  1. Looks like a bad install. Pink blotches are missing textures. Are you on GOG.com and manually patching? If so, you need to install both patches for the game to work: The patch for the base game AND the patch for the expansion.
  2. The comma highlighted should be removed (it serves no purpose and is ungrammatical.) Screenshot "Between she and I" makes no sense and is highly ungrammatical; "she" and "I" are subjects and can't be used as objects. "Between her and me" is the correct form. Screenshot "forgive me saying so" should be "forgive my saying so" Screenshot Screenshot In the last screenshot, two correct uses of the comma have been joined in an incorrect mix The correct form is either one of the following two: Her eyes shine, and for an instant she looks like a much younger woman. Her eyes shine and, for an instant, she looks like a much younger woman. EDIT: A few more. "return" should be "returned" Screenshot Sentence begins with a space that needs removing. Screenshot "fully articulated" should not be hyphenated (composite adjectives that include an adverb never hyphenate.) Screenshot "Might fine" should be "Mighty fine" Screenshot
  3. This bug was originally reported here but since 2.02 is no longer beta, I figured it would have better visibility if I posted it again in this forum. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the Priest (Vailian portrait with elegant violet clothes) and access her inventory. Unequip her shield to lower her Deflection (you'll need this later); observe she is wearing Raiment of Wael's Eyes. Right-click the robe and observe its description says it grants Mirror Image when hit by a Critical hit. Back to the game, select the Moon Godlike, activate her modals and send her to face the Alpine Dragon ("Mirror Image" is a combat-only spell so you must be in combat to test whether it works); make sure you keep the rest of your party out of enemies' sight so you can conduct your test. Select the Priest and have her cast Devotions for the Faithful on the party; simultaneously have your Wizard cast a Scroll of Valor. The protagonist should now be able to crit the Priest automatically upon attacking her. Select the protagonist and attack the Priest. Observe that when the Priest is struck by a Critical hit, Mirrored Image doesn't proc.
  4. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Access the stash to find Tidefall, and give it to the protagonist. Right-click Tidefall and observe its description says it applies 25% of damage over time. Back to the game, select the protagonist and have her attack a party member of your choice. Observe the combat log says the protagonist affected that party member with *EffectError*. (The ability works, so apparently it's a matter of making it lookup the correct string in the dialog file.)
  5. Got a saved game that exhibits the issue to upload? Alongside your output.log file. QA will ask you for those
  6. Only potions I give my frontliners are healing potions and Deleterious Alacrity of Motion. The latter I have them sip as soon as the fight ensues, while the enemy draws near. It's a big DPS booster. Scrolls I generally leave to casters (and I generally mostly use Scroll of Valor and Scroll of Defense.)
  7. It already exists after beating part I, so I don't see why not. (in the base game the final fight is balanced against level 9, btw)
  8. Guess there's a RES check for that dialog option? I usually play low-RES characters so I would miss it.
  9. It was never "proc on hit" that I know of. It was, and still is, "proc on crit" on Sanguine Plate. Barbarians activate it when they want.
  10. ^ interesting! Didn't think you could get the armor surrendering the evidence.
  11. I usually kill her too, but she does have a point about the legacy. She's one of the very few who don't buy into superstition.
  12. DR is perfectly fine. Why do you say it displays incorrectly?
  13. You need both the patch for the base game AND the patch for TWM for both updates.
  14. GOG is the way to go just need to figure out the patches to install.
  15. I installed both patches from GOG and everything's fine. Only issue was the missing file I got from Oralaina.
  16. This is the path in my install: C:\Pillars of Eternity\PillarsOfEternity_Data\assetbundles\prefabs\objectbundle
  17. QA don't fix issues; they just report them. Programmers fix issues, and fixes can't always be made retroactive for a variety of reasons. PoE's team is already rather small and a good slice of them are working on TWM pt. II, which doesn't leave many people working on the updates. I believe they are doing a great job given the time and resources at their disposal.
  18. In answer to the OP's question about difficulty: Yes, on Easy it doesn't really matter what your party composition is; nor does it matter on Normal or Hard. Path of the Damned is less forgiving of tactical/strategical mistakes and may prove more challenging with a sub-optimal party composition, but there are people who can solo on that mode so there's no reason any party composition could or should be unable to beat the game on PotD. My favorite characters are Edér, Aloth, and Hiravias. Edér is the most popular here on the boards because he's got the bro attitude. Hiravias is, as Luma mentioned, a coarse and perverted character but that kind of humor always gets me so I like him a bunch. His quest is also good. Durance and Grieving Mother, a.k.a. MCA's characters, are commonly regarded as the best-written characters in the game. Their story is good but it takes a long time to unfold. Other than that, Durance is annoying and hates everything; GM is self-righteous and tries hard to pass for the infallible moral compass that she isn't. Kana will be as quiet as a calm sea. Which is not very quiet. /ducks to avoid Luma's incoming smack
  19. Are you on GOG.com? You need to install the patch for the base game AND the patch for the expansion for it to work. If you only install one of the two, the areas that weren't patched will show up pink (it means the texture is missing.)
  20. Or use the console to give yourself a new copy of the grimoire.
  21. Then grab Oralaina's file and slap it in your objectbundle folder. It will make it work. I didn't fix Tidefall retroactively for me, but for some reason it did fix Gaun's Share retroactively. Weird times.
