  1. Take notice of what? Was this supposed to make people flood to GoG in droves and buy up all their games? If anything, I would think this stunt would be counter productive and give people the impression that they are unstable.
  2. I see. Too bad Steam doesnt sell it, Id love to pick up the entire BG series w/ expansions, all patched up and ready to go.
  3. How does that video in any way suggest a marketing stunt?
  4. Good for you? Again, Im not discussing the topic but the legal process. The voters of California, following the letter of the law, changed their state constitution to reflect their wishes and one person has the power to erase that. A state costitutional ammendment was nullified by a handwave! That should make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. How does an ammendment even make the ballot if its illegal/unconstitutional? Clarify this position please. The only limits should be on things that go against state or federal law.
  5. I dont know the details either, I just find it revolting that one person can squash the will of millions who legally ammended their states constitution to reflect their wishes. Marriage is not protected by the constitution afaik.
  6. Dunno. How do you deal with tyranny of the judiciary?
  7. Lol, take a deep breath there little fella. I dont hate anyone, or have a stake in the outcome, or even live in said state. I simply refuted the statement you puked forth earlier. Regarding the bolded nonsense, wouldnt the constitution be "stupidly easy" to reammend the other direction or is that only for whoever you disagree with?
  8. and yet the concerns of 5% of the population trumping the other 95% doesn't? Eh, Im not interested in getting into right/wrong. I was simply refuting your statement that "it takes a lot for something to be "legislated" by the courts" when in fact it takes very very little to randomly overthrow a states legally binding constitution. Whats the point in even voting on anything? All we need is a federal judge to decide for us how we should live.
  9. Regardless, my example was to prove that it takes almost no effort to "legislate" through the courts. ONE mans opinion trumps millions of registered voters. Sickening.
  10. You were correct right up to this point. As we can see by the example being played out in California, a judge does in fact have to power to completely ignore the legal state constitution and issue a ruling (re-allowing homosexual marriage) based on nothing more than his feelings on the matter.
  11. Does each dorm room have an attached bathroom or is it a barracks type setup?
  12. Eh? So they really are closing down? Me confused.
  13. Im really dreading what they did to the Arcane mage. Looks like it time to go back to the fire tree.
  14. I too am playing normal and agree its pretty easy. The enemy will dutifully patrol, five feet away, while I cast heal on myself five times, heal up the dog, transfer a bunch of loot from my pack to the dogs, etc... Does the AI become more aggressive on higher levels?
  15. Not one word of his post had anything to do with the forward progress of time and everything to do with the division of powers. It doesnt matter whats "changed" in society over the last 200 years, it matters whos governing, state vs federal.
  16. Something piqued my interest in that bio and if someone could 'splain I would appreciate it: How did an entire planets location become "lost" in the first place?
  17. I would use the picardfacepalm.jpg but Ive retired its use in honor of Hades passing. That same trillion dollar savings is going right back out the door, most likely x3, for UHC over a decade. Wheres the savings? That same 100 billion per year could buy us 9 new aircraft carriers PER YEAR, which would at least produce something tangible instead of creating a money hole. Not to worry though, "the rich" will be taxed into paying for it all.
  18. Sure, NOW you tell me when the price has doubled. Thanks for the feedback though.
  19. x32 or x64? How hard was it to get it running? The KOTOR II forum below is like a years-long problem fest so I assumed the original KOTOR would be even more of a pain to get up and running.
  20. Pfft, 100 billion is nothing. Thats what, one years operating cost for our necessary () UHC?
  21. I was thiiiis close to buying KOTOR since a lot of people seem to love it but then I noticed this: and realized my Win7 x64 would never run it and I just cant handle having to fiddle with the software to get it to run. Honestly, if it doesnt work right out of the box for me then it becomes a coaster/object of my eternal rage.
  22. But is it a waste? We were that capable precisely because of the R&D we did 40 years ago. You dont just pull the next generation platform out of thin are, it takes years of work. I hope we wont need the F-22 in 20 years. We dont have to arm for another war in Europe. The next big showdown will be with China. Great point.
  23. Agreed. I dont know about that. The M-1 was developed in the 1970's (yep, its really that old) to fight the Soviet T-72/T-80. In the beginning of each Gulf War it was instrumental in crushing Iraqi ground forces and its absense would have dramatically increased the duration of that phase. Sure, NOW they seem a bit overkill when everything switches to house-to-house fighting but for destroying Iraq's standing army? It cant be beat. Literally. Luckily for us, we are willing to spend a huge percentage of GDP on our military so for the time being we dont have to trade one thing to accomplish another. I also think you may be underestimating the effect that being able to transport a carrier force that outguns most nations has on bad guys. AFAIK, there are currently no new fighters or tanks on the drawing boards, but I get your point.
