  1. Very good, will play for sure. The music alone is worth it.
  2. Same body, alternate purpose, even less chance at life, ergo undead.
  3. Like shooting fish in a barrel, full of monkeys.
  4. Reanimated, you mean.
  5. good god damn dem gams
  6. For me that sounds like an absolutely horrendous experience, I can't believe you enjoyed it Are there stop signs in Austria ... there are many of them here, and not a single bicyclist stops at stop signs. Even the dressed-up nitwits in biker shorts, the shoes, and jersey, completely ignore basic road rules. They want equal treatment and share of the road without earning the privilege. I was just wondering if it's a worldwide phenomenon.
  7. They aren't wings without bones, right, seems obvious. Am I missing a frozen retail invention, or something. Had In-N-Out for dinner, which was lunch late at work today. It was tasty and good, so it must be good for me.
  8. Not Episode VII related, unless they go for a Biker Scout redux as well--unlikely, but not impossible. Maybe for VIII or IX. Finally this 6" set came down to a reasonable acquisition threshold, so I made off with one. I'll open it and pose the guy ... still too much to buy two and keep the other in-box. The natural motorcyclist in me always really dug the Speeder Bikes.
  9. I hope not, the Tesla outnumbers the Leaf maybe 4-1, here, even though it's at least double the price, maybe more. Not really a fan of either.
  10. Far superior? The Fifth Element, in German dub? ... outlandish. Phonetically impossible, even. Gary Oldman's voice alone, disproves the assertion.
  11. I can offer one digital download of the game when the game releases. I'm not sure how many of the voters would be super keen on an extra PoE download seeing as most (if not all) of us are digital backers. I'm happy to put a few dollars towards a sub $50 gog or steam game of the winner's choice. You're right. Everyone could pitch in for $1 and then we see where we go from there. I got another idea. The money we collect here could go towards Obsidian's next Kickstarter game. The winner gets the money to back that project. Maybe? As a grand prize, I agree, sounds good. Plus all the Likes and devoted adoration of everyone who participated should go to me the winner.
  12. Oh yeah, remember the photo of the old California grocery store in one of the recentish backer updates, the Alpha Beta store. Let me go find that again. BB 257 really is an A-to-B. Which means something else entirely at the recruit depot.
  13. If you read the thread title fast enough, it's a complaint about the release date, not the content within. Problem solved.
  14. The ingenuity is in the details, of an imaginary dialect. Which is already incorrect, as it is an imaginary syntax. Also incorrect, since it exists on 'paper', consistently, not solely in the imagination. My best guess as a hack English major, is, it's a distinct mix of simple present and past continuous verb tenses, built on decapitating adverbs, wrapped in received pronunciation. Consistent reproduction can only indicate a greater comprehension of the official language. Also explains the schmuck detection. Edit: ninja'd by an MFA, as always. I'll just go read my Little Golden Book.
  15. Earn it first, from a pirate quest, spend that quest XP on a new feat, say, on an island ... with monkeys.
  16. Okay, now what happened in Isla Vista. Wait, I saw a movie about Bacon, long time ago, at the MCA La Jolla. He was in his home, a burglar dropped through the ceiling, attempted to burgle, stayed for dessert, and Bacon ... that's it, that's all I remember. It was in ... summer '99.
  17. Weird, just last month I compared Pollock and Picasso to Obsidian and Bio, right or wrong, with no text to back it up, however. Should do that. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/66436-bittersweet-eternity-an-open-letter-addressed-to-obsidian-entertainment/page-8?do=findComment&comment=1465137
  18. It feels weird, but also good, watching a whole season at once, six months after the finale. Beats the price of cable, anyway, sorta. Season Four, Walking Dead, ohmigosh wut no YES holy **** watch OUT WHAT that's her it's HIM turn around god! Great and clever dramatic irony, they played around with blocking the story perspectives and timelines. Could be the best cast of any season, tons of callbacks for items and characters. Relentlessly well-written, and the set dressing, exterior and interior, is just nuts how consistently believable it is.
  19. Quoting wikipedia, intentional grounding, spot of the foul, fourth down.
  20. Jesus christ, you are the preeminent axe-murdering photographer. Those raindrops appear translucent, or crystalline, with their own source of light. Amazing.
  21. Is there a Swiss-like state of neutrality for middle-of-the-road-mancers. Extremism is really putting the lame in lamentations.
  22. For anyone not participating, Polygon posted 13 minutes of their own PoE beta run, with commentary from two dudes. Mostly pretty positive. http://www.polygon.com/2014/8/25/6066433/pillars-of-eternity-gameplay-video-preview
  23. eh, so, for the lay-people struggling to understand (not me, I totally get all of this) ... so the problem beta backers believe they're experiencing, is weak character builds that all look the same? And are they asking for ability score bonuses to be higher to compensate? Is the general plea for more power? And then, so, this thread's idea says, no, leave the ability scores alone ... because straight power increases are not the answer ... the answer is more choice of talents/skills at each level-up?
  24. I know, I got another T-shirt, some PoE playing cards, and the digital strategy guide. This way, when PoE comes out, I can play solitaire wearing an Obsidian shirt, underneath a Pillars of Eternity shirt, underneath another Obsidian shirt, irksomely checking the strategy guide after getting total party wiped by beetles, thanks to being distracted by the aroma of cornbread in the oven made from Tim Cain's cookbook, long after reading Chris Avellone's novella, all while listening to the game's incredible, dulcet soundtrack by composer Justin Bell.
  25. That is frightening. One of my geology classes taught me the Bay Area has faults capable of magnitude 9.0+ ... a steep and deep "strike/slip" fault that will eventually deposit the city into the ocean. San Diego is comparatively in the clear, with the biggest faults well-inland. Even L.A. is on top of a big one. Scary.
