I thought it was alright. The flashbacks ruined the continuety a bit for me and I found it more annoying than intriguing, and of course there is the feature of any TV show to go on so long; the more you watch the less sense the plot makes.

I thought Deus Ex 2 was awful, mostly engine and gameplay trouble though. Hopefully an experienced studio can do a lot better.

I bought the new installment of Ghost Recon on the strength of their past games, god that was awful. I have no cause to think anything other than that they will slaughter Rainbow six as well. Thats not much better in MoTB, there are so many spells at those levels that the bottom bar is useless, it's annoying to hav e to flip through 4 or 5 bars as well, so you are pretty much stuck with the quickcast, which is fine once you get used to having yet another bar cluttering up the HUD.

NWN oc is pretty terrible imho, still I played all the addons so it must have done something right.

NWN1 Has a zoom lock, you can only go so far in, and many of the areas are simply much larger meaning less of the scitzoid cam when it gets cramped, e.i. focusing on a left middle toe in combat.

The UFO phenomina is a misnomer. Of course there are things you see in the sky that you can't immediately explain, why would'nt there be. As for whether aliens have been scouting human society since the 50s, or a pervailing urban myth has simply taken on a life of it's own, I lean toward the latter.

In Mask os the Betrayer there is this dungeon called Because of the way the camera works you can't see where you are going at all, You basically either grope your way around or use the area map and walk around with the little arrows. After I had cleared the place out and solved a few quests a new way opened enabling me to continue, I walked around aimlessly for 30 mins looking for the set of stairs that would lead me out. The area map was useless because it didn't show stairs, and the camera is so unwieldy you can't see whats in a room unless you battle the camera focus and happen to get lucky, letting it show you what you want to see. The smaller the space, the worse the camera acts. It's quite simply horrible, It has been ever since NWN2 first came out. Some attempts were made to reign it in, but none of them solved the core problem.

A gun is just a tool. By itself it cn't harm anyone. People kill people. Guns are just a tool they use. They could have easily use a car, a knife, a heavy blunt object, kitchen chemicals, and so forth and so on. The age old NRA mantra. Anyhow, the guns are important because this is an act inspired by media coverage of school shootings. Not to suggest that guns are more important than the reasons he acted like he did, but again, a bomb would probably not have been the same, bombers are tactical and dispassionate, they plan on not getting caught. I don't recall any instance of a student using bombs against his shool, well aside from the millions of bomb scares conveniently centered around the exam season.
