I have a couple of stash spots. The house directly across from the General Store in Goodsprings (thanks Maria Caliban), the hotel room in Novac and of course ED-E, my self propelled suitcase.

Finally rolled into Nipton and did a couple of the quests but I think I screwed a couple up too. For some reason, when I went in the room in REPCONN that was supposed to have the Stealthboys, the ghoul on the upper floor that I had just accepted a quest from went hostile and I had to blow his head off with the cowboy repeater. Guess he doesnt need me to find his girlfriend any more. Also, went to the junk yard as part of the REPCONN quest and ED-E's optional quest fired up and he played a recorded message. After that, nothing. The quest is still flaged as open in my Pip-Boy so Im not really sure what went wrong or what Im supposed to do next for him. One last thing is I cant figure out who to lure into Boone's sights. The quest marker shows a bunch of possibilities inside Nipton but none of the people have given me an option in conversation that would complete the quests. I dont think this is broken, I just havent figured it out yet.

How/when are these patches downloaded? I ask because theres been what, two patches already, and Ive never seen my Steam or FO game actually downloading and installing anything. Ive never seen a patch download screen like mkreku linked so Im not sure anythings been patched. I tried looking in my Library and didnt see anything obviously asking me to "update" or anything like that so does it just do it in the background?

Wait, did I misread? I thought it said tax increases and spending cuts? I was referring to the "Bush era tax cuts" that are currently due to expire and are being considered for extension. My bad, Gftd called it a UHC and I kept saying it. I guess we can just call it Obama's Health Care plan. Whats the difference? Serious question.

*riots* So it will only cost $930 Billion? Whew. Seriously though, it would be great if it all worked like it does on paper but you and I both know thats not how our government operates. I wouldnt be at all surprised to see the UHC wildly overbudget in under five years. This has the serious potential to bankrupt the US. Well, maybe it would be better to say it will greatly accelerate our inevitable bankruptcy. I cant fathom how they are talking about tax CUTS. We should be increasing them if anything, in conjunction with drastically decreased government spending. They are counting on that.

No sweat, we'll just "tax the rich" to cover this. Oh, and the TRILLION dollar UHC.

Heh, after my first knee surgery, which I was gassed for, I was a vomit machine. I threw up in the recovery room, I threw up out the car window on the way home and I threw up in my front lawn while entering my house. For my second knee surgery I opted for a "spinal" (the same shot they give to a woman delivering a baby) and I was fine.

But WUE was referring to bosses. Iirc, in BG2 bosses were immune to insta-death mechanics. Gah, its been too long to remember. Was it possible to one-hit-kill Bhodi with the Mace of Disruption for example?

I think I know this answer. It didnt melt everything because it is contained within a magnetic field, much like the prototype fusion reactor do.

Im constantly on the ragged edge of encumbrance too and like you constantly have to shuffle stuff. Im a repair maniac too, just last night repairing my 10mm with another 10mm when mine was only 4% worn, just to get back under encumbrance. Thank god for ED-E or I would be one slow moving courier.

There is no "level up" button, it happens automatically. Frequently in the middle of something else.

Nothing at all. Bashing subsrciption models for micro-transactions is the new black. I find it interesting that only the middle players (Guild Wars, LoTR, Champions Online) are going to that model while the king of the hill (WoW) still charges $15.99/month while "failing" all the way to the bank.

My #3 hotkey does that all the time for no particular reason. Ill go to equip, press 3, nothing happens, look at Pip-Boy and that position is blank again. Only that key does it though.

I cant cook anything more complicated than spaghetti, nor can I watch more than one pot/pan at a time. Since its Friday Ill be treating myself to my only-eat-lunch-out-once-a-week, a Tuna sub from Cousins Subs. Damn the Italian bread from there is delicious. Im pretty sure they put crack in it.

Yeah, I had ED-E lock onto a rad scorpion that had fallen through the earth except for the tip of its tail. ED-E would see that and his combat music would start but the scorpion couldnt be targeted, so ED-E would just hover over it. Every time I interfaced with ED-E and told him to follow he would follow for one second then lock back on the scorpion. *reload and lose an hour*

Huh. Are the stars caps super important to the end game or something? Ill admit, I ran into a big pile of meh last week and my game has stalled right outside the NCR prison. Im tired of walking 20 minutes real time to get my ass handed to me by something ED-E opened fire on. I know, I know, its me, not FO:NV. I want to like it but it just hasnt grabbed me up yet. Not giving up, just taking an extended break.

He intercepted me right outside Primm. He was in a gun battle with a Jackle gang member, which he won, then approached me telling me how she joined him then tried to rob him. I then had a chance to rob him myself but I let him go.

Wait, so both of them got roofied? Anywho, bummer of a story to lose a girl like that. You're young, more fish in the sea, etc, etc...

My god man, havent you seen what happened when one party runs the show? We wind up with TRILLION dollar money pits that only benefit 10% of the population.
