  1. I wonder how Chris Avellone feels right now seeing how inExile and Obsidian had to negotiate for a piece of him I seriously wish I were in such a position to relax and watch companies battle for me.
  2. I wonder if Woedica was actually dethroned or whether that is a story her followers made up because of how she chooses to manifest herself
  3. An Overgod An overgod is badly needed to keep the gods in control with respect to their relationship with mortals An overgod should also set the rules for the gods and how they interact with each other There needs to be a way for mortals to become gods
  4. Members of the Obsidian Order! I propose to the developers that our order be awarded an envoy in the game. Preferably it should be one of our own. I am thinking of the kind of fan appreciation CDprojekt implemented in The Witcher 2 where one or more fans were included as NPC's in the game. In my mind our Caretaker Farudan would be a great candidate. In these last days Farudan has taken over the function of inducting new members and maintaining our rolls. Farudan also provided valuable assistance to the developers with creating their German Website Those contributions are appreciated by us all and helped increase the awareness of the game.... please take the poll and tell us if you think it is a good idea
  5. I wish Obsidian would make it possible that we can become a deity during the course of the game, This is something fresh that has never really been done before. (you can become a god at the end of Baldur's Gate ToB but never get to act in the world from their perspective) I think Obsidian has the talent and depth to make it interesting.
  6. The thing about the Mega dungeon is that people know so little of what it will provide to be excited about it. For me in particular, an endless hack and slash fest is just not motivating. There has got to be a story related reason I am in that dungeon and there has got to be a reason I want to see it to the end...that just me anyways If Obsidian wants to excite people about the dungeon, it has to be more than 'Torchlight Style' hacking and slashing
  7. Obsidian should place a divine realm or something tied to the overall story in the Mega Dungeon. They need to give people an important reason to want to enter and finish the levels
  8. In Torchlight the Infinite Dungeons become boring after a while All you do is hack and slash your way through. I fear this Mega Dungeon will offer nothing more than a hack and slash fest through its levels
  9. Tamimh post above shows how insensitive some people can be...I wish there was a way to delete the nonsense this individual just posted
  10. Adam You guys should make it a prologue chapter of the game...instead of Beta access to the full game Preferable it should come out pretty early. here are my thoughts: The best thing for a stretch goal will be early playable content such as a Character Creation Tool with a playable area or prologue to introduce fans to the world and its mechanics. This should happen sometime in 2013 and will serve two purposes: Firstly, it will introduce fans to the world and its mechanics. People will have a better idea of the kind of character they might like to roll and the play style they prefer. Secondly, It will give fans something to whet their appetites while they wait for the game release...not only that, it will increase the buzz and awareness about the game At the request of fans, Bioware has been done a character creation tool all the Dragon Age games to date. It is a very popular feature

  12. The kind of people lamenting how easy a Skyrim is at high levels are the very same ones who blew a gasket when a high level rat could kill them in Oblivion... Be careful what you ask for because if you work hard and level up only to have the butterfly you swatted at level 1 kick your butt at level 69 you will hate the game The player has to feel he has grown stronger as the game progresses. Period You should be asking for enough variety of monsters to keep the game challenging at high levels without losing the increase in power a player needs to have
  13. I agree completely with Metiman Above Temporary stat increases trivialize the influence of deities. You might as well drink a potion. A deity should provide permanent perks associated with its worship and devotion. I would like to see the mechanic where certain achievements can enable mortals transcend the limitations of the world and become deities. I would love to see the world with the eyes of a deity. It will be a revolutionary experience for players if a developer can imagine it and implement it properly
  14. I love epic music...it makes you feel your place in the unfolding events more keenly Skyrim uses epic music to achieve the same effect
  15. Choir, brass, percussion...the very voice of valor stirring a hero's soul
