  1. You know, I just dont understand the Mexican government. Seriously, why dont they round up a couple of divisions and systematically level these cartels to the ground? Yes, the bad guys have some power but surely they cant stand up to the forces of a trained military.
  2. How does it work in the UK wrt free education? You can get a four year degree (Bachelors) on the state but anything after that the individual has to pay for?
  3. You dont typically see mages gem for Int, is that due to the recent patch? Except for weapons, casters now get spellpower from Int. Yeah, I just remembered that so I need to get busy with regemming when I get home! The Primary mage glyphs are teh suck though.
  4. You dont typically see mages gem for Int, is that due to the recent patch? EDIT: It must be. IIRC, Int influences SP so I need to regem too.
  5. He somehow managed to DOUBLE the standard DPS of your typical 6k geared mage? Im clearly doing something wrong. I didnt have my Recount turned on so Im relying on someone elses data and only for the last boss, maybe the overall DPS was much higher. I did notice that something changed in the mechanic as I was pulling huge amounts of threat for my typical spell rotation, which wasnt the norm. In trade chat pretty much every class was pissing and moaning about how their class was "ruined", especially the Pallies and Druids. Did they remove tree form or something?
  6. So far Im digging the patch. My server didnt go live until 8pm in my time zone so I only played for a few hours but what Ive seen so far I like. I spent the next two hours sorting my talents and tool bars and for mages, the fire tree is looking super sexy. Played the daily random with an Arcane spec and stunk up the joint DPS wise so I have to look into that.
  7. Well, 4.0.1 goes live today. Im excited!
  8. Sorry to hear that Wals. Today is the last day of the week for me. Took tomorrow off and have Monday off in observance of Columbus Day so Ive already got one foot out the door to start my four day weekend.
  9. Ah, that just never stops being funny.
  10. I was very pleased to see this comment: as I was really worried that the "headbob" would give me vertigo. Unbelieveably, even the slight "weaponbob" that you see in Borderlands starts to bother me after a while of playing.
  11. I would assume, since it being held in New York, that the time zone is Eastern Standard Time.
  12. ~Di, go here. Follow the prompts and everthing will work out fine. All upgrades to IE automatically port your setting and favorites over and should be totally painless.
  13. The same author that quipped "purebred German Bratwurst"? I wonder what that could mean.
  14. Here you go.
  15. Well, according to Wiki, he was only 5'7" but that was average for the day.
  16. I really like their ideas for loot outlined under point #1. I wish WoW would look into something like that.
  17. Wait, if the media controls the electorate, wouldnt the leadership have to court the media to remain in power?
  18. But imagine the wailing and sobbing if they sold us a 10 hour game.
  19. ^Its like the rice in your Chinese dinner, its there for filler.
  20. I love Raising Arizona, the humor just hits me right in the funny bone. I havent seen any of the others.
  21. Wait a damn minute, LHC up to full power in 2012....predicted end of the world....coincidence? I dont think so!
  22. Interesting you should mention that, I have a question. When I purchased BG from GoG the first step was to download or run the file. I chose to download it to a folder and then run it from there. Is that the installer package you are referring to? Does my downloading it to a folder on my PC mean Im safe from GoG going belly up? That I can just install it whenever I want regardless of GoG or does it still phone home to GoG before firing up the installer?
  23. Im not sure what all that has to do with anything but my point was directed at those posters in this thread who have never parented a minute of their lives yet somehow feel like they have it all figured out and are an authority on the matter. How do I put it nicely? They need to pull their heads out of their posteriors because they dont have a clue. Come into the thread with their chests all puffed up trumpeting this and that nonsense? Facts? Life experience? Screw that! Guess thats par for the internet course. I couldnt care less what the cop did, Im just addressing the knowitalls. To answer your questions, neither of those count as parenting. See, parenting is a full time job that you never get a break from. You (the parent) are responsible for every aspect of that childs development from birth until they leave the home and they depend on you for that guidance. Babysitting is a few hours gig where your job is to basically keep them from dieing on your watch.
  24. Or one for time spent parenting vs. people who have never parented a minute of their lives. And no, watching your younger sibling for an hour doesnt count, at all, in any capacity.
  25. IMO, its because having a physical copy gives people a feeling of ownership where a digital copy is at the discretion of the supplier. The faux GoG going out of business and the resultant "what about my games" is a good example of this. If we could somehow "own" the digital version I dont think as many people would be adverse to it.
