  1. Desert Bus just opened donations today, and they are already well over two days bussing time. What is Desert Bus for Hope? Canadian comedy troope Loading Ready Run does an annual charity virtual drive for Child's Play. They play Desert Bus, in which you drive a constantly-veering-to-the-left bus from Arizona to Vegas. In real time. If you crash, you get towed back to the start. In real time. How does it work? Over the course of five days (even though it keeps growing exponentially), LRR will livestream auctions, challenges, songs, you-name-it in order to keep the donations flowing. Each driver takes a six hour shift. There are guest drivers (such as Al-Jazeera last year), call-ins from various famous people, and even achievements. Yes, Real Life Achievements. When does it start? Friday, 10am. I plan, as usual, to watch it all. Most of the events are recorded for the DBFH YT page. An here. We. Go. https://desertbus.org/
  2. So, TLC really, really sucks. Oh well. Time to replay Origins.
  3. Skyrim + Oblivion In Oblivion, portals show up everywhere, we need to close it. DA:I is about that, closing up portals that will show up everywhere In Skyrim we kill dragons everywhere Dragon Age have lost it's originality, a rip off from many popular games .... Are you serious? "WE do some similar things in game so that means Game A obviously stole everything from Game B"? Like, seriously? "In one game, you kill dragons. In another game, there are dragons." I am serious Why the Fade tearing must be "portals"? And through these portals demons coming into the world, in Oblivion, Daedra coming into the world through portals, It is an obvious rip off Yes we have dragons in Dragon Age : Origin, but it's original, sadly in DA2 the dragons are just there for the sake of must have dragons. And now it's Skyrim dragons with shouts and can talk The Inquisitor is a member of secret organization, in Oblivion the hero have dealing with secret organization, and it's the main quest. In Skyrim, the hero is a Dragonborn, i am not suprised if the The Inquisitor is a descendant of Old Gods whatsover...or maybe a product of experiment making him/her a dragon hybrid...based on trailer i watched it does seems like that All of these are classic story tropes. And what else would you call an opening that people enter and exit from? For the record, in DA3, they don't call them portals. They call them rifts. So even by your own logic, you're wrong.

  5. Not to be pedantic, but what is "Firefly-inspired"?
  6. I am debating streaming my first playthrough. It will be during Desert Bus 8, and I want to participate in that, as well. Perhaps I should look at the schedule when they put it up. It would require two laptops though, hm.
  7. The Last Court sounds like it should drop by next Wednesday if they are talking about it taking a few days to complete.
  8. If #GamerGate has taught us anything it's that "reputable" video game sites are no better. Let's not bring that stuff in here, okay?
  9. I'm pretty sure the premise will stay the same, but it will affect things in DA:I.
  10. Web app that allows you to create/import world states without needing save games. Not linked to buying DAI. There's some pc gameplay on Bioware's Twitch account. On a tablet right now, so you'll have to check the one yourself. Thanks! The Last Court, DA3's text-based tie in, should be starting up in a few weeks. It is akin to DA2's Dragon Age Journeys. EDIT: Beaten! Also, pre-load in 13 days!
  11. Okay. Bruce. Please step back and breathe, and please do not use buzzwords like this that make it easy to legitimize the idea that there are such a thing as SJWs.
  12. I will admit, I want to kill zombies in SF.
  13. We're apparently able to redo Hawke (due to the new engine) in chargen. As for DA3 character names... it's implied that feature is coming. Also: Origin pre-load is on the 14th!
  14. Wait, so when did the onus fall on Person B when Person A makes a **** call about them in a situation that could harm more than just them legally/financially? We're not talking about a Jean Valjean situation here. We're talking about a dude that decided to publicly burn bridges with one of the largest and most respected game companies in the world because an image didn't get updated in a timely fashion.
  15. Word on the street is they didn't like being forced into that engine by Bethesda.
  16. I played the demo. I think I'll pick it up next year on sale when both expansions are out and it has the resolution fix.
  17. New patch for The Forest, deleting my five hour base camp save. Am defeated.
  18. Aesthetically, the game feels a lot tighter now. It looks a lot "fuller". The Backer NPCs - while severely limited in function - are really cool if a tad disappointing. I'll need to test out combat, but the progression of skills in level up actually look like they matter now instead of just "things you buy".
  19. Unexpected but very nice. The Beastiary XP is a step in the right direction but still seems too little.
  20. um, I don't really respond well to conspiracy theory tinfoil hat rants against my character. But if you insist... the question was what am I doing to combat sexism in the industry? I'm kind of making a game with a female main character.
