  1. The inventory system are genius in my book, so easy to manage equipment for the whole party compared to other games. Think more games will use the same system in the future.
  2. Doubt PoE will end up a short game, especially with the stronghold and mega dungeon, the developers have said it will be a long game as well. And I think it will be more fun to replay it than D:OS. I don't see the comparison between D:OS and PoE either really, such different games. D:OS had way more funding and, even though I like the game, it had too loads of bugs in the beta - I couldn't manage to play it back then.
  3. Well deactivating the music in wasnt a thing in old console games so you had to I just played my music louder than the game did ghetto solution but it worked.
  4. New information on release date, expansion pack, and the developers general feeling about their process. Originally posted on the South Park forums.
  5. Seems like we will get a release date within the next two weeks, and it's confirmed that it will be this year: Great interview, recommend watching that.
  6. Really interesting, great interviewer. Should post this in the PoE-forum as well, nice to hear they are this confident in release date and that the game will turn out good. Can't wait!
  7. I'm thinking they might not want to spoil it, but from videos I've seen there's a sort of "tutorial" part in the beginning with temporary companions, so I'm guessing you won't be able to recruit any before completing that and reaching the first town after. If the price on new companions from the Adventurer's Hall are the same as in the beta - I imagine it's hard to afford 5 of your own handpicked companions right away, but possibly a couple of level 1 companions can be affordable. But it's all just speculations.
  8. A really good thing for me anyway, I easily get bored of buying small things like that. Don't really like repairing gear either.
  9. So much drama going on, if we wait a bit and see a few patches in how much they fix we will get a general feeling about how much they can do before the winter. I've played more bugged out betas than this and they turned out playable for release. Only Obsidian know how much they can do in how much time.
  10. I like it, but I don't think I've ever kept the music on in a singleplayer game for more than 50 hours + of gaming, I'm pretty sure I will be turning it off and play my own music after a while. As of the beta I think I had it on for about 6 hours of gaming then I jumped over to my spotify playlist. EDIT: Actually I did listen to the music in The Legend of Zelda-games for what must have been hundreds and hundreds of hours.
  11. I don't see the "over the top"-names, seems to me like the universe fits together just right. But wether you are attracted to that setting is individual, personally I have a hard time relating to any sci-fi fantasy. Did a quick search on Lord of The Rings-names, and I've got to say (although I love the movies) - some "12 year olds playing lego" could make up these names: Harry Goatleaf, Bob, Helm Hammerhand and Bard the Bowman.
  12. December 19th, probably not likely to release it on a friday but gotta be original
  13. I wouldn't call the current hud terrible, I actually like it alot. But your suggestion isn't bad either, although I don't think I would ever read the chat box the way it is on your setup.
  14. I have this bug as well, think it's a known one since I've seen many talking about it. I've had a key and various weapons disappearing on me from time to time, but seems like they are still in inventory since I can't replace the slot they used to be/are in with another item.
  15. I believe I had one key vanishing on me, but I was able to use it anyway, so it might have gone into some quest stash inventory or just gone invisible. Never had all the keys disappearing on me yet though.
  16. This is happening to me as well in the process of loading a game only. But it's only for a short time for me, after 1 minute of waiting it disappears and I'm able to continue playing.
  17. Yea, I got this bug too. Pretty sure they are aware of it already. The icon became visable again after playing my Ranger for a bit though.
  18. I like the UI very much as it is now, but freedom to move it around wouldn't hurt.
  19. I'm experiencing bugs here and there but lately I haven't seen many of them actually, been having much fun and are looking more and more forward to the real deal. Had a long session today with my ranger and had some amazing fights, and these quests are addictive. Will be interesting to see what the first beta update fixes though. One thing I haven't been able to do is add more members to my party because of a bug with the Inn but haven't really needed more party members. I'm really happy that I bought beta access.
  20. Yea I got this bug too when hiring new party members. The new hired companion just won't follow me out of the Inn, and I can't seem to go back into the Inn again to meet up with the lost member. Happens to me on every game I've made.
  21. When using the mouse scroll at some locations the NPC's shadow move up and down, also the light changes. 1) Start a new game 2) Walk into the Temple of Berath 3) Scroll the mouse-wheel up, then down 4) Watch the NPC's shadow move up and down while the light changes. [Expected behaviour] Wanted to zoom the camera in and out. Couldn't find any other posts with this bug, sorry if it's already posted.
  22. Been trying to force myself to like Risen 3, but can't seem to do it. Loved the Gothic-games and Risen 1 but couldn't get into Risen 2 and now 3, especially 3 seems to me like it's focused on console gaming and there is just something about the combat and graphics that seems off to me. Hope you guys are having fun with it though.
  23. The way you wrote your comments got me a bit annoyed as well, especially when you went in the direction of saying people were wasting their time on the beta and that your time is too precious for you to play it yourself. I think you are a bit unlucky in the way you appear in this thread. It seemed like you took upon yourself a role to be a spokesman for the whole community in a way. But I get that you only want the best for the game and that you are looking forward to the release yourself. I guess I get the point of the thread, and that it is your opinion, and as you said yourself a couple posts ago I think you should wait a bit with playing it since the beta obviously isn't something for you at this point in the development.
  24. Why do you say people are wasting their time on the beta? Just because you don't like it dosn't mean other people dont. Personally I love the insight and the taste of the final result I get in the beta, and I chose to play it and "waste" my time on it. Why are you even playing the beta? Seems like you were expecting nearly a perfect demo with a few critical bugs - that's not the case. If they didn't release a buggy beta we most certainly won't have a bug-free release. I suggest you lay off the beta until the release or atleast for a couple updates to fix some bugs, you will get a better experience if you can't enjoy the other parts of it.
  25. No offense but seems like people don't get what beta is - it's supposed to be filled with bugs and problems. It's a way for the fans to participate in finding the issues and report them for a better final product. Many of the comments I've seen the past days makes me worried people take a look at the beta and just take it for the final result. There's still alot left to do, yes, but I think fixing bugs are a faster process than making what they have done so far.
