  1. Finished my uni assignments and I've got nothing else to do tonight. Anyone wanna play some DotA 2? US West or South East Asia servers My stats - https://dotabuff.com/players/2459619 Microphone capable people preferred
  2. I can't get over the fact that people played Dragon Age 2, hahah. The first one was bad enough.
  3. On the first few play through's I would agree. After that though. I think I once cared about the Baldur's Gate storyline, but that would have been like 10 years ago or more.
  4. Sure that's fine, but the control schemes for P:E are more like an RTS ... soooo Really? I thought it was awful. YMMV.
  5. Perhaps you will get what you want as there's no publisher deciding on whether or not there will be a sequel, Obsidian are deciding. I'm sure *some* form of planning will be put into it at least. But hey I'm not as bothered by it as you are, i'm waaaaaaaaaaay more concerned about the gameplay as that was the thing that made the IE games for me. I still play BG and IWD to this day, but I don't read the dialogue anymore because I've played the games so many times that I don't need to, the gameplay outlasts the story.
  6. I think being able to mod some weapons and armor would be cool (something *like* KotOR 2). Where you have the base item and then X amount of slots for upgrades (and in this case some enchantment slots maybe) Those upgrade slots and enchantment slots make minor differences to the item. I think something that borrows from ARPG style (like Titan Quest relic system or Diablo 2 rune system) would be good.
  7. I think many people are jumping the gun here. I don't even think they have the story planned yet, how about let them finish the story, then talk about it. I'm pretty sure they're going to go with the BG1-> BG2 approach. But I don't even think they know how they're going to handle it yet, so besides this post i'm not even going to concern myself about it as it's likely over 3 years away ... hahah.
  8. I used to play with IE dialogue options always on, but yeah it got annoying after a while, so I changed to Seldom for everything. Some of the voices were good though Icewind Dale probably had the best voice sets "Well, looks like i'm gonna have to go on a killing spree." - always loved that one
  9. Fight the system. **** IGN and their like, their reviews suck anyway. (this is not the real review fyi) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=zbfTO2W2rUU No Publisher involved, don't have to worry about the Critic's score. They can astro turf the user score
  10. I know someone in real life who I was very much reminded of by Ziggy in season 2. While I am one of those people who like season 2 quite a lot, that character really got on my nerves. Season 5 McNulty annoys me... a lot. He, his actions, it all just rubs me the wrong way. I still think its a good season and a good ending to the show, but it is the one season I did not watch a second time - I know he'll annoy me again You know, one of those instances when you fully recognize somethign as really good and of quality, but on a personal level it just is off. What I can't decide is which my favourid season is: 1, 3 or 4. I think I felt the same way about Season 5 for a while, but when I watched it again it was fine. Some of the best stuff happens in that season, particularly involving Bubbles and Clay Davis and over time, I have come to really like McNulty in season 5, if you just pay attention to the emotion of his character throughout the season, it's quite incredible actually ... his facial expressions in general are just bang on - that undercurrent of disgust about what he's doing. Think about it this way though, McNulty is supposed to piss people off in that season, and you actually felt something from watching him do it ... that's pretty rare. The Johnny Weeks character reminds me of the douchebag boyfriend of one of my internet friends (looks very similar in the face) and that makes that actor annoying for me - so I can kind of see where you're coming from there ... but hey at least that makes it realistic Season 2 is probably the 'hardest' to get into, and the slowest building but I think it's one of the better ones too actually. I had a friend that LOVED season 1 but he couldn't get through 30 minutes of Season 2 Episode 1 (whereas I loved it). But I can understand where you're coming from if you just get pissed off by Ziggy. Have you seen Generation Kill ? James Ransone plays a pretty sweet character in that show actually haha.
  11. Definitely not man. Perhaps we can be friends for free for a while and then when we've got something worth talking about we can pitch the video and see how we go then? Sorry I can't get any publishing companies to endorse me in this, I'll need to start a Kickstarter. Fair point, I am a high risk investment. Reckon you've got enough fans to reach any of the stretch goals?

  13. I really liked this one too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBM7i84BThE Hey it's kind of on topic. Star Wars was mentioned in the interview.
  14. Some of us still partake in this discussion and friendship. I haven't made any friends from here yet though, anyone wanna be friends?
  15. I think even McNulty wanted to punch McNulty What didn't you like about it melkathi ?
  16. GIMME SOME T1TS! The Corner takes that even further and gives it a family perspective, based on a true story, and you meet the real characters (who aren't dead) at the end. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OtJV7QdW3k (the real) DeAndre committed suicide in August this year though
  17. Actually it's nothing like a Law and Order episode. I wouldn't say that's a very good comparison. The only similarity is it has Detectives in it some of the time. If you were going to compare it to an episodical show, Homicide: Life on the Street would be the closest, because there's way more character projection than Law and Order, which is bone dry in comparison. The character John Munch from Law and Order: SVU is actually originally from Homicide: Life on the Street, same character, same actor. However his Law and Order version is _NOTHING_ like his Homicide: Life on the Street version, he essentially becomes a paper-cut out. Definitely give it a go Cantousent, give it a few episodes before deciding if you're into it or not (minimum 4 imo), as it's a show that builds over time.
  18. **** yeah I'm gonna start ripping copper piping outta people's houses yo, get dat heron moneY
  19. Yeah that was a really good interview. Questions were pretty good, but Chris' answers were even better. Shame I had uni assignments and **** due while Chris was here in AU, otherwise would have gone up to try and get an inperson interview myself The Wire - RESTECP!
