  3. I guess its not "metal" but Free Bird has a great guitar ensemble. I wish I could have seen these guys live. Well, I saw them live at NAS Jacksonville in the early 90's but all the good ones died in the plane crash: 1) Ignore the Confederate battle flag. 2) Skip to 6:47 if you just want the guitars. 3) Wow, 1977 California girls! Not an uggo in the stadium.
  4. Damn sorry to hear that. Hopefully they can find a treatment that is effective for you. Has your doctor already prescribed some of these?: Psoriasis - Diagnosis and treatment - Mayo Clinic
  5. Yeah, Im pretty crap about going to the doctor and will usually only do so if somethings hanging out of my body. Between 1997 and whatever year Covid started, Id only gone to the doctor once when I twisted up my foot missing a stair. But Father Time is undefeated, and Im no exception, so I decided to put a little more effort into being proactive with my health. As my wife puts it, whos 5 years my junior; "these are the years when things start breaking down".
  6. I dont notice it when Im wearing them and looking through them, I notice it when I look in the mirror. But I have to agree on the auto-shades, thats awesome. I also think I should have gotten bifocals, but with no magnification at all on the bottom half of the lenses. I dont need any correction out to 5-6 feet, so now I have to prop them on my head when Im using my pc.
  7. Two weeks ago I got new glasses. Pros: apparently the prescription of my previous glasses (that Ive worn for almost a decade) was too strong. Cons: I got the Transition lenses and they dont go perfectly clear indoors. Theres still a slight tint and thats bothering me. Last week I got a general physical (they were quite surprised my last Tetanus shot was 30 years ago ) and today I got the first round of the Shingles vaccine. Sucks getting old but I guess that wraps up my medical needs for a while.

  13. I went to my doctor for a general checkup and everything is green across the board. HUZZAH! But being male, and of a certain age, for the first time I had to undergo an uncomfortable procedure.
  14. You fatcat!
  15. Heh, I try and try to spoil my cats but they have such a bland palette. Theyre totally content with eating kibble every day, although I do cycle it between salmon and chicken. The wont even eat the delicious tuna or sardines anymore! Im an enabler to my animals and offer them everything Im eating but theyre persnickety.
  16. Y2023 is a "void year" in Rodgers contract. I wonder if hell stay with GB? A whiney Rodgers is still better than Love, imo.
  17. And we STILL dont have UBI, UHC, UFH or UFE (just got axed). Ffs, I exist, therefore Im entitled to funding! Were circling the drain here but luckily I only need the US to survive another ~60 years.
  18. Its interesting to me that something as inconsequential as instant oatmeal was only just introduced to SA in 2002! Its a good reminder for me how different the world can be.
  19. I think you misunderstood (or I you), oats have always been available here in the US, I just havent eaten any since I was a wee lad. And I just Googled it and oats dont grow in the jungle, should I be upset that someones getting appropriated?
