Well I'll update on this just as a warning to you guys, I returned the monitor back for my cash a while ago and have since done research on the net. What I found out was that most of LGs IPS panels have this issue (couldn't confirm for the curved panels), but it seems that either most people don't notice it, or it doesn't happen on every panel produced (in which case I got VERY unlucky). Even the top of the line 31MU97Z-B monitor has this issue reported. What I planed to do was get the newest ultrawide panel in the form of LG 34UM88 in hopes that the issue has been rectified but for some reason only that model of the monitor has not been imported (maybe because I returned so many ). What I'm considering now is either Asus PG348Q (curved ultrawide) which also has an LG panel, or the Asus PG279Q which has the AU Optronic panel, but I really came to like the ultra wide format and I kind of don't want the curved panel as I feel it's a gimmick, so I'm currently stuck. Another option is to wait for the new panels from LG, but that is ways off from being sold in a form of a finished product (well not way off but end of 2017 probably). Well there you have it, if you are in the market for a ultrawide monitor be warned, pretty much all of them have LG's panels with the exception of the Samsung models.

Should the UK leave the EU?
Let's hope that Spain, Austria, Italy and Greece follow suit.

Considering that DDR4 has high latency, I would think so. Those 64gb would only be more useful in a situation where you would need more then 16/32gb of ram for an application. But hey you can always make a RAM disk.- Agiel's all things military
During the Vietnam war the Russian jets shat on the US counterparts and from what I'm seeing of the next gen jets the US have shown... well it's nothing to brag about. Also considering that a couple of the "invisible" planes (some completely and some crippled beyond repair) were shot down with a prehistoric anti-aircraft weapons during the bombing of Yugoslavia, I would be more worried about the Russian S-400 and the coming S-500. 3 points to anyone who can tell me what plane this is. Hmm, I would think that the MB is faulty then, sounds to me like it's slowly dying. Could be that the north bridge on the mobo is faulty.- PC problems, need advice

I'm almost sorry I gave that video a view...wth was that?- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Did I miss some announcement?- Nvidia Pascal to launch in June
Wth is a founder's edition? edit: ah nvm...it's just a "fancy" cooler...- Nvidia Pascal to launch in June
I don't know if I should wait for the 1080Ti or just get the 1080. I'll probably just wait for the 1080Ti before getting anything to get the full picture.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Whaaaaaat?!? When was this announced?- Dawn of War III

Person of interest started again, I wanted to catch an episode to see if it had improved any, but alas, same old same old...plus a supercomputer made from PS3's...- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Nah, I think you're really stretching it. As long as they don't completely go back to DW1 I'm happy.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
The issue with DW1 was that it brought nothing new to the genre and apart from the setting and story it was pretty bland gameplay wise (it was just a standard rts), where as DW2 was very unique and memorable.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Thanks. So it's a return to WH1. Well I don't mind I liked them both, although I do hope that they keep the heroes gameplay from WH2, or at least have missions that are like that.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
So how long until the gameplay trailer?- Movies You've Seen Recently Thread
And I agree, as I said the acting was fine, I even think that the script was serviceable, but the action was just not there. Nothing got me exited in the movie. Movie needs a different director.- Movies You've Seen Recently Thread
Saw Batman vs Superman. I don't know, Batman kind of left me underwhelmed. It's not that the acting was not doing it for me, but everything Batman did left me...well...underwhelmed... The whole movie lacked that wow factor. I think that if you took the action sequences from the Marvel movies and put them to use with the DC characters you would have gotten a great movie.- What's on the idiot box?
Ugh, I really think they won't do it justice with a TV series. The thing is even if they gut the books to the core, which would really suck, they would still need a crap load, budget wise, after book 3. I think an animated series (preferably 2d) would be the way to go, but then there isn't much money to be made there. As for movies, I couldn't imagine them getting a budget for that. I don't know, I'm not holding my breath for this one, even though I'm a major fan of the WoT series.- RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
Well not half, but at least the first part.- Build Thread 2.0
I sent my monitor to service again, for the same issue. It seems these panels have issues with bright spots appearing, among other things... Anyways, I'm going to return it after they confirm the issue and swap it for a 34UC88 (curved), or if I can get a confirmation from the seller that they will getting it, the 34UM88 model (flat). Both have Free Sync which I won't be using unless I switch to AMD, but the flat model has a 75HZ refresh rate, on the other hand if the 34UM88 has the same panel as the 34UM95 (the one I currently own) I'll be running the risk of the bright spot appearing again. I had no luck finding out the ID of the panel of the new model. edit: Seems both the 34um88 and the 34uc88 are 60Hz default and 75Hz with freesync enabled. - POST YOUR SPECS
