Dragon Age: Inquisition
DAI actually has the best level/EXP system. It doesn't automatically give you zero EXP for lower level enemies, and the gap is pretty generous. EDIT: And the crack is a hoax. You've posted as such before. It was trite then, too. Why are you even in this thread?

I figured it out... Why RPGs seem to be going down hill.
Oh please. Let's stop this immature, petty, kindergarten crap.

How Should Obsidian Market Pillars of Eternity
Bryy replied to Grape_You_In_The_Mouth's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Not the profit, the sales. If it sells much, we'll have more games, sure. The profit of this game is guaranteed because no money is spent by Obsidian in it. ... profit is sales. Obsidian has made no money on Pillars via the Kickstarter. This is the exact same thing as saying a non-profit doesn't need to worry about money. It cost them exactly $3,986,926.

California likes to panic over a little rain
And we are. It's honestly a double-edged sword.

California likes to panic over a little rain
Sure, it's not as spectacularly awful as East Coast storms, but for West Coast standards, it's pretty out-of-the-ordinary and even extreme. People kayaking down streets and to Safeway in Santa Rosa. Manholes being blown off in Mission street, water shooting up twenty feet or so. Even here, in Redwood City, where the bay is right in back of us, the winds and the rain are pretty hardcore. So yeah. While it is fun to exaggerate and make fun of us, it's not like the fuss is over nothing. A lot of cars are underwater.

Two KEs (one purely offensive and one defensive). When you absolutely, positively gotta kill every last mother***** dragon in the room.

Why isn't there a Dead State kickstarter thread? What's wrong with you guys?
I rather take game which has last years technology with last years gameplay, than to get game which has today's technology and get bored to hell with today's gameplay... Video games have progressed in 16 years. Even Pillars knows this.

Why isn't there a Dead State kickstarter thread? What's wrong with you guys?
Sixteen years ago, this would have been a groundbreaking game. If it came out next to Baldur's Gate, it would have been something. But in today's market with today's technology and today's standards, it really feels like it has no place.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
What were the best schematics you found? Masterwork tier 3 stuff but it seemed to be equal or slightly weaker than the highest level unique items When the game hits the top item cap mid-Act 3, it really hits it.

Actually, they dont need to sell, thats the point of kickstarter jesus christ Feed the devs while they make the game so they could make it while earning their living without being dependant upon special interest parties like the publisher. Any copies it sells is just a very nice bonus Okay. I know you think that evil companies are run by evil, evil spirits or ghosts or whatever that can inhabit our bodies if we don't get enough colon cleanses or whatnot, but do you know how companies work? They need to make money to stay existent. Obsidian is working off loss right now. Every single copy rewarded through the Kickstarter is a loss. That's the harsh truth.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the appeal of watching other people play games? Sometimes I watch to preview games I'm on the fence about. Sometimes I watch to be social. Sometimes I watch because devs are playing. Sometimes I watch just 'cause.

I don't understand why people think BioWare *was* the doctors. There are 800 people at that company. It's just a company. Yes, the founders left. But it's not like the company went bankrupt or anything. You'd think by how some people talked that Ray and Greg were holding up a doorway in a burning orphanage yelling for people to go on without them.

I didn't see the point in those. You only get Power, and you get a lot of it anyway. Is there something you get if you do a lot of them? Influence. At what point? I thought every one gave you Influence. Could be wrong. I know you get a metric ton of it for doing Landmark quests. That is not a price drop worth buying this game. Maybe when it is 10$ it might be worth buying. And if I am super bored and my only choices are to kill myself or play DAI. That is a completely reasonable and non-hyperbolic comment.

Kickstarter games do have to be accessible. Because they still need to sell.

Star Wars Episode 7 Thread
I've noticed that people hate the SW7 teaser if they love the JW teaser, and vice versa. There's no middle ground.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
The game had tons of town hubs. Redcliffe, Skyhold, the various Keeps and merchants around the world. I get what you're saying, but it's not like there was only wildnerness and no shops.
