  1. The original design was to allow you to only rest in certain locations on the map. This feature was replaced with camping supplies during development.
  2. 1. group stealth =/= mean stealth is broken 2. there's no need to drop thing on the ground, your stash is infinite in size 3. why on earth would you ever want to walk? 4. design decision 5. design decision 6. it's called "resting." You should try it.
  3. The problem with your suggestion is that all of the things you listed are contingent upon the attack succeeding or not. You want to interrupt, you need to hit first; You want to debuff, you need to hit first; you want to do more damage, you need to first; etc. Anytime you add accuracy back into the attribute mix, it becomes the most important stat.
  4. I like the idea I saw in another thread: each point of Con lets you ignore a percentage of armor action penalty. So characters with really high con would be able to wear armor with little or no penalty.
  5. I agree with most of this, except putting accuracy back into the stat picture. Even with relatively low gains, accuracy is just too important.
  6. Hmm... I'm thinking an estoc and vulnerable attack would maybe be better than savage attack.
  7. Yes your ranger can learn mechanics. However, she can only do it on level up even if she has unspent points.
  8. I'm having good luck with my balanced paladin right now. Stats are: M 18 C 7 D 7 P 14 I 18 R 14 I could've taken Dex and Con down further, but I've found that hurts my fortitude and reflex scores too much and negates one of the great things about Paladins.
  9. Hey OP, thanks for letting me know there's no voice acting in the game! I guess I was just hallucinating when I heard Aloth and Calisca talking to me. I'd love to talk more but I need to find a sanitarium so I can commit myself. Thanks again!
  10. I've tried a few different builds for Paladins, but given the faith and conviction bonuses, I'd try to not have a ton of true dump stats. They can easily have some of the best defenses against every type of attack.
  11. Make that "the best classic tactical CRPG in the last decade" and I'll agree... Nope, best RPG of the decade bar none.
  12. Most videos are released at the same time to backers - And early builds are on CIG PC's at conventions so the media can't take it home and play for hours before backers. Respect is what I am getting at here - Obsidian has very little for its backers it seems. The devs of game still months, if not years, before a release and one going to be released in less than a week or two vet different beasts. It's like comparing how one person acts at the start of an exam and another two minutes before time is up. Regardless, of what you think Obsidian did what they thought would give them most profit, and as a backer I'd be upset if they didn't. I gave obsidian hundreds of dollars because I love the games they make and I want them to be successful. If you feel like obsidian trying to be successful is disrespectful, than you have no idea what "disrespect" actually means.
  13. That's what I thought. I was just second guessing myself with weapon focus soldier having the Arbalest and Arquebus as potential secondary weapons. Any ideas on the best stat spread for an off tank paladin? Every time I try to build one I end up mediocre at everything...
  14. Star Citizen - seems to be making money hand over fist - Largest Crowd Funded game ever. 75 Million Dollars to date - Chris Roberts does this by putting the fans first and he gets way more respect from the media - because they report everything he does even though they don't get review copies. Still not released yet. It could crash and burn. There's also been press events where they've seen builds/video before backers. Seriously you need to settle the **** down.
  15. Thinking of weapon choice, is going for the Estoc over a two handed sword worth it?
  16. At the top of this forum there's a sticky thread called "tiers to SKU" it has all the info you want. In fact, by the information you've given I'm going to guess you have the champion edition. Happy?
  17. No it's a respect issue. http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/03/23/pillars-of-eternity-the-first-half-hour/ http://www.pcgamer.com/were-livestreaming-pillars-of-eternity-from-3-5-pm-pdt-come-watch/ And a whole bunch more https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=pillars+of+eternity&safe=off&tbm=nws There was even a documentary released on media sites - I wasn't aware of. http://www.incgamers.com/2015/03/pillars-of-eternity-saved-the-company-says-obsidian-documentary They released it to the media first because that's how the industry works. If they didn't there'd be no day 1 reviews and everywhere you'd see stuff like "no review means it's a another buggy obsidian mess." So if you want obsidian to succeed and for more games to be made in the genre you need slow your ****ing roll.
  18. Kotaku reviews are rated this way: "Should you play this? Yes, Not Yet, or No"
  19. yeah, it can be a boring class, but that is a selling point for some folks. boring to Gromnir is blessed low-maintenance to another player. even so, we woulda' liked more options for abilities that required player involvement, but we woulda' wanted stuff such as sock suggested earlier in the thread. improve paladin by including more abilities, optional abilities, that would still be defensive and support in nature, but would require more player monitoring, for those o' us micro-managers who have control issues... or whatever. HA! Good Fun! Oh yeah, don't get me wrong having a low maintenance build for the paladin shouldn't go a way. I just wish there was a way to have a more active build too. But if wishes were fishes...
  20. Hmm... I'm still trying to figure out the primary weapon and stat spread for my human paladin. Idea was to be an off tank with either a greatsword or an estoc, and decent intelligence for the aura buffs. Not sure on on the other stats though.
  21. My beef with the paladin right now is that there's no real way to build a more "active" paladin. Most of their abilities are passives or reactive in nature. Compare that with the fighter which can built to be very active or completely passive.
  22. No. it's been like that since the mid 80's at least. The majority of case law since then has stated that EULA's are valid and enforceable contracts.
