  1. Strange, to me combat and atmosphere are head and shoulders above any IE game, even the soundtrack is up there. Though IWD2 was my first IE game so our impressions may differ there.
  2. I changed money without issues.
  3. Good game against Greece, nice clean win. On to play against Brazil or Argentina. Good shot at winning against them if we keep our late game solid.
  4. That still doesn't explain how you connected having fun in a game with policing one self. I think you got lost in your own words.
  5. I have no idea how you think that anything I said is supporting your argument.
  6. What was stupid about your statement is that you think that the player will police him self to enjoy the game. He will either play the game how he likes it and it will be fun for him, or he will drop it as soon as he realizes that it's boring to him.
  7. Yeah, but you will find that discussions devolve as soon as people start attacking those who have something negative to say about the game. In fact, I bet that if you counted bad post, it would mostly be those people who are defending the game from negative comments.
  8. I hope you realize how stupid that sounds.
  9. Monte what books did you publish?

From their point of view it's probably, "are the American people that stupid".
  11. As I said, it's all in how you perceive it.
  12. That's a pretty big statement there.
  13. English is not my native language and I read it as fast as my native language (because I mostly read stuff in English).
  14. That is simply not happening, 90% of the people are offering constructive criticism. There are people who like to call out Josh, but never to call him stupid (which he is obviously not), only stubborn and sometimes arrogant. The bigger problem here is your perception of the criticism and people attacking people who have something negative to say.
  15. You are missing the point.
  16. I specifically said trash fights, maybe I should have bolded it.
  17. Well if they were tough they certainly didn't play the same way as in PoE. So it's pretty much down to picking you poison. Though I personally believe that trash fights in BG2 were easier then the ones in PoE.
  18. 1 to 2 weeks from the current one, or that is their plan at least.
  19. Crafting should be like it was in BG2. Hunting down pieces and forging them in to a whole. That was great and it served as a money sink.
  20. Did they not take inspiration from MMOs to appeal to the younger audience?
  21. My condolences.
  22. I just don't see it. I know what it is supposed to do, but it just seems bad to me. I don't think it's a balancing issue either.
  23. Heh, if I knew how to do this I would have been a game designer, but here goes nothing: In order of importance -Combat pacing, trash fights should be trash fights. You should not be required to micro manage so much for them(at all for a matter of fact). It will get tiring fast. -Scrap stamina, bring back healing. -Better AI. -More contrast between characters and the background. -IWD2 inventory. -Attributes need to have much larger impact on the game. -Change the xp system to something that is more finely distributed. Preferably go back to the IE system. -Dial back the numbers on everything. Values should be in the range of the IE games (health, damage, armor, will, etc.) -More ambient sounds This is all I can think off now.
  24. Not a theory but an opinion, my proof are Josh's own post.
  25. @nipsen This is simply not such a game, your druid will have to fight. He will even kill creatures of the forest.
