Yeah, I found the observation deck through sheer dumb luck. Go back to the room you entered when you first met them face to face. Go left of the entrance, up a set of stairs and through the door at the top. If you've got the science for it, you can even help out a bit by using the machine to the right of the launch button.

Heh, I had a similar problem with ED-E. While exploring the REPCONN building he would open doors and gleefully blast ghouls, even chasing then down halls and around corners, and he doesnt even have hands with which to open doors, lol.

Yes, I didnt even know she had her own house so I thought I had to rob the safe in front of her so she would go hostile and follow me to the front of the dino. I was never given a conversation choice to lead her out there so I thought that was the only way. Thats what Im going to try when I get home from work. Now, just to find her house, lol. Duly noted.

*knucklehead alert* I cant get Boone to snipe the old lady, what am I doing wrong? Ive tried everything I can think of here. I wait till around 9:00pm when Boone's shift starts in the dinosaur. I put on his beret. I go into the lobby and pick the safe (odd that you have to "steal" to further the quest). Inside the safe is the note telling how the old lady sold Boone's wife into slavery. She goes hostile at me ripping her off and starts punching me. I kite her outside and to the front of the dinosaur but Boone never snipes her. I ran around for a while in front of the dino thinking maybe there is a preferred "kill zone" but nothing. I even kited her up to the dino mouth just to see if that would force a trigger but still nothing. What gives? Go ahead a spoil me if you have to.

Technological advancement is inevitible for a suitably motivated and financed country. Im just saying we were doing this 25 years ago so its not a huge surprise other coutries have caught up. Im a little surprised they didnt rip off the plans 24 years ago tbh.

I have a couple of stash spots. The house directly across from the General Store in Goodsprings (thanks Maria Caliban), the hotel room in Novac and of course ED-E, my self propelled suitcase.

Finally rolled into Nipton and did a couple of the quests but I think I screwed a couple up too. For some reason, when I went in the room in REPCONN that was supposed to have the Stealthboys, the ghoul on the upper floor that I had just accepted a quest from went hostile and I had to blow his head off with the cowboy repeater. Guess he doesnt need me to find his girlfriend any more. Also, went to the junk yard as part of the REPCONN quest and ED-E's optional quest fired up and he played a recorded message. After that, nothing. The quest is still flaged as open in my Pip-Boy so Im not really sure what went wrong or what Im supposed to do next for him. One last thing is I cant figure out who to lure into Boone's sights. The quest marker shows a bunch of possibilities inside Nipton but none of the people have given me an option in conversation that would complete the quests. I dont think this is broken, I just havent figured it out yet.

How/when are these patches downloaded? I ask because theres been what, two patches already, and Ive never seen my Steam or FO game actually downloading and installing anything. Ive never seen a patch download screen like mkreku linked so Im not sure anythings been patched. I tried looking in my Library and didnt see anything obviously asking me to "update" or anything like that so does it just do it in the background?
