Basketball World Cup
I'm saving that for the Spaniards, if we can by some miracle get past them we have a better chance against the US.

Basketball World Cup
So Brazil it is. Well let's hope that this time we don't fall apart at the end.

Was the backer beta a good idea?
Ok let's get something clear straight of the bat. First, it's not us that should be grateful, it's OE. This is after all a KSed game, and it's thanks to the fans that they got to make it. Second, being open on how they are making the game is something they stated would happen in their first video on KS. Third, aside from updates which are nice we haven't seen much comments from Josh at all, now this would normally be ok IF he didn't comment so much on other forums and social media sites. We don't have to be privy to the dev discussions to know if something works or not. We know what the end goal is, "a spiritual successor to the IE games" and thus we can comment on what is wrong and why it's not meeting that goal. As for the degenerative gameplay, it most certainly does not deserve praise and respect. As it stand everything that was done to prevent such gameplay, has caused even more of it by being changed. Things obviously don't work and should be tweaked or changed. We would be doing a great disservice to the game, ourselves and OE if we didn't point out the bad aspects of the game.

Second impressions thread! [Build 278 version]
Strange, to me combat and atmosphere are head and shoulders above any IE game, even the soundtrack is up there. Though IWD2 was my first IE game so our impressions may differ there.

Basketball World Cup
Good game against Greece, nice clean win. On to play against Brazil or Argentina. Good shot at winning against them if we keep our late game solid.

Ukraine discussion
From their point of view it's probably, "are the American people that stupid".

Sensuki appreciation thread
English is not my native language and I read it as fast as my native language (because I mostly read stuff in English).

Was the backer beta a good idea?
That is simply not happening, 90% of the people are offering constructive criticism. There are people who like to call out Josh, but never to call him stupid (which he is obviously not), only stubborn and sometimes arrogant. The bigger problem here is your perception of the criticism and people attacking people who have something negative to say.

On Healing: a New Idea
You are missing the point.

On Healing: a New Idea
I specifically said trash fights, maybe I should have bolded it.

On Healing: a New Idea
Well if they were tough they certainly didn't play the same way as in PoE. So it's pretty much down to picking you poison. Though I personally believe that trash fights in BG2 were easier then the ones in PoE.

List necessities you think would fix the game in broad strokes
Crafting should be like it was in BG2. Hunting down pieces and forging them in to a whole. That was great and it served as a money sink.

Josh Sawyer on the "naked ranged characters" issue
Did they not take inspiration from MMOs to appeal to the younger audience?
