I installed a firmware update for my Samsung 9100 pro drive aaaaaaand I broke it. The funny thing is that I read about some people having issues and decided to wait a day thinking they will for sure pull the update if it breaks stuff. Long story short I cannot boot from it nor can Windows detected it, unless you install Windows on a different drive and on the first boot up after it finishes Windows will see it. The issue with that is that if you restart you PC it will not show up again, unless you repeat the whole install Windows process. At least I have a way to install a new firmware update if they ever release a fix. Oh yeah and I figured out that I cannot boot anything new (example being new windows install) unless I disable secureboot... Seems like I may not have been as successful as I thought I was with the above...

@uuuhhii just change www.reddit.com to old.reddit.com and it will allow you to skip the verification. Unless they added something new...

The gameplay revolves around water level manipulation and it's nowhere near enough to make it the point of the game. Oh yeah, stacking is a big thing and optimizing the stacking of buildings. Maybe I'm being unfair and there is something more, but either way it didn't grab me.

I can tell you that Timberborn is not worth the money they ask for it. Overall a meh game.

That only works if someone is willing to pay the higher price and at this point I don't think they have any leverage for it. Guess time will tell.

The Owlcat situation has less to do with Paizo's issues and more to do with them moving to more commercial brands. I don't see why Paizo wouldn't sell a license even if they are in trouble, that's literally just more income for them.

Ixion. This game is good despite its gameplay. The game has negative QoL mechanics, it's like they tried to make the game difficult by making the gameplay obnoxious. The simplest example being cargo ships which will go pick up a resource from a pile and if that pile has 1 unit of resource it will pick it up and go back to base to deliver it, instead of first filling its cargo limit from another pile before going back. But wait it's even worse than that. If another ship picks up that 1 unit that remains in the pile and a second ship was also going to that same pile, the second ship will visit the empty pile, not pick anything up because there is nothing there, and then return to base with nothing before going to the next resource pile. That is just one example out of many, but even taking that in to account the game is very addicting and fun to play. It's just that it could have been that much better...

Damn, this one felt unfinished in terms of art. edit: looks better with the evil genius scanalation, but it's still not at the original level.

I keep imagining God Emperor of Dune in movie form and it keeps bringing a smile to my face.

The author told his best friend how the rest of the story goes and now he is helping to finish it. I would say it's good, although you can feel the difference.

Yeah, the session time-out is much longer right now, instead of 1 hour. It resets when you close the browser, but I guess that is to be expected. Idk, why this forum is so affected by bots, or maybe the others have a more seamless solution. Why does the bot check need to be done at all for users that are logged in, can't you just do this for unregistered users?

The bigger issue is that somehow the gaming industry is supposed to turn an enormous profit margin. Whichever company has profit as their goal, instead of making a good game, deserves to fail. As far as I am concerned the whole industry can fail, passionate people will still try to make games, thus games will always be made, probably even better games.

I hate when I buy something on steam and I forget to check if it's on gog. Guess now I found out how Steam refunds work...

I'm not sure how detailed the explanation for the ending they got is, so I'm thinking they will not take much liberty with coming up with their own story. They changed the spoiler tag, now you need to put in the title and then put the body of the spoiler under the line. Possible ending

I don't think there are going to be anymore curve balls in the story. They will probably condense all the fights before Griffith in to one longish one. Do you think the God Hands make a significant appearance before the end?

The issue is how aggressive the checks are. I would understand if it was per browser session or something, but it was happening hourly.

The second one is still in early access so that's probably why. I'm in the same boat, I like these kind of games nowadays, but I have yet to try it.

It's definitely better than it was.
