  1. Ugh, balls and satchels. How about the view I had from work, today, instead. La Jolla, close to Windansea.
  2. What, no, please don't be true.
  3. JUST DID EIGHT HOURS STRAIGHT TLOUR NEED FOOD THEN MORE PLAY
  4. Bob A. Salvatore is a cool dude, left-handed, and very personable when he autographed my first-edition The Crystal Shard. Not a 'greater' writer than Weis and Hickman, just different, and still fun. That's what it's all about, having fun in a different universe, and less the dissection of authorial allegory.
  5. I noticed the writers--or maybe designers--don't feel the pain of completionist-type players, who are compelled to spend hours mining and clearing every last frickin' planet in ME2, only to have excess supply counted in the hundreds of thousands by game's end. My other quibble, is keeping a lid on Tali's face the whole time. Why not have a grand reveal, or a tragic and beautiful one. I kept thinking it was coming, only to be denied. Christ, we saw Darth Vader's face, Cobra Commander's, the bad guy in Battle of the Planets cartoon, but no, not Tali.

  9. I don't understand 'homage'. Is that, like, giving an hombre a massage. Perhaps a message.
  10. It's, er, what's-her-name. I remember seeing that movie at the drive-in, after I drove-in my motorcycle and met some buddies. No dates, just dudes that night. It's what's-her-name, she played the wife in A Beautiful Mind. Also the messed up girlfriend in Requiem for a Dream.
  11. Only ten days until 5E Player's Handbook comes out. Don't know if I'll get to play, so much, but reading will be fun.
  12. A single-player game, with an unrelenting story and my choice of getting scared through stealth, or purple twinkie bricks during face-to-zombie-face combat ... amazingly fun. Played three straight hours already today, in The Last of Us Remastered.
  13. I can't think of any game I've ever played that didn't have one laugh. Even this apocalyptic zombie game I'm into now, The Last of Us Remastered, makes me smile sometimes.

  15. Somewhere, someday, someone will complete a doctoral thesis on comment psychology. "Twenty-one percent of responses each from twelve percent of control group B1 entrants produced qualitatively false data expressly for the purpose of consideration by other entrants to elicit regard as 'knowledgeable' and/or 'skilled'. Most-numerous themed incidents qualified as 'simple ultimatum' based on 'dissatisfaction' after completing false data construct. Most-numerous repeat turn of phrase, 'I'm taking my ball and going home if you don't play by my rules'."
  16. It's alright. When someone's crappy team gets plowed under, steamrolled, and obliterated, it makes them lash out and cry so insistently, it penetrates Ignore Preferences.
  17. Don't do that, go head to head with an enemy in a face-off.
  18. Nice one, almost got it ... hang, hang your head in shame.
  19. Eastern euros, fie upon their general direction.
  20. Thanks for the update, I very much appreciate confirming confirmation information data. Pretty excited for the t-shirts.
  21. Wouldn't that be a Kobold? Look at the pointed head and the scales. I have never heard of any game system that has portrayed Orcs with reptilian features. It's a draconian. Good-aligned dragon eggs (bronze, gold, silver, etc) are corrupted by dark magic, creating humanoid dragonmen. Some explode when they die, some turn to stone, some turn to acid, some have wings and can fly, some are strictly magic-users, all are powerful. From the Dragonlance universe, originating as a D&D campaign. Draconians were indeed an alternate race to the orcs, which don't exist in the setting. Goblins, yes, orcs, no.
  22. What if no one really dies. What if your body just stops working. What if, without gravity, we just float away into nothing, no longer matter, no longer mattering.
  23. No undead ostriches. Am disappoint. Also, if you've ever played Far Cry 3, you never want to see another cassowary ever again, ever.
  24. That is a properly horrific rat tale. Makes me glad to live in semi-arid conditions, which I think precludes bastard-great finger biters. Also, is Hackney the place, the origin of hackneyed the term.
  25. It is damn difficult to save face after losing one's head.
