  1. Black Widow #13 Cover Art by Phil Noto

  2. One of 'em just broke form and choked on capitulation, next door. Was good to see, like when I pass tireless CHiPs out there haulin' in festering miscreants.
  3. Records broken. Thanks to something called a dry slot, coast temperature at 1830 hrs was 100° (38C). Average High for Sep. 16 is 73°. Still 90° now at 2024hrs. May go insane, soon. I am literally under the E in Oceanside in the reddest red part. Also, just discovered how ancient Egyptian headdress styles were invented. Your head is hot, you soak a towel in water and place it directly on the skull, strategically so that water drips down your back, cooling you, but you have to fold the sides behind your ears and drape it down to your shoulders, channeling water drips, just like a pharaoh probably might have, or not.
  4. Like a Corvette up against an LFA. The Chevy never had a chance. As long as we're comparing scabbards, I'll take the trophy by default having the word man in my username, and as it continues, literally encompassing a gathering or occasion characterized by a specified activity, of manness, a man fest, with I in the middle, truncated by an acronym standing for, I Spew Offspring.
  5. I love the nomenclature, it's like a little reminder of Gary Gygax when I log in. Just another reason Obsidian is the preferred destination.
  6. Jimmeny Christmas, 1-1 never felt so satisfying. 120° on the field at Qualcomm, Seattle melts in the heat wave. Can't believe it. It is really effin hot, though ... no AC as I type this.
  7. I haven't had an eighteen-year old since middle school. Not true, it was high school. Or rather after high school. But before turning 21. It was well within the statute of limitations. Or I mean consent, whatever. Totally legit. There is a lot of sweetness mixed in with the hard cider, a little much, right now, but I do have a sweet tooth anyway. I noticed though, that straight cinnamon, cimmanon?, whisky, is not superbly alcoholic, kinda like sake, only sweeter, and more like cimmanon, sinnamen, sin no man. Whatever it goes great with jalapeño crackers. I just bought a new chair to play games, a recliner with ottoman ... like cinnoman but with O's and you put your feet on it, while watching movies with eighteen-year olds. Pick it up tomorrow, super pumped.
  8. Tomb Raider: Underworld wetsuit cosplay, best ever. In b4 Polish hate mongers.
  9. Oh, man, remember the last time he was free ... or, at least, didn't know where Mrs. Shot was ... he was not a happy Hurl. I say leave him in chains. It's what people want.
  10. 'Jedi Master Luke Skywalker', by Phil Noto, March 2013. Check out his tumblr, superlative is too small a word.
  11. Can't believe it, but if The Fifth Element were a person, she would have had a driver license for more than a year, now. An icon, this film. Could be top three, all-time.
  12. That does look like a possibility. Interesting female lead, at least.
  13. Sah-ree I've never even noticed a post from you before this one, so you weren't really the target. Burn. Very manly, polite burn.
  14. Oh man, oh ... damn BestBuy has an incoming 55" 4K 240Hz UHDTV with 802.11ac, five HDMI inputs, USB, and a two-sided QWERTY remote, September 23 for $1399. Two hundred-forty Hertz, oh man. How many days in a row can I eat ramen noodles to justify it ... the answer is whatever equals 3840 x 2160. That's a lot of noodles.
  15. No one, who knows their PC is a beast, refuses to describe its fangs and claws. This game shouldn't be so demanding ... god I hope it is.
  16. Huh, two months later I finally get on board with this. Fireball cinnamon whiskey, Angry Orchard Cinnful hard cider, over ice in a wine glass. Probably against the law, and it's really weird to see condensation on a wine glass, but highballs are so rat pack. It tastes fine and cinna-dandy. Will try straight shots of the whiskey next. Watch out, pretzels.
  17. The Last of Us is the one game to make me play longer than the controller's battery charge ('bout 8 hours). Although hopefully Marvel Infinity 2.0 will come close, in a couple weeks. One week after that, Shadow of Mordor looks promising.
  18. 30,000 XP, not too shabby a bounty. You talk like I had a choice ... who wrote that.
  19. That punch to Cap's shield, dead center to the star by the Winter Soldier feels just like the punch to the gut when you see a glimmer of Bucky trapped inside the Soldier. So much kicking of the ass, and cool characters, strong females (Agent 13, Sharon Carter, Peggy's niece, I believe, oh yeah, she kicks-in Steve's front door like a champ), and Natasha straight up hand-to-hand against Winter Soldier. Whew!
  20. Rice is getting updated out of Madden NFL 15, too. Ray Rice erased.
  21. If they made cool Wonder Woman video games with groovy collectible editions, I would totally eat it up. But Batman ... eh ...
  22. Finished the Vale of Shadows. There were thousands of undead. Okay, dozens and dozens, maybe a hundred, but it felt like millions. It wasn't until before the final battle that I had to buy potions, Frost Giant Strength, Speed, Healing, paid for +1 Full Plate, the two front-runners had their AC down to 1, and 2. So we cleansed the place, did the dialogue with Kresselack, killed the Priestess of Auril, then went back and claimed the black plate and magic weapons from the sarcophagus, a two-hander and a long sword. Now there's a temple with some verbeeg that need attention. Gotta go.
  23. Given enough healing potions ... I can't even buy enough healing potions. The Vale of Shadows, or whatever, at the beginning of IWD, literally has platoons of undead: skeletons, ghasts, ghouls, mummies, bone guardians ... and only one or two Cure Light Wounds potions per dungeon. My low-level four-person party--really two and a half, with a mage and thief in tow--is up to their necks in survival combat. Rest healing after clearing a dungeon is the only way, that I know of. It is really strange to see the time stamp: You Have Rested 35 Days, 16 Hours.
  24. Really, British, not from Oz ... okay, fine, will start taking him seriously.
  25. I tried that, too, even succeeded incrementally over time (straight motherloving A's), got within two semesters before growing horrified by the cost, and future costs. Now I still have no diploma but all the repayments. I would not recommend the path I chose. So, but anyway, I'm sure you'll nail it down sooner than later.
