  1. I would postulate that reversing Roe v. Wade is the end result of Super Tuesday. This arrangement has given the South a major role in the selection of the US President for many decades, and the elected Presidents in turn have nominated the current justices. The northeastern states still haven't caught up to its impact. At least California has joined in.
  2. Myrthos, founder and long-time director of RPGWatch, has decided to close down the site. RPGWatch - The End is Nigh It's a sad day for all involved.
  3. Even if it missed this time, there's still a psychological impact on front line soldiers.
  4. Our hometown Seattle Sounders became the first MLS team to win the CCL Championship, beating Liga MX side Pumas UNAM with a 5-2 aggregate. In so doing they set a CCL attendance record with 68,741 in attendance at Lumen field. I know it's not much by European standards, but it's still something for us. It's also an indication that the MLS team salaries are becoming competitive with the Liga MX teams, at least compared to where they were ten years ago. It should be interesting to see how well the revamped Leagues Cup goes in 2023. Leagues Cup
  5. It's in Russia's interest to separate the US from the other members of NATO, so there is probably an element of psyops in the communications.
  6. I don't know about legitimately, but certainly there's no insurmountable obstacle to it being overturned legally.
  7. You're... full of it, I'd say.
  8. The issue with abortion will probably always be contentious because both sides make valid points. To me it's a technological problem; abortion couldn't happen without the use of tools. I'm hoping that some day it will have a technological solution, although what form that will take I'm not sure. A system to hold a fetus in stasis prior to implanting in a willing mother? Microbots to block sperm entry into the egg? Perhaps we should have a program to study the possibilities?
  9. I believe it's called "homework".
  10. It happened to the USA with Pearl Harbor; prior to that a significant number of Americans wanted no part in the conflict. Afterwards...
  11. Ukraine is a resource-rich country, so I expect there will be rebuilding efforts. It's not in the same boat as, say, Syria.
  12. Yes, exactly. The goal is to make it too painful for Russia to continue their invasion. Why should we handicap Ukraine when Russia is bombing their cities into rubble?
  13. The US military budget is $813 billion, so at the moment this is just a minor (4%) budget surge. It's costing Russia a lot more to maintain this offensive.
  14. That artillery battle hasn't been all one-sided, and the Ukrainian side is growing increasingly deadly with Western aid. U.S. HIMARS Rocket Artillery Going To Ukraine Would Be A Game Changer
  15. This was the first draft since 2000 where only one QB was taken in the first two rounds. No explanation has been given.
