  1. @Loranc: Can we add that some of them would be removed from the party, at one point or another, and in some cases that was a permanent situation? Edit: I'm referring to BGII characters.
  2. A semantic error on my part. I was referring to the full screen map where you can see your party move, and click through to locations. I love this feature. That was indeed very good. Also, the ability to set waypoints and not simply set the final destination really helped with the limited pathfinding. What!? WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THIS A DECADE AGO? You had to keep shift pressed if I remember correctly...

  4. Wouldn't dislike an Alpha Protocol 2. It was a bit cluncky, but I liked the story very much.
  5. Exactly, with the expansion they said that they will probably add some content for every aspect of the game. We can expect a city, dungeon, quests, probably new monster, and I expect at least 1 more companion.
  6. I think that the problem here is that most of the suggestions are out of the scope of the project. "Single-player old style cRPG reminiscent of the Infinity Engine games" If someone comes here and ask for "Dragon Age: Origin"-like features, for example, then most of those features are probably out of scope. If someone comes here asking for multiplayer, that's out of scope too. So to some extent, the ability to say "No! Let Obsidian make the game they want!" should be allowed, and should even be quite right. If someone came here asking for an "arena" game mode, with 3rd person view, I will tell them "No!" for sure.
  7. Planescape had only 7 companions. 8 is already more than that. I prefer quality.
  8. Sorry for quoting myself, but I can't see the image anymore and since this forum doesn't support edits after a certain span of time... had to quote to fix it...
  9. I just realized that this *could* be a trolling thread...
  10. I'm pretty sure the English lessons you had in school definitely helped you anyway, even though you've gone through the core of the learning process on your own. You must've picked up some basics of the language from the lessons and a general nature of the structure of the language. After that it's all a matter of learning the vast vocabulary (IIRC you're Italian? Nearly all of Italian vocabulary is Latin and English derives a lot of its words from Latin as well so there's a bunch of shared vocabulary, you have to account for that having an easing effect as well) and picking up the details and minutiae of the grammar, and that is a much easier process when you already know the basics. Yes I'm italian, and yes, the two languages have some similarities. That is somewhat convenient. Though during school tests I never scored more than 4 or 5 (where 6 is the minimum to pass). So I really don't know how much it helped (and it was only for 3 years).
  11. I agree, to a degree. I never understood squat from my english lessons in high school, still, there were games that I wanted to play and were english only. So I started to play them and slowly learned from the games themselves. My first game was FFVII and that was hellishly difficult (I'm looking at you, Barret!). Now, even though I still do a lot of errors when I type something, I can play any kind of games in english without problems or external help (dictionary and such), it took me few years, but well, it's well worth it.
  12. I'm a bit fed off with dragon. Can we have something new?
  13. Unless you disliked Bio games before it was cool in which case the time frame shifts a bit, possibly to BG1. My personal cut off point is NWN, that game was terrible. Well, if you stay long enough on the BSN, the term evolves and shifts toward the newest released game. It happen every time. This timeframe is for DAII and ME3, until a new release ;D
  14. Don't be obnoxious.... I've always been a fan of obsidian (black isle as I was) and I bought all of their games, but now I feel like a "lover betrayed", their indifference towards Italy offends me I've had bad experiences with translations in the past and I've come to prefer the original language (when I understand it) in both videogames, movies and books. Plus there are a tons of double meanings that can't be translated. Many things get lost in translations.
  15. A BioDrone is someone who defend with fanboyism attitude games like DAII and ME3 saying that they are masterpieces.
  16. Don't be obnoxious. There are many talented people in Italy that can translate the game. Such as the ITP (Italian Translation Project) who translated very well many games in the past (I don't know if they are still active though). There is no exceptional need for an Italian translation, since the italian market is relatively smaller compared to others in europe. If any of us italians need a translation to play, the unofficial translation mod will appear soon after release (I can imagine it will be in production even during the beta).
  17. I don't dislike the concept of Set Item, but in a cRPG they should not be placed randomly, and they should not give particular set bonuses, unless they are something blessed/cursed like the sets in The Witcher 2 dark mode.
  18. They still need to experiment in the attempt to fix the Sleep-Button mechanic, because that is kind of broken (the other day I was able to sleep 18 day straight with a single use of the button, in a goblin populated cave in IWD).
  19. 1-That thing has to be optimized. I have 2 monitors and I play fullscreen on the main monitor, leaving the secondary monitor open on Teh Internetâ„¢. This cause the right edge of the windows to be unresponsive when I try to use it to move the visual. 2-There was no minimap in the IE games. There was a full screen interactive map.
  20. Because anyone on Teh Internetâ„¢ has static IPs... Anyways as my friend Boromir sais Without incurring in the usual white knight flame. So just ignore the flamer and go for it. Edit: Though no one seems to have been offended or angered by what was said. Especially the girl with the green shirt (sorry I don't remember if some one said her name). She even posed in front of the camera various times. Usually you don't expose yourself on the internet without knowing how Teh Internetâ„¢ can respond.
  21. If by any chance we get to 40k likes on facebook in a brief time, we'll get another level and that would make 16, just like Diablo.
  22. I'd like something along the lines of Annah in Torment. And I mean both the level of interaction/romance and the romance interest to be a redhead
  23. I'd like the deepest levels to be a real challenge even at level-cap.
  24. yes, Farudan has taken over Ah, good to know! Go for it Farudan!
