The TV and Streaming Thread: Enough episodes for syndication
One Battle After Another (2025). Suppose it's a metaphor for today's America, or at least what they wanted it to be. That being said, it's a great movie.

The new comedy special by Dave Chappelle. I sat through it, it was interesting enough, but I maybe chuckled 2 times. Probably his worst one to date. I think fame has really done a number on his material. This will probably be the last thing I watch from him.

What a a horrific crash. One can hope he died instantly, but considering that the passenger died in the hospital, it's less likely.- Ukraine Conflict - war continues on
With that amount of money they can get AI to fight the war now... I'm not sure what exactly that 90b is supposed to change. No one in Europe is willing to part with more of their arsenal without replacing it and money can't buy manpower. Realistically that money ensures that the Ukraine doesn't collapse due to lack of ammunition but even that is capped by production.- What are you Playing Now? The issue is on my end, something changed in my build that is not letting some apps write files even when ran as admin. That is why I said it's cursed. I have a portable ssd with windows 11 and that is what I use to play games. Waiting on my new m2 drive to arrive and then I'll reinstall windows.- Obituary thread
Greg Biffle (NASCAR driver) and his whole family lost their lives in a plane crash. Only reason I know of him is through a youtuber Cleetus Mcfarland.- What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle

I don't count everything under one umbrella as they do. I was thinking of ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini. Image and Video generation is a separate thing in my head. But that would essentially put the game on rails. You have this amount of time and you need to do it by then. Anything that obviously forces a player to play the game a certain way is bad, at least from my point of view. You should, of course, guide the player to what you think the gameplay is, but it should not be forceful or easily spotted and worst of all you shouldn't correct it after the fact, especially if the players enjoy it and it doesn't damage the intended gameplay route. I think there needs to be some suspension of disbelief, overall that dissonance between the story and gameplay in such a complex and nonlinear game is to be expected. If you start picking it apart you will find a lot of examples of said dissonance. At the end of the day, when creating a game you should pray at the altar of Fun, not Balance, Harmony or Realism. Those should always be means to and end, which is FUN gameplay. Were that to be done in such a large game with so much side content, I would think that it was the developers way of forcing the player to reply their game if he wants to experience all the content and that would just be a very negative feeling.- Random video game news... video random news game
Tbh, I couldn't even do a regular second playthrough of WotR, I think I dropped it half way through. Although my issue is that I can't help myself but do all the side content and that is very draining when you have already done it once before. But to be fair this is not a rare occurrence for me, there are only a handful of games I replayed, Baldur's Gate 2 being one of them that I can remember of the top of my head. They should be very careful with that. BG3's world building is supported by D&D and its external media. While I love world building, cramming it in one game is very risky. PoE is a great example where the sheer amount of text dumps stunned the players in to a state of not caring. The only game of that format where I saw it work, and I say work very loosely, is Disco Elysium.- Random video game news... video random news game

Haven't seen the novel, but they have a nod to Arnold via his picture being shown on some wall. The movie does try to have a bit of a retro feel.- The TV and Streaming Thread: That's Entertainment!

Not only that, but he was **** talking the Thunder players most of the game.
