I went with the 970 personally, the performance difference just wasn't there when compared to the price you needed to shell out for the 980. The only thing that I liked about the 980 is that it comes with 3 display ports vs. the one on the 970.

Remembered the Raven's Shadow series, lo and behold the third book came out (seems it's the last one). To be honest I had to look up the summaries to remember what the books were about, but I still have trouble remembering most of the stuff. I would recommend Judo as there is much more sparing involved, thus more practical training. That was my experience at least, in punching sports people tend to hurt each other when they spar so it's avoided or at least not done with full force, where as in Judo you always give it your all (either in a clinch or on the ground).

I don't know if America is the best at producing anything physical, even good at it. I don't really get why you think "Made in USA" equals good quality, especially nowadays.
