  1. I think you overestimate the people's willingness to fight. Ukraine is having major issues filling out their ranks and are facing mass desertions and draft dodgers, to the point where people are being kidnapped from the streets in broad daylight. I think that a regular Ukrainian wants this war to be finished much more than a regular Russian. I am not saying that things are peachy in Russia, it's just that Ukraine is much worse off. I'll go back to the example of Croatia, the remaining Serbian population did not produce any trouble and overall they just integrated and hid their origin. The only issue I see for Russia, in case of a victory, is integrating Odessa and Transnistria.
  2. But what would they occupy exactly? The local population would not be against Russian rule as most of the territory they are after is or would be Russian speaking. I don't see the comparison between Afghanistan and Ukraine there at all. They would do what Croatia did in the 90s, a mass exodus of undesirable people and just ethnically cleanse the new territories. The rest of Ukraine would have lost at that point and be without a military organization.
  3. We can also see what is happening in Iran. War is hard...
  4. I've learned to accept myself. Some things I'm good at and some things I'm bad at. The social aspect of life is not my forte, but I never let that stop me. It's just that I kind of find it exhausting. It's always fun when I'm there, but it always hard especially when your brain starts to analyze everything after. Relationships need work and I do not put in the effort. I always hope to find someone who will either make it feel like it's not work, or at least someone who will make it easy to put in the work. End of the day I need to start looking, if for nothing else but to see that there is nothing out there for me. I've seen enough bad examples where people make a family just for the sake of it, to not make the same mistake myself.
  5. Makes me envious tbh, I never had that connection with anyone, I kind of went in to a relationship just to be in one and looking back that was a mistake. It wasn't fair to the other person and it kind of put me off from being in one after it. I matured very late mentally, so socially I was always a few years behind my peers and I understood that much latter in life. I always had trouble adapting and never understood when someone was interested in me. Even for that first relationship someone had to spell it out for me and push me towards it. What I'm trying to say is that I never met that someone who would elicit a change in me and that seems like it would be nice. Then again I am not unhappy in life, but I guess the fear is that later on I would be...
  6. Hey, at least you experienced that kind of affection. I would say it's worth it, but then again I'm not qualified. Has the anti-bot check gotten worse for you folks or is it just me? Feels like it's the worst it's been.
  7. Living dangerously. Sister went to Riga to attend the Pitbull concert, kept giving her updates on the front. The concert got cancelled and now she is stuck there sightseeing Riga, they said the stage couldn't be secured in time whatever that meant... @Raithe good luck. When I was looking for a place I looked at dumps with a good layout, figured I would renovate it either way so why pay extra.
  8. Ah, sarcasm and me can be hit and miss.
  9. They have shown multiple times that they are not just a defensive alliance. That they hide it under different names is just bs... Do you think the EU would let Ukraine lose if Iran escalates and sends troops? Europe worst fear is that Russia exits this conflict intact, either politically or economically. They know that the first thing Russia will do is arm EU's enemies.
  10. Here's hoping.
  11. How so? If Iran retaliates and NATO responds, how can Russia stop that? At that point it's anyone's game.
  12. Idk if Ukraine is getting extremely ****y or extremely desperate, but they are on their way to trigger another world war.
  13. Blade Runner looks so bad... I was really looking forward to it, but after that trailer my expectations are down.
  14. Obsession. Well that was kind of a waste of bandwidth...
  15. @SChin is it just me or have you guys increased the frequency for bot checking?
  16. I installed a firmware update for my Samsung 9100 pro drive aaaaaaand I broke it. The funny thing is that I read about some people having issues and decided to wait a day thinking they will for sure pull the update if it breaks stuff. Long story short I cannot boot from it nor can Windows detected it, unless you install Windows on a different drive and on the first boot up after it finishes Windows will see it. The issue with that is that if you restart you PC it will not show up again, unless you repeat the whole install Windows process. At least I have a way to install a new firmware update if they ever release a fix. Oh yeah and I figured out that I cannot boot anything new (example being new windows install) unless I disable secureboot... Seems like I may not have been as successful as I thought I was with the above...
  17. @uuuhhii just change www.reddit.com to old.reddit.com and it will allow you to skip the verification. Unless they added something new...
  18. Did it ever leave?
  19. The gameplay revolves around water level manipulation and it's nowhere near enough to make it the point of the game. Oh yeah, stacking is a big thing and optimizing the stacking of buildings. Maybe I'm being unfair and there is something more, but either way it didn't grab me.
  20. I can tell you that Timberborn is not worth the money they ask for it. Overall a meh game.
  21. That only works if someone is willing to pay the higher price and at this point I don't think they have any leverage for it. Guess time will tell.
  22. The Owlcat situation has less to do with Paizo's issues and more to do with them moving to more commercial brands. I don't see why Paizo wouldn't sell a license even if they are in trouble, that's literally just more income for them.
  23. Ixion. This game is good despite its gameplay. The game has negative QoL mechanics, it's like they tried to make the game difficult by making the gameplay obnoxious. The simplest example being cargo ships which will go pick up a resource from a pile and if that pile has 1 unit of resource it will pick it up and go back to base to deliver it, instead of first filling its cargo limit from another pile before going back. But wait it's even worse than that. If another ship picks up that 1 unit that remains in the pile and a second ship was also going to that same pile, the second ship will visit the empty pile, not pick anything up because there is nothing there, and then return to base with nothing before going to the next resource pile. That is just one example out of many, but even taking that in to account the game is very addicting and fun to play. It's just that it could have been that much better...
