  1. If this was about how say the Bush admin used public funds on their political messages or groups closely affiliated to the Republicans it'd be a scandal. The Palestinians must be fuzzier or something.
  2. I'm surprised that "old Europe" actually decided to handle negotiations with Iran. I suppose they are geographically closer to them after all.
  3. To the Palestinians, both the (relatively) moderate and the extreme, the Gaza pullout is just the beginning. The admin is claiming it as the result of their political prowess while the extremists are claiming it as victory and validation from their campaigns of "agression". The Palestinians won't be happy till they have EVERYTHING, including the whole of Jerusalem as the capital of their country which (surprise surprise) Israel is very reluctant to give. If you think the Gaza pullout will solve most problems very soon, that's highly unlikely. Actually with the extremists gaining popularity because of their "victory" things might actually get ugly when you have people thinking that violence brought around progress. Plus, if you're saying non-military random targeting civ-terrorists is relatively ok, don't be too disappointed if the extremist Israelis start pulling the same **** on the Palestinians or their own Israeli government. Will people say it's the fault of the Palestinians for stirring up the extremist Israelis then? Probably not.
  4. But are you Big? ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And strong?
  5. One thing I notice is that some pet owners are not qualified enough to own pets. Either they don't take good care of them (sometimes really bad - check out Animal Planet) or they don't train them to interact with society well. Personally I love dogs though the last time I had one was about 8 years ago. If I have one again I'll be making the comitment to make myself a better owner too (maybe classes). Here's a pic of a dog.
  6. Is this drama?
  7. They're all good to me but if I'm forced to pick I'd say brunette. As for long/short, it really depends on the person as a whole. Some just look good in it while it doesn't work for others.
  8. It just kills you inside when you turn on the power and your computer doesn't fire up like normal
  9. I prefer dogs personally. I hope to have one of those smart sheep rounding ones.
  10. Tried plugging in the power cable into the power socket on the wall and flipping its switch on?
  11. A spinoff of "Things you wish your character would say", I was thinking how cool it is to actually have a 3-person squad under your control to do your bidding. Post what your favourite combo is and why. I'll start by saying a combo of Mira, Handmaiden and Visas are the best for obvious reasons (Charlie's Angels ain't got anything on them). Mira should be able to handle explosives and computers, Handmaiden owns in combat and health while Visas handles repairs and stealth. Someone needs to make a dark wallpaper of the ladies silhouettes with their sabers standing out in the darkness
  12. Tasers are the bomb. I think if he weilded a katana the cops would have been forced to call the mecha squad for backup.
  13. One of the speedreading dudes said that the reason we can't normally read fast is that we've been trained to read words one by one. Basically we're first taught the alphabet then taught to read them in groups - a word. However we're not encouraged to "expand" to read more than one word at a time when going the further step wouldn't be as hard as it would be now that we're used to reading single words.
  14. Going through a Narutard phase. Maybe I'll change my av too. I prefer darker, or at least non-blinding white walls. I get enough radioactive glow-tan from worksheets already.
  15. I'd take the interest people are showing as postive encouragement. Personally I'm not uninstalling Kotor2 from my PC just yet
  16. Help the dude?
  17. So far NWN2 and maybe the new Age of Empires.
  18. That's true. Some kinda role call where they introduce themselves and what they're doing would be cool.
  19. ^That shows that there's some hidden non-verbal body language communications that men have developed.
  20. Glad they're out. I watched a WW2 German u-boat movie and it wasn't fun because I'm claustrophobic.
  21. I'm glad my wife isn't home. I was guffawing over this one. Yeah, it's true. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I suppose there's a threshold where you want to encourage them to talk and they go off the deep end.
  22. Whoops. Fixed.
  23. LONDON (AFP) - Men who are accused of never listening by women now have an excuse -- women's voices are more difficult for men to listen to than other men's, a report said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/britainscience...HBhBHNlYwM5NjQ- Discuss.
  24. I only know that Monday has a kickass 2 hour programming slot from 7.30pm. It kicks off with an hour of Mythbusters followed by South Park and the Schapelle Show.
  25. Think of a (realistic) souvenir from a place which is not obvious but representative of it nevertheless. For example I'd want a cowboy hat (black with silver like Carrie's on Mythbusters) if I visited Texas. I'd get a wind chime and a wooden rice-digger spoon from Japan.
