I want realistic fog of war this time. Sorry but I don't think the old rts style of fog of war untilised by IE games is enough. Makes no sense. Like you have the party on an open ground and they can't see past 10 meters away? wtf? Check Wasteland 2 and Divinity Original Sin. Characters can see as far as the eye can, unless obstacles are in the way.

For those who have problems pledging via Fig, the game is already funded so at least will have the extra languages and the multiclassing. It would have been out even if not funded anyway, but that's another matter. So, you can wait for a paypal pledge, if Obs decides to allow, or just buy the game when it's out. Noneed to make a big deal of it imo.

PoE had 6 because nostalgia and IE purists. Devs say encounters would be more tactical and combat of better pace this time around, hence the 5 party members. Unless we see actual gameplay we can't say much more I suppose. So no one has nostalgia for PoE's 6 member party? Well, I do, but, t's not important After all, sometimes you need to acknowledge that some things have to change in order to move forward.

Turn based

Thankfully, no -
I think it may have increased for a while when Shandra Jerro joined you. You're right, I believe. It wasn't for very long, though. She became a normal companion for a bit after that iirc. I believe it was you +4 and then, for story reasons, it got down to 4 and up to 7. But I might be wrong and this isn't the point of the thread so better leave it here, no?

Well it was NWN2, standard party size was 5 and liked it a lot. Also, WoW had a 5-party limit which also worked well. Thing is with 5 party members you get the classic (from WoW and on I suppose ) formation: tank, damage, dagame, damage, heal, but you can also experiment with other builds without being limited that much (4 members suck!) and helps for more interesting encounter design. I truly believe so. - "But; in the Infinity Engine games..."

Crowdfunding is a way for companies to get money in advance from overhyped nerds, such as ourselves, and not risk their own. It's a buisiness model that works mostly for them tbh. We just buy a product we migh as well bought if it was made the classic way. Crowdfunding platforms know that and sell it as grass-root bullsheet, more ethical, "we do things together" and other fancy stuff. This is even more real in board gaming - I got a chance to get involved lately as a designer and saw it a bit from a closer view The geek industry has found their golden egg laying hen. For the moment at least. That all been said, if you're about to back/buy a game, I don't see why you should care about what platform the company uses.

dual wield pistols
Sedrefilos replied to Gromnir's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
These pistols are not revolvers so dual weild pistols sounds a bit weird, unless of course you shoot them both, then reload them both etc. Same goes for sword+pistol weilding; cut, shoot, reload. Historically, these pistols were most probably melee weapons used in close or full contact with the opponent to inflict a critical would. One shot and off with them! You wouldn't get to reload them in a melee. Unless they go for "whatever man, this is fantasy! A pistol in each hand pew pew!" they'll probably implement a mechanic for this kind of fightng.
