If more people from the forum are playing it, should I set up an Obsidian Order custom chat channel?

possibly the best in the series.

Thing is, she is never in firefox as such. It's the game launcher that is being crappy.

Finished Game Dev Tycoon. Final score: 51024138 Hmmm. That is strange. No, it is not a browser game. I use modzilla and never had a problem with a cryptic launcher. I think it wants the cookies for the shop/news stuff in the browser window. No idea what's going on there.

Yeah it will. Heard that from a few people
-
And then youll have to create a new engine that includes Headset Support
-
send you a friend invite. Just check that It will probably tell you that I am offline or in Millenium City. It can be confusing at times to see people as online but in zones you never heard of because its a different game:)

Very much so. Was going to ask, is the player the person being told the story and who will set out on an adventure, or the one telling the story who by then will have retired?

Cryptic games use yoru account name for your friend list, ignore list etc. It's your global handle. It allows you to 1) have non-unique character names (which is awesome in my opinion) and 2) find people regardless of what character they are on and what game they are on. So if you wanted to talk to me for example, it doesn't matter which of my 20+ characters I am using at the time, you can simply /t @melkathi, hi and if I am on, I will get the message regardless of what character I am playing and whether I am on Champions Online, Star Trek Online or Neverwinter Online. The various player made chat channels obviously also span all three games - which can make help channels rather confusing So if your account for example is keyrock and your character is Murzush, in chat you probably look something on the lines of Murzush@Keyrock. The importnat thing only truly being the @something part.
-
I'm german, so to me it is
-
What is your @global Keyrock? Anyway, been doing PvP in Defiance. I had heard it was skill based. Yeah right... To a large extent it is who's cloaking runs out first and has someone with an orange, fully modded shotgun behind them: one shot - dead. Guess I'll try to farm the remaining kills I need for the achievement and then ignore it. Having fun with the group content so far. Nothing challenging, but fun.
-
Argh. Why did I look? I like warhammer, but that fake germanic always makes me cringe.
-
And if you guys end up playign more but need people for the group content, let me know. I should know enough people in that game that can help you out. *shrug* And you can always try and find me at @melkathi I am not on much, but all three Cryptic MMOs share a chat server, allowing for cross-game chatting.
-
You can solo their other MMOs very easily. It shouldn't be a problem with this one.

You actually have to research AAA in the R&D department and it becomes a fourth choice in game size. But apparently you need to have a few specialists to handle that kind of game, otherwise it will tank So I'm trying to get research points to at least traina couple of people up for Story lead, Graphics lead and possibly a third category.
-
Have you got your R&D department yet? I just went into full research mode. Hope I'll be able to bring out an AAA title before Y30 where the score is calculated.

I found the gameplay extremly boring. To a point where it started to make the other little things bother me: the game takes itself very seriously... a bit like a Manowar song - fun enough when you don't pay attention to the lyrics. So since I didn't have fun for the actual playing, realizing that I found the story to be simply silly didn't help

Whoa a Mars screenshot where not everythign is brownish!

I tried to make a ninja dojo simulation for the iphone. Got an average review score of 1.75

Did you meet them as a Bioware representative to convince them to do voice acting for the Tron RPG Bioware is working on? (one can dream )

I have had to go completly comercial lately... DanceBear Revolution. A casual game for the whole family At least it sold 2.5 mil units and made 35.5 mil in sales while costing 5mil to make. With an average review score of 8.5 it peaked at rank 3 in the sales charts. It still is second in profit for me, behind Bears of Might (the sequel of Bears of Magic) which made a profit of 33.8mil at rank 5. Best ranks were Quest for More Rum (or Quest for Rum 3 (though it retconned Quest for Rum 2)) my only rank 1. But Bearplane (ranked 2 in the charts) will always hold a special place in the studio's history: the game that catapulted me out of the garrage by earning 2.4 mil while costing 74k. (same cost as Quest for Rum which made 326k).

I went to a local Comic Convention in Calgary. Did you get yourself drawn as a weregeek?

Try adventure/Sci for Everyone on PC. Prioritise Story and dialogue, add world design and sound and some graphics and don't worry too much about engine and AI. Make it the best 2D graphics your engine can handle and give it mouse support. You should be creating the equivalent of Space Quest. Actually if you make that combo with adventure/Pirate, you may get a 9.something rating for Monkey Island (it's what I did. Though I called it Quest for Rum). (and I hired a second person very fast. So I had one designer, one tech and myself. That allowed for better splitting of responsibilities).

Most kickstarters, when really close to a goal but missing it by a smidgen, seem to throw it in anyway (and probably hope that they'll be able to cover the difference with pre-orders etc). This was the first time that I saw a project stating that they would continue running pledges on paypall for a specific duration exactly so as to fund another tier. The time limit actually does make sense though, as more content and features will have to be included in the planning of the project and can't just be pasted on later.
