At least here in WA state we're getting saturation bombed with political advertisements. It's to the point where we get a candidate attack on an opponent immediately followed by the opponent attacking the candidate. This is followed by another pair attacking each other before returning to the first pair. Somebody sure is spending a lot of buckaroos on this stuff. I've taken to just listening to music so I can ignore the repetitive political rubbish.

The problem there is (I believe) it would require the US to break off diplomatic relations with Russia, which isn't necessarily a good idea even with a brutal Putin in charge. Yes the Russian military is committing Nazi-like war crimes left and right, but some day this war will end and then what do we do? Better to keep a minimum lifeline open, I think.

I'm starting to think that this war may not end in a peace treaty, but in a Korean war-style cease fire. If Putin remains in power, then Ukraine will probably need to become a nuclear power again.

I can't really blame you because it is the same principle really -- translating angular momentum into linear velocity. It should be interesting to see what cargo can survive 10,000 g.

Sure. Ukraine is a resource rich country, and they will likely see a need to remain well armed for the foreseeable future.

I'm speculating that type of equipment may come once the war is over, as it then becomes a "deterrent" in case of a renewal of Russian aggression.
