  1. But his contribution to PoE was rather minimal. He wrote two characters that ended up being severely downsized compared to his original vision, and little else. In his first interview after leaving Obsidian, when talking about modern-day RPGs, he mentioned WL2 and T:ToN but not PoE.
  2. A soulbound pollaxe would also be rad. There aren't many good enchanted pollaxes in the game.
  3. The ironic part is that Revive from St Ydwen's Redeemer doesn't really work (unless 2.02 beta fixed it.)
  4. ^ did you try PotD Thaos scaled up to 14th level? I could beat him at my first try with a fully custom party, but my CC/debuffs rarely landed (and my Wizard had high PER.)
  5. When I opened this 2.01 was already out though (I simply skipped it) so chances are Aarik was already on 2.02.
  6. This is about the 1000th thread about this. Obsidian was always very upfront about TWM being a mid-game expansion. Never was it implied in previews, sneak peaks, trailers or interviews that the expansion would be playable after beating the game (a massively counter intuitive concept that has seemingly become very popular nowadays.) Not only that, but the game is also very upfront in repeatedly telling you that you can't exit the pit once you enter it. It even creates an automatic save called "PRE ENDGAME" for you right before you jump in. It's not like it should come as a surprise that you can't leave?
  7. So, what is the problem with replaying the game anyway? Most people seem downright allergic to a second play through, whereas I'm on my fourth and still enjoying it like crazy. 'sides, it's not like Pillars of Eternity has little to offer in the ways of replayability.
  8. ^ that's rather outstanding; hope they fix it before releasing officially.
  9. Motivation in the form of a mechanical penalty would have been poorly received. I'm glad they didn't go down that path. But it is true that, playing POE, it can be easy to forget you have a problem. Then again, because the problem is one that builds up slowly, I guess it's fine for you to take your time resolving it?
  10. Could someone with the beta patch check whether these were fixed? Weapon "Speed" enchantment doesn't work (was fixed in 2.0 and broken again in 2.01) Soulbound weapons don't register kills to unlock the next level Monk multi-class talent does not apply to Druid's Spiritshift form Thanks!
  11. To clarify: Everything that says "attack speed" only affects recovery time except DEX, which affects everything. So for firearms, an "attack speed" penalty actually reduces your attack rate by 1/3 of the % stated (if not even less, since reload takes so much longer than everything else); for all other weapons it is about 1/2. The same is true for stuff that speeds you up; e.g. Potion of Deleterious Alacrity of Motion gives you +50% that only applies to recovery, so it's more like +25% total attack speed. Likewise, a Barbarian's Frenzy gives you +33% attack speed which is more like 16.7% in total. DEX is an exception as it also affects the speed at which your attack animation plays (or any other animation, like reading scrolls or sipping potions.)
  12. It is said in the game that the PC learned the truth about the gods, yet decided to stick with the Inquisition and saw Iovara's soul damned to an eternity in an adra pillar. This would have been inner conflict material but you only learn it from Iovara at the very end. It doesn't help that it is you who get to decide what Iovara was to you (friend, lover, sister, etc.) I mean—it's still inner conflict material but if she's your sister, the inner conflict is likely a lot deeper than it if she's just a friend. Another inner conflict hook would be your learning that not just everything you believed, but everything you actively fought for was false and the person in whom you had put your trust up to that point (Thaos) had known all along. I agree the game could've delved deeper into these points. But going mad as a Watcher is a slow process that takes years, rather than an immediate consequence that happens in a few months' time. Your journey starts from when you become a Watcher and doesn't last as long as one year, so it makes sense that you're not going mad just yet.
  13. mogo, could you attach a saved game and your output.log file? QA will request these.
  14. There's a chance it was fixed and the fix is not retroactive. Have you tried giving yourself the Grimoire via the console to see what it looks like?
  15. It's 7. Keep in mind that elemental damage from weapon lashes always goes against 25% of the target DR, so if a character with a lash weapon hit you, your DR against the lash damage would be 7 * 25% = 1.75
  16. Well yes, a description was already there since the beginning What I mean is, does it have a black-and-white illustration of the weapon in the style of the IE games? All soulbound weapons do except for The Grey Sleeper in 2.01. Example from St Ydwen's Redeemer: By the way, do modals retain their graphical effect upon saving/loading now?
  17. Torm51 - if you right-click the Grey Sleeper, does it have an illustration in its description? As of 2.01, it was the only soulbound weapon without one.
  18. Too powerful?
  19. You need to bring up the console hitting a key that unfortunately I do not have on my smartphone; guess it's the tilde key on U.S. keyboards. Type IRoll20s This will disable achievements and enable cheats. If you pursue achievements and don't want to disable them, install the IE Mod to be able to cheat without typing "IRoll20s". Then bring up the console again and type AddItem itemname 1 You can find the item name in the objectbundle folder in your PoE installation directory. Mind that expansion items start by px1.
  20. Which version of the game are you playing? QA will ask for a saved game and your output.log file. Have you tried using the stash's sorting options? Sometimes you'll get something you couldn't find otherwise. Alternatively, you could cheat to give yourself the weapon.
  21. Yeh, Vulnerable would get you more bang for your buck; there are many other ways to boost Accuracy but not so many to get DR Bypass.
  22. ^ that is my understanding, yes. Not sure why 15% instead of the originally planned 10%, but it was definitely stealing more than both before 2.02. Fairly sure Tidefall got Ambushing on top of Draining.
