starcraft to cash in. Dungeon Keeper was really fun too Loved the ideas, prisons and torture chambers ^_^
  16. Tyson's whole training as a boxer is to attack with power and speed but only with fists. He blocks like a boxer and expects to take blows to the upper body in highly regulated circumstances. Tyson blocks by a guard absorbing blows. Bruce Lee fights with fists, feet, elbows, knees etc, is more spontaneous and there are no limits to what he can target his strikes. Bruce Lee blocks by deflection. Unless it's a boxing match with the rules that apply, Bruce Lee would have the significant advantage. Tyson would definitely have the advantage of fighting without gloves, but that's about it. If weapons are involved, Tyson would probably pick knuckle punchers. Bruce would have lots of other... options.
  17. I used some robes I looted from the Onderon palac. Just can't seem to get the higher lvl ones from random drops I'd just like to note that Sith Battle Suit is pretty nifty at 7/7.
  18. Zhang Ziyi for the win!
  19. Your freedom's not free at all.
  20. Bruce Lee knew what he was doing. I'd go for Bruce.
  21. I'm going to get all 6 movies when the come out in a DvD set together. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good point. Any idea if they're releasing all 6 or a 3+3 boxset?
  22. There definitely was a bombed bus - saw footage of a double decker with the top ripped off.
  23. I chose Starcraft although I haven't played LOTR None of those comes close to reproducing the genuine emotion while I played Starcraft. Maybe it's because its because of raised expectations but that's the way it is. Warcraft obviously deserves mention as does the AoM concepts - like the myth units ^_^
  24. Actually detonating above ground causes more damage than if it was on ground level - that's what they showed on Discovery when they were covering the Nagasaki bombings. Basically, if it's on the ground the force of the explosion spreads horizontally and upwards. The downward force is mostly confined to creating a crator directly below the bomb. If the bomb explodes while suspended, the downward force is more spread out across the target. I'm sure there's a height that maximises the damage tradeoff. And yes, they were aware of this effect during that time.
  25. I think Ep2 is a little underrated. To some degree Lucas' imagination was no longer constrained by technology like perhaps it was 20 years ago. If not for the awkward romance, the prequels would get higher ratings.
