  1. Same. Well, it goes from the tap, into a Brita pitcher, then drank. Also coffee (but mostly in the evening instead of the morning) and IPA beers. I should cut the beer out but its super strong (for a beer) so I only need to drink a few to catch a buzz. I never ever drink pop.
  2. My wife barely knows this forum exists, so when I die Ill just disappear, nobody will come on to announce it. She also 100% runs the household finances, so unfortunately, she always "spoils" herself to the gifts because shes always peeping the Chase app and the Amazon cart/previous orders.
  3. I ordered my wife two presents today: Wind deflectors and her favorite perfume I still have to figure out more presents for her, but thankfully she handles the rest of the present buying. @Keyrock whats the space between rings, 1"?

  8. Yeah, tetanus and whooping cough are combined into one shot here too and 100% free. That shot didnt bother me but the Shingles felt like I got punched in the arm. My elderly sister was riding my ass about getting the Shingles vaccine (its recommended at 50yo here and Im already two years past that). She wasnt vaccinated and caught it and said it was the worst pain ever. Then she convinced herself that one of her older friends died from catching it and the pain was too much. I think my physical was free too...they didnt even ask for a copay and I havent gotten any bill yet.

  10. Russia firing unarmed missiles to deplete Ukraine air defense, says U.S. military official | Reuters That may be why some of the shot down missiles are still mostly intact, no boom.
  11. I cant remember, do you have any pets? Does it scare them? Are you worried about Kaylon 1 driving through a pet accident?
  12. In addition to the above reply, I think Russia is also trying to "drain down" the Ukraine air defense stocks by launching a lot of inert and old missiles. Ukraine cant know which is live and which is a dummy so they have to react to everything.

  14. If not for nukes, theyd be the Europe and Asia rooster.
  15. Smaller (and smaller payload), higher flying and longer range than the B-2 but I really want to get a look at the tail end. The B-2 already has "an RCS of 0.0001m2, the same as the F-22, the size of a bumble bee" so Im more interested in what theyve done to further minimize the B-21 IR signature. Love that its designed with unmanned capacity too.

  18. Its my understanding that AU Medicare covers all citizens and permanent residents regardless of age, sort of their version of UHC: Australia's Healthcare System: How it Works for Expats and Foreigners (internationalinsurance.com)
  19. @ All of you living in UHC nirvanas, I assume all vaccinations and medicines are free of charge? @Gorth, youre geezerly like me, does AU Medicare pay for everything? Would you have to pay anything out of pocket for the Shingles vaccine?
  20. That doesnt save Joe a dime. I have bigger fish to fry than qq about a companys profit margin. I worry about me and mine and thanks be upon the FSM that I have good insurance. But a lot of people dont have insurance so these types of preventative medicine are ignored. Do you know what would largely prevent that? UHC. Or perhaps we should nationalize the entire medical industry (hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical companies, R&D)?
  21. Whenever you get a vaccination at a Walgreens, they give you a printout that describes the vaccine, possible side effects, etc. Part of the etc. is they show the cost of the vaccination. As I was perusing the document I noticed the cost for a single Shingles shot (2 are required) costs $205.99! Now my insurance picks up 100% of vaccinations (and generic drugs) so its not my problem, but just imagine some Joe Shmoe walking in off the street with no insurance! $412.00 for the complete round of vaccination is criminal! My wife even said, if we werent covered, she would just take her chances getting Shingles before paying that much, and I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of people think that way. This causes people to "roll the dice" wrt their health, and then when the guano hits the air circulation mechanism, they have no recourse. This is a great example of why we need UHC.
