From the weapon screen in your pip-boy, press and hold any number key except number two (number 2 is already slaved to switching ammo) and a sub-screen will pop up. From that screen you can click a weapon and it will be assigned to whichever hot key you were just holding down. -

I am using the cheapest ammo available, but that's because I keep forgetting to switch to another type of bullets. Vault 11 is very cool by the way Just to clarify, there are two types of "regular" ammo. For example, iirc, in the General Store in Goodsprings you can buy ammo directly from the proprietor or alternatively, he offers "cheaper" regular ammo that costs less but tears your weapon up faster. Ive never bought the cheaper stuff so I cant speak for it. -

Yeah, I think I did the same. I originally tagged Repair, Speech and Medicine and thought I could get by every level up with adding a few here, a few there, a couple to Lockpick, etc... but its become obvious to me that I should probably concentrate on those. Hence why I had to make such a radical move (dumping 15 points into repair in one level up just to repair ED-E). -
Yeah, I noticed ED-E will get hung up on almost anything. Twice Ive had to retrace my steps to retreive him, which is annoying, since he stands behind you I never notice hes missing until hes pretty far back. He also thoughtfully attacked 3 "evolved centaurs" that I was running away from forcing me to go back and get him, only then noticing one of them was named . I hope that didnt break anything later down the road.

I saw that option and found everything except one of the sensor modules. I checked every single vender I had opened up to that point and nobody had one for sale. While Im sure I saw another laying around somewhere I just didnt have the energy to go back through all the same ruins again to find it. I even tried to cheat and Google "FV:NV Sensor Module" and no walkthroughs came up. -

If you manage to fix ED-E in Primm, you can use it as a mull. I'm not sure what the upper limit is for it holding stuff, but it seems to be over 200. Heh, I had to "sell out" to fix ED-E. I had just leveled and had to dump 15 of my 16 points into repair just to get within 20 of the requirement. A skill book and a feat that doubles the skill book finally got me to 65 Repair to fix ED-E. My ED-E has a carry load of 210 lbs which is exactly the same as me so maybe he just scales to match the player? Tried to get ED-E to the (optional) quest of his to return him to some junkyard but its far away and it seems to take forever to travel by foot. Tried taking out the prison but walked into the admin building, which is infested with Power Gangers, and in a spastic fit tried to exit the building with one HP. This caused an auto save right outside the building and when everyone ran out after me, a loop of death, autoload, death, autoload... Had to go all the way back to a save in Primm. -

Do you seriously not know why his name is Deep Throat? I thought that was pretty obvious. Care to enlighten those of us not in the loop like you? Deep Throat was the code name given to the Watergate informant. -
Balls of Fury I didnt catch the whole movie (only saw the last half or so) and it was on normal cable so it was edited but the parts I did see had me laughing out loud.

Happy Birthday Kor!!!!

Same here. Im still only level three, holed up in an abandoned sheriff station just outside Primm, one pound away from being encumbered, sitting on the fence on who I should recruit as sherrif, lol.

I believe the Steamcloud also stores your achievements, if your into that sort of thing.

What about less of a all-or-nothing plan? Maybe a 15-20% reduction in their salaries or forced furlogh days (thats one of the things they are doing here). It may take a bit longer but wont hit as hard. According to this UK government site the total workforce for England is only 29 million, so a 500k reduction in that is what, 1.7% or so increase in unemployment in one fell swoop, pushing their unemployment to around 9.2%. The bigger problem I think will be the loss of those peoples spending power which may result in other indutries (housing, credit) having to absorb the costs because people simply wont have the means to pay their bills.

One thing I learned the hard way and found a bit odd. On my way from Goodsprings to Primm I got jumped by a few Powder Gangers who had set up camp on the side of the road. They attack and I kill them and when I go to loot one of the metal boxes in the camp I took a Karma hit. Why would that effect my Karma, they are my enemies, it wasnt like I was "stealing" from them. Anywho, I learned that if the reticule is red, dont take it unless youre playing a bad guy. -
So far, I havent experienced any bugs on the PC version at all and it runs smooth as butter. Still in Primm, just Is he controllable via a companion wheel? Im not even sure how to bring the companion wheel up. I think I need to RTFM again, which brings up something I dont like. Why cant I save or print that manual?

I just cant wrap my head around firing a half a million people. I mean I get it, fire them and you dont have to pay them, but wont that have a cascade effect on the economy? Almost every dollar paid to those people is directly injected back into the economy by them paying their mortgage/bills/groceries/etc..., so by removing such a large percent of your populations (on top of those already unemployed) ability to do that would seem to add a further strain to the system. Not to mention 500k more people "on the dole".

The plan looks quite painful, and I wish the US would do the same, but what really caught my eye way the half million layoffs. Thats more than the entire US unemployment rate! I cant imagine the fallout of an additional 500k people on top of whatever is the current unemployment numbers. I know its spread out over four years but still. How do those of you in England feel about this? Good plan? Mad plan? You're marching on Parliment as we speak?

I played the game for a few hours (PC) and everything runs super smooth. It autodetected my 5870 and set everything to "ultra" and tbh, it looks good to me. Mind I dont have anything to compare it to but nothing is insulting my eyes. This is my first foray of any kind into the Fallout universe and with all this being new to me Im having a blast just wandering the areas scrounging through everything. I too saw the wildlife interacting with each other and there, just over the small hill, a running gun battle that I wasnt even involved in. I really like that the world does its own thing outside of my influence. Stopped playing last night after just rolling into Primm. I think I screwed myself a bit on character creation. There was a screen that allowed the selection of two, I cant remember what they were called but some of the choices were "Good Natured" or "Small Frame", but it said on the top of the screen "choose two (or none)". I took the "or none" to mean I would be able to spend those points later but upon making level two I wasnt offered the opportunity. Oh well, going to play it out as is.

Per the manual linked above: Hotkeys In the inventory menu, define hotkeys by holding one of the number keys (except the 2 key, which is used to switch ammo types)...
