Agreed. I just bought and downloaded the game from GoG and it looks terrible. I made it past character creation and buying a few things at the inn in the beginning before I had to turn it off lest it destroy all fond memories I have of the game. Can't you circumvent the rez with just the wide screen patch (and some gui hack), or is my memory really that faulty? I gather from the previous posts that TuTu seems to work.

^Should have sold it on Ebay. I caved to the sirens song that is cheap games and joined GoG. Dont know what Ill buy but seeing $9.99 for BG w/ TotSC and $5.99 for Arcanum was just too much to pass up.

So, just to get the stupid questions out of my system, the games GoG sells are already fully patched and guaranteed to work in modern systems and OS's? I already saw BG is speced to work in Win7 x32 and x64, is that the case with most/all games?

Isnt that why GoG is letting its users download everything they bought? I would assume the same would happen if Steam ever goes belly up, or at least I hope so.

Take notice of what? Was this supposed to make people flood to GoG in droves and buy up all their games? If anything, I would think this stunt would be counter productive and give people the impression that they are unstable.

Good for you? Again, Im not discussing the topic but the legal process. The voters of California, following the letter of the law, changed their state constitution to reflect their wishes and one person has the power to erase that. A state costitutional ammendment was nullified by a handwave! That should make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. How does an ammendment even make the ballot if its illegal/unconstitutional? Clarify this position please. The only limits should be on things that go against state or federal law.

I dont know the details either, I just find it revolting that one person can squash the will of millions who legally ammended their states constitution to reflect their wishes. Marriage is not protected by the constitution afaik.

Regarding the bolded nonsense, wouldnt the constitution be "stupidly easy" to reammend the other direction or is that only for whoever you disagree with?

I was simply refuting your statement that "it takes a lot for something to be "legislated" by the courts" when in fact it takes very very little to randomly overthrow a states legally binding constitution. Whats the point in even voting on anything? All we need is a federal judge to decide for us how we should live.

Regardless, my example was to prove that it takes almost no effort to "legislate" through the courts. ONE mans opinion trumps millions of registered voters. Sickening.

You were correct right up to this point. As we can see by the example being played out in California, a judge does in fact have to power to completely ignore the legal state constitution and issue a ruling (re-allowing homosexual marriage) based on nothing more than his feelings on the matter.

I too am playing normal and agree its pretty easy. The enemy will dutifully patrol, five feet away, while I cast heal on myself five times, heal up the dog, transfer a bunch of loot from my pack to the dogs, etc... Does the AI become more aggressive on higher levels?

Not one word of his post had anything to do with the forward progress of time and everything to do with the division of powers. It doesnt matter whats "changed" in society over the last 200 years, it matters whos governing, state vs federal.

I would use the picardfacepalm.jpg but Ive retired its use in honor of Hades passing. That same trillion dollar savings is going right back out the door, most likely x3, for UHC over a decade. Wheres the savings? That same 100 billion per year could buy us 9 new aircraft carriers PER YEAR, which would at least produce something tangible instead of creating a money hole. Not to worry though, "the rich" will be taxed into paying for it all.
