Why does this game run poorly?
I think we can all agree the game is just incredibly, incredibly unoptimised and resource inefficient.

Dialogue Sound issue glitch
So someone suggested this is actually worse on the new patch? Can anyone confirm? My game is GOG so still waiting on patch. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/74154-voice-over-gets-cut/?do=findComment&comment=1633271

Not a bug but definitely needs to be reported. XP.

The Only "Serious" Problem I Have With PoE
Good to know I'm not the only one. It's entirely possible to play using only visible circles, but it takes away from the fun and makes it a bit more tedious finding people. Also, it would be nice to see an improved selection notification. As of now, the party member you've selected just has light a green circle that flashes white compared to the normal green circles of everyone else. Hard to spot at times. Something a little more noticeable would be helpful. Agree completely. The flashing circle is just not visible enough when mousing over units in a messy battle. They need to give the circle an obvious and continuous bounce when mousing over. It's also hard to see the circles when there are bright white or green spells going off. To combat this, perhaps giving the circles a black outline might be a good idea. Funnily enough, during the beta, mousing over characters or enemies would make them flash green, which was very helpful. Not sure why they got rid of that... Also, on selected characters, the current thicker green circle is just way too subtle. They need to significantly thicken the circle or add a second circle like in the IE games.

[BUG] Sagani post-rest dialog triggers early, resulting in SPOILERS.
Justinian replied to Arsene Lupin's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)This should be fairly easy to fix with some trigger checks yes?

The Only "Serious" Problem I Have With PoE
Yea, the visibility in combat is generally pretty poor once spells start flying. It's been raised many times with the devs so hopefully they tone down the effects in the next couple patches.

Dialogue Sound issue glitch
I got this on a new character. Calisca started skipping the first few words of her voice lines in the starting map. Reloaded the game and it resolved itself. Any idea what causes this? It's quite an annoying bug.

I feel offended do you?
Dear BugsVendor, Unfortunately it's much much easier to miss bugs in a huge, complex piece of software than it is to create a coffee machine that produces tea. Kind Regards Fan

Why does this game run poorly?
You mentioned in an earlier post using an HD4870 - is that the 512MB VRAM model? If so, it might be lack of VRAM (I've seen GPU memory usage reach 600MB at 2560x1600) - try installing MSI Afterburner to check on your usage. If your system is maxing out on VRAM, check you're not forcing any graphics enhancements like AA in Catalyst Control Centre and try running the game at a lower resolution with MSAA disabled (open console with ~, press Enter, type msaa 0, press Enter again). Another option might be to try overclocking your HD4870 if you're not already doing so (MSI Afterburner should be able to do that, but keep an eye on temperatures) but that won't help much if lack of VRAM is the problem. Thanks. Nope, it's the 1GB version, so on-specs, so to speak. Thing is: it is handling effects pretty well so far. It just is the models that my rig has a hard time with. BTW: the character creation screen is also a pain; somehow, my clicks are 'lagging' and the cursor is trailing. Not a big deal though, the crowded areas is more of a gamebreaker for me I'll look into Afterburner though... The crowded areas are taxing on the CPU, not graphics card. You can do a really simple test by pausing in a crowded area (Copperlane) and scrolling around. You'll notice performance improve dramatically despite rendering the same scene. Actually, for me, even if I pause it, the game doesn't increase FPS. Only thing that seems to help is restarting the client. I was in Burial Isles yesterday at 40fps, restarted and boom, 60. ****in' weird man. Maybe it's because I usually play for 6+ hours straight. Ah OK, you're getting a different type of frame drop than me. Mine are pretty consistently either in Copperlane or when spells go off. Haven't run across any random drops for no reason, but it definitely sounds like an issue that should be fixed. A game should never slow down the longer you play.

Stronghold upgrade (not working concurrently)
It's not a bug.
-
Areas of effect of the spells disappear
Would be a good idea to post your savegame. That will help the devs determine why.
- Rogue ability [Crippling Strike] bugged

Plague of insects bug
This will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

What version of windows OS will Pillars run on?
Has anyone tried running this on Windows 10 Preview?

Party targeting AI only good at attacking charmed party members
I believe the entire charmed spell is bugged. It's behaviour at the moment goes against all logic.
-
Copperlane District area-wide visual bug
Definitely not because of low specs then...

Hard mode is too easy.
So switch on Expert Mode (or any of its components individually), or play with a smaller party, or do any of the other things I listed plus others besides to tune the difficulty for you. I never understand people who say this. What's the point of making the game more difficult by handicapping yourself? The game on hard should be difficult due to the rules laid down by the game itself!

Why does this game run poorly?
This sounds like a memory leak to me.
-
Copperlane District area-wide visual bug
What are your system specs? Copperlane is probably the most CPU intensive area of the game.

Hard mode is too easy.
So is the general consensus that the game is too easy on hard even without inflated stats due to the bug?
