By the way, I have these essences that the description says I can enchant using a 'mold sprit ability'. I haven't actually got something with such an ability though, and the stores are fresh out as well. I'm playing throught the game for the first time, and, well, it's not terrible. I still don't like the camera though, and there seems to be a lot of rubberbanding going on when you run past the meatshields to engage the casters in mele. The npc interaction box is a bit dull, and on occasion I have found myself just reading my own questions rather than siving through lengthy uninspiring dialouge, but the game surprises you with quality touches enough to keep it interesting.

We have a cuisine now, thats certainly new.

Hmm, I think generally a lot of the 'evil' dialouge options are illogical, I usually can't get myself to select them. How long does it take before you gain that ability assuming you start out with an evil character ?
-
The spirit meter is a nuisance. No one likes plot devices that hamstring gameplay. At the very least you should have been able to feed on anyone's spirit, not just the blue glowy things you desperatelt run around trying to find. Maybe not in agreement with the premise of the plot, but, who cares. The special abilities associated with the curse aren't fun to use either, if you play as a caster you can just ignore the meter and use the satiate ability once in a while, you will hardly know the difference, but a mele character is seriously hampered by a forced plot device. That is a really stupid idea. And consider the way it was introduced, here's 6 pages of special rules and abilities regarding your curse and something else to clog up your HUD. I bet a lot of people where underwhelmed. Would have been a better idea to introduce in stages, as the curse strengtened.

It's comforting to live somewhere with no earthquakes, no wildfires, and no insects that can kill you. And maybe a little boring as well.

Atari announces Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate

Well I finised the game, and I usually used the enchanced mininmap to move around to avoid seizures. In NWN I think they had anticipated those problems and compensated by simply making areas a tad larger and limiting the zoom level as well, so you wouldn't end up staring through your characters skin at their teeth and eyebrows dangling in the air. The Cameras have been tamed some, but not enough, it's such a basic function that it has to be right. The loadtimes depend according to computer of course, but, with textures on high a quicksave takes three times as long as an average game's normal save, this is on a mid range system. -
Unreal 1 had a singleplayer mode nobody usedl. They made a seperate Unreal tourney 2 single player game as well, It's horrible.

The camera controls and the horrinble loadtimes. -
All the previous UT engine installments have been some of the most sleek and scalable anywhere, I hope this continues. They have been at this for what, 4 years, ought to be good. I played all the UT games at length, both LAN and online, maybe this is the excuse i need to fork out for a new comp. Don\t hold out any hopes for the story, just for a good competative FPS.

Im not getting anything else with the NWN2 engine. -
Seems like this game is a pain in the @#$... It kinda worries me... I haven't bought it yet, but I hope they will have most bugs fixed when I decide to do so... Sounds to me he is using a sub-standard system. NWN2 plays fine on any average or better system. My save times are ~5-8 secs Load times ~10-15 secs My system is not anything bleeding edge: AMD64 x2 4200+ 512meg DDR2 x2 dual channel 80gig SATA x2 RAID0 7600GT 256meg video Win XP Save and load times shouldn't be affected by anything other than HDD and system ram, since the HDD is obviously the bottleneck anyway. I have the same card with double the ram, and 1 gig system ram. I think 2 is recommended. regardless 15 secs is way too long as well. I may have embelished time spent staring at load bars for effect.
-
I found a fix to the load thing by simply turning everything down to ugly mode, I have enough texture memory and the game runs fine, but without the extra texture data loading every time you make an area transition I can actually load a game in under a minuite. I made it to the final standoff and was off to fight the King of shadows when the game presented me with the first CDT and whats worse, during a cutscene, just wonderful. I suppose it could be to do with the setting changes I made, but i'm not hopeful.
-
Yup, they did something based on Dragonlance as well. With a lot better loadtimes too. It ain't MUD, as they called it back then, tho.
-
doesen't this stuff happen every year ?
-
It worked, although I have shelfed the game again, no patience for 5 minuite loadtimes anymore. I found myself just playing on trying to reach an autosave because even the quicksave is an extremely lengthy affair. So I basically died with no saves anywhere near my progress point.

It depends I guess, old fart vs 14 year old = pedophile. 14 year-old vs 14 year-old = hardly something to be thrown in jail over.

I thought those were just spares from using scribe scroll, I'll check that out.

I appears I have been thwarted by the game again, neither Amon Gerro or Ziere recite the true names in the second encounter with the invounerable liches, any suggestions on that one or is my game screwed now. I have tried fiddling around with the AI, trying to stop them from rushing into battle, but it did nothing. They have lines where they ask to hold them at bay while they recite, but nothing actually happens. Invounerable enemies is such a poor idea, especially if you can't even run from them. Can I use the console to kill them ?
-
Only the rarest of threads attain litchdom. Finally killing them would entail severing their limbs and burning them at a crossroads on a harvest moon.

A sucker borne every day, no offence. Don't ever buy without searching for the best offer, and be wary of bogus price comparison sites too. You should pay somewhere between 5000-7000 SEK for a good quality bike, and honestly, whats the point of a top tuned lady's bike, you sit down on those, can't push the speed by a standing position. If it ain't gonna go fast why pay for formula 1 breaks

He said hipocritical, meta, which I guess means he was talking about someone who judges horses too harshly. Good one

I don't get it. How can the batteries cause harm to the environment if they are charged by fuel derived mostly from plants. How alternative fuel is driving up the cost of corn and grain alike is a lot more worrysome, if you happen to live somewhere poor where you import your food. Farmers won't be producing base food items at a low profit margin, when they can supply ethanol plants instead.

Well global warming has always been contested, only over the past decades the evidence of ozone depletion and water levels rising has been steadily acumulating. It's pretty obvious whats going on, as evidenced by a now very strong consensus among the scientific comunity that the phenomenon is real.

I think the idea is there will be more storms and more floods. Crops should improve rather than decline though.

Waiters have always been supposed to declare their tips for taxation, administrating and investigating breaches is simply not feasible from an administrative viewpoint, same deal for the regular joes with their MMOG munchkin gear and 'realestate'. Taxation is more geared towards the MMOG milionares and gold buying services.
