  1. I found a fix to the load thing by simply turning everything down to ugly mode, I have enough texture memory and the game runs fine, but without the extra texture data loading every time you make an area transition I can actually load a game in under a minuite. I made it to the final standoff and was off to fight the King of shadows when the game presented me with the first CDT and whats worse, during a cutscene, just wonderful. I suppose it could be to do with the setting changes I made, but i'm not hopeful.
  2. Yup, they did something based on Dragonlance as well. With a lot better loadtimes too. It ain't MUD, as they called it back then, tho.
  3. doesen't this stuff happen every year ?
  4. It worked, although I have shelfed the game again, no patience for 5 minuite loadtimes anymore. I found myself just playing on trying to reach an autosave because even the quicksave is an extremely lengthy affair. So I basically died with no saves anywhere near my progress point.
  5. It depends I guess, old fart vs 14 year old = pedophile. 14 year-old vs 14 year-old = hardly something to be thrown in jail over.
  6. I thought those were just spares from using scribe scroll, I'll check that out.
  7. I appears I have been thwarted by the game again, neither Amon Gerro or Ziere recite the true names in the second encounter with the invounerable liches, any suggestions on that one or is my game screwed now. I have tried fiddling around with the AI, trying to stop them from rushing into battle, but it did nothing. They have lines where they ask to hold them at bay while they recite, but nothing actually happens. Invounerable enemies is such a poor idea, especially if you can't even run from them. Can I use the console to kill them ?
  8. Only the rarest of threads attain litchdom. Finally killing them would entail severing their limbs and burning them at a crossroads on a harvest moon.
  9. A sucker borne every day, no offence. Don't ever buy without searching for the best offer, and be wary of bogus price comparison sites too. You should pay somewhere between 5000-7000 SEK for a good quality bike, and honestly, whats the point of a top tuned lady's bike, you sit down on those, can't push the speed by a standing position. If it ain't gonna go fast why pay for formula 1 breaks
  10. He said hipocritical, meta, which I guess means he was talking about someone who judges horses too harshly. Good one
  11. I don't get it. How can the batteries cause harm to the environment if they are charged by fuel derived mostly from plants. How alternative fuel is driving up the cost of corn and grain alike is a lot more worrysome, if you happen to live somewhere poor where you import your food. Farmers won't be producing base food items at a low profit margin, when they can supply ethanol plants instead.
  12. Well global warming has always been contested, only over the past decades the evidence of ozone depletion and water levels rising has been steadily acumulating. It's pretty obvious whats going on, as evidenced by a now very strong consensus among the scientific comunity that the phenomenon is real.
  13. I think the idea is there will be more storms and more floods. Crops should improve rather than decline though.
  14. Waiters have always been supposed to declare their tips for taxation, administrating and investigating breaches is simply not feasible from an administrative viewpoint, same deal for the regular joes with their MMOG munchkin gear and 'realestate'. Taxation is more geared towards the MMOG milionares and gold buying services.
  15. Gold Farmer sweatshops are pretty close, to be honest. If you live in Shrilanka it's a dream job.
  16. That does not compute, unless 'strength and value' does not equate with a rubel for rubel comparison.
  17. These MMOG economies always detract from the gaming experience, unless you made a game about online economies, that would be kinda like fantasy mimicing reality and biting it's own tail.
  18. It has always been easier to unite against a common percieved enemy than getting along with oneanother.
  19. Why would you have a conference on the historical validity of the holocaust, unless you're retarded that is.
  20. I believe the definition of terrorist is someone who kills random civilians specifically for effect, a tactic that has yet to prove a winner in any example I can think of. Not that I think the Iranian infiltrators burdened by moral consideratins.
  21. I would like to add that although questioning sources is always prudent, you can get bogged down to the point that the discussion becomes about something else entirely.Threads become about how BBC and CNN are left wing and Fox rigth wing. It's a distraction. You have to at least consider the validity of anything reported by a global news source or else be prepared to disprove it.
  22. The withdrawal of Israli forces from Lebanon caused a massacre by local christian militia, this is estanblished fact, the actions of Israli forces within palestinean refugee camps however don't have any reliable second sources, they have unquestionably been heavy handed, but massacres of so and so many thousands of people has just not been reported by sources with some minimum of journalistic integrity.
  23. This would be so easy if there was an actual democratic tradition in the palestinean governance. We would have sanctions against Israel and international condemnation, unfortunately there is so much sectarianism and support of suicide bombings that we are pretty ****ing far from Ghandi territory here. There is no viable partner for Israel to negotiate with, maybe that was the plan all along in isolating and cutting them off from trade and any sense of progress for so long, who knows. No real sense that things are going to get better any time soon, just more of the same.
  24. Still, it's interesting that there would be a jewish minority who perfer to live in Iran over Israel. Maybe the day to day goings on in Iran haven't got as much to do with politics or prejudice as we think. I guess it's like living in China, as long as you don't voice any strong opinions the government will leave you alone.
  25. Incidentially, there was some point where you could get rid of party members you didn't like right. I made my way to neverwinter, how long untill i can ditch the party ?
