  1. 19th century is not 15th. What is so shocking about it? You want to rewrite history because its now 2000+ and womens are equal now? And someone mentioned Boudica - well she was not living in catholic culture. Dont get me wrong - I am for equality but this is historical fiction and in these times women were threat badly. If setting would be set between amazon warriors I would not shout at dev that I want to play as man. I dont get why someone cant grasp on that fact. Political correctess all around again?
  2. Which thawed permafrost cave did you just crawl out of? They describe it as an RPG that is not a medieval simulator. So, a female pc is an obvious choice. They have already acknowledged this themselves. However, they are making the game around a male character, much like the Witcher games. I think that is unfortunate, but referring to medieval reality in a game produced beyond the year 2000, really? It's yet a fantasy game, for goodness sake. Should we exclude female characters from all medieval inspired games while we're at it? Then we'll have that cosy, sweaty locker room feeling, where boys will be boys, and women are from Venus. Medieval views of women are best kept medieval. Ehm no, its not fantasy game, it have accurate historical setting. Yes its true that some blacksmith guy would probably doesnt become king (as it will not happend in game) I dont know how would you like to loose combat as women character and then get raped. Watch Joan de Arc movie and its still flavored fiction. In fact Joan didnt ever fight, she was just icon to boost morale.
  3. Women thing again even here? Really? Yeah you are all right, women in 15th century in central Europe were equal to man, right. Now lets talk about unicorns in space
  4. Well they are not gathering funds for game itself. 500K bucks is no-way near of funds they need to finish it. Its purpose is to give their investor confidence that there are people who want such game to continue financing them
  5. I dont like it as well, but if you want all 3 acts for reasonable price I suggest to pick only act 1 now. Devs stated that it was on purpose to put other acts so high now. I bet you will be able to get it after Act 1 is released for 20-30 bucks each. Here is some explanation: We definitely intend to make Acts II & III and release them as soon as possible. However, our funding and schedule does not reach past first Act. We will finalize our plans for the release of Acts II & III when we get closer to the release date of Act I. For these reasons we don’t want to offer and promise them as a Kickstarter reward in their own right. We want to use them as a token of our gratitude to higher tiers backers, but you should think about it more like 100% discount offer than a guaranteed reward.
  6. This is sort of where I'm at as well. A year ago I might have backed this despite it not being directly up my alley. But I've backed a lot of games in the last 2 years, most of which have not released. In order for me to back anything else, it has to be something I'm completely interested in, from someone with a proven track record. I just don't feel like donating my money for a game that is at least 2 years away, made by people I've never heard of, and with some basic gameplay I'm not totally sold on. All that said, I have a feeling these guys won't have any trouble raising the $300k they've asked for. I know a lot of people who would trip over themselves to play a game like this So make sure to let them know
  7. Kickstarter to support AAA game Kingdom Come. Realistic RPG without magic and monsters: You will not find any dragons, half-naked Elven warriors, or wizards in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. At no point will you have to collect seven pieces of a legendary magic staff to defeat an ancient evil bent on destroying the world with an army of demons. We think there are enough such games out there. We want to bring you a strong story rooted in the height of the Middle Ages, brought to life in all its glory. So what is Kingdom Come: Deliverance? Think of it as Braveheart: The Game. Majestic castles, armored knights, large, open field battles, and political intrigue set in a vast, emergent world. We want to make the experience as authentic as possible – real-world locations, real castles that don’t look like something from Disneyland, period-accurate armors and costumes, combat and fencing systems designed in collaboration with the most knowledgeable, skillful swordsmen around, and a story based on actual, historic events. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1294225970/kingdom-come-deliverance here is some promo video: please help those guys.
  8. Shameless advertisment for Kingdome Come on kickstarter (not started yet)
  9. Does it mean you are not working for your personal profit? Your Boss must love you (if you are still in schoole just skip my comment)
  10. so political gender correctness discussion again? I am male and mostly playing male characters as well. I definetely doesnt have six packs but I am not insulted at all if someone play character like that. As long as it have at least some meaning I like 'attractive' womens in games. What problem is it?
  11. All great except these atributtes. I just cant hang on it. I thought that basic attributes should somehow characterise person. Sorry but if I tell about someone that he is ''Penetrating'' what the hell it means? I am not fan of Might as well. And Int give greater AoE for barbarian cleave? just no for me. Anyway not big game breaker
  12. I was playing CK2 Old gods last night for around 5 hours. I was trying to make Great Moravia slavic pagan nation with custom made king. When I start game i got rebels in month or two - thats fine I dealt with them. But after year or so Hungary just roll over me with 10K+ soldiers and I am just done. I tried it 5 times and always got screwed by them;. Oh well no pagan Great Moravia for me
  13. Finally, something comes along that almost gives me a reason to get a Vita. Almost. Ah, Japan. Thank you for being Japan. Whoo, I know that Japan got some weird anime games, but this is some new level. I would actually enjoy cooking game for first time of my life! Why there are not more games like this promoted in Europe
  14. hard to guess, but Legend of Grimlock wasnt kickstarted? not sure, but there is a lot of people who already 'bought' game through kickstarter support so it mean less revenue after release
  15. That is quite disturbing Rosbjerg
  16. I bought some ultimate edition few weeks ago and now thinking about replaying Skyrim again with all those DLCs and stuff. I gone wild on Nexus and get quite good mods I found interesting. Now when I slay my first dragon I dont absorb his soul and game stuck . Isnt there some mod similiar to OOO for Oblivion? I dont want to test 10+ mods togather to discover in middle of game that its broken.
  17. So I can go sleep now, no update today? ahh ok almost 1am here
  18. *Knock knock* Is there that warm up party here?
  19. Damn my English, you are right. Its more frustrating now tho You two gave me hope as well as I getting emails about posts in this thread
  20. Going to do my periodic monthly rant abount lack of progress. Also seamlessly helping to open new page so Tigraness have it ready for new update
  21. Instant memory flash of Ultima Online, best fantasy MMO so far but not much practical for PE imo.
  22. Nice update! However buildings and overall placing of srtuctures in stronghold seems strangely scattered and chaotic. I would expect buildings leaning next to walls then placed into open ground etc. Good example would be Candle Keep
  23. There should be terabytes of art and screenshots available. I don't understand why they don't post at least one concept art - even if its still work in progress.
  24. Take Your time, we're not in a hurry. Hey, speak for yourself
