  1. They have a pretty good deflection bonus as well, 3rd highest of all the classes if the whiteboard screeny from earlier this year is still valid
  2. Unless it's a Glanfathan name or something the game will probably be called Eternity haha.
  3. I am okay with the ability to be able to shift click waypoints or something but when normally moving I don't want to see any lines on the environment as such. I don't even think waypointing is that necessary.
  4. Probably not Would require some kind of physics system that would be taking away from the core features of the game - starting to get too realistic IMO. I can't think of too many spells where it would be applicable either.
  5. Probably not gonna see sexism in this game soz guys
  6. Nah Full Control actually refused publisher funding and went to Kickstarter instead.
  7. The only thing they need to worry about atm is the forms for the $1K+ backers that is the only thing that needs to be operational by the time Production comes around I guess.
  8. I also have to strongly disagree. Must just not like micro management. DA:O had an awful camera, awful controls and the party did some random ass **** sometimes. The only thing BG2 had issues with was pathfinding and even that wasn't that bad.
  9. Meh you have to allow them a filler update from time to time, they're busy with prototype 2. For me the best bit of info was that Bobby was now working on P:E instead of South Park They also said they bought on another designer recently too. Eric Fenstermaker or Scott Everts perhaps ?
  10. I think that Full Control are just licensing the IP (same as Shadowrun), the game is not actually being published by bitcomposer. At least Full Control have been up front about it however. The involvement of a publisher probably means stuff like backer-only DRM and DLC - which are some of the things I am trying to avoid via Kickstarting games. Hairbrained Studios were a bit dodgy, they didn't explain the licensing deal and probably knew prior to the end of the Kickstarter about some of the clauses of the agreement ... and just didn't choose to inform backers until way down the line. The Wasteland 2 license is actually owned by EA as well, but Brian Fargo owns the Trademark, so he as a bit more bargaining power there. Hopefully there are no special clauses like DLC and backer only DRM-free versions etc.
  11. One word: Publisher. That's why I didn't back it anyway. Not taking that risk again after Shadowrun Returns. Bitcomposer also screwed up the latest Jagged Alliance release so I don't think many people are going to trust them with the IP again.
  12. When I first saw that picture at the top of the update I was like hey .... that discussion about AD&D Ghosts with Bobby on the forums / kickstarter comments resonated well
  13. I also enjoyed her voice acting and Menze drew a very awesome concept of her that was very closely replicated by the character artist. Without these factors I don't think the character would have been anywhere near as enjoyable.
  14. I'm interested in what storyline will lead to you acquiring / defending such significant real estate. Would be cool if there's a few different ways to acquire it too I suppose. Couple of suggestions: Factional reputation could (or should) be tied into who disputes/attacks your Stronghold. Several quests/missions might be to mitigate claims by people from other factions. There's all sorts of stuff you could do with this: Bribery/Blackmail, Assassination, Do (a or several) favors for the POI/Faction in order for them to support or accept your holdings of the property. You might be able to call on people that you've helped over the course of the game to assist you in protecting your Stronghold as well. I remember that Slavery is possible in the Dyrwood (from memory): so that's something to take into consideration as well. CNPCs that you've scorned could be involved in opposing you here as well (if not in other parts of the story).
  15. If I could edit the title of the thread I would, what I really meant were obscure/exclusive encounters that are hard to find / can't be experienced by everyone.
  16. There's a few things where I'd like specific "feelings" again Baldur's Gate 1 wilderness areas and wilderness music, in daytime, night time and rain was a great blend of atmosphere; I always get a warm fuzzy feeling just wandering around in that game. I am not sure why. Icewind Dale had better atmosphere in specific locations (mostly because there were no wilderness areas); the specifically tailored visuals and music such as "Easthaven in Peace", "Hrothgar's Home", "Kuldahar Theme", "Arundel's Home". BG1 and IWD1 both got the Temple feeling just perfect - when you walk into a Temple in those games the visuals and the audio were both really awesome. Unique Area Exploration: IWD1 Low level named encounters: BG1 Boss encounters: BG1 probably had the easiest boss encounters but IWD, IWD2 and BG2 had good ones Quests: I hope to see revolutionary quest design since we're not using XP per kills Loot acquisition: BG1 had the best rate of finding magical items, your first magical item was a big deal and buying them was expensive. Amount of voice acting: BG2 (but I am a bit worried it will be more on the IWD side due to budget) I think this one is important : IWD engine has significant lag when entering through dialogue, I don't know whether this is intentional but it is really annoying. In BG1/2 you can enter through at lightning speed - good thing once you've played the game 20 times.
  17. Hopefully there's still the good old easter egg stuff like ankheg plate armor etc, but perhaps more context sensible within the world (better example might be Helm of Balduran behind the painting etc)
  18. No they're not easter eggs, but I couldn't think of a better word. Obscure maybe ?
  19. I liked the Witcher 1's journal system (although I would forego visual quest tracking in game).
  20. I am hoping that when it comes to Production, that the area designers keep some of the following things in mind BG1 had easter egg item placement, as well as a few cool things such as talking to charmed enemies. Great idea and I'd love to see some of that stuff in Project Eternity. Obviously there will be an object highlighter, but it would be cool to have some stuff that you can only find my pixel hunting (probably not likely from a design perspective but we'll see). BG2 had some really nice easter egg encounters. The Twisted Rune is one of the most well-known ones, where if you have a certain Rogue Stone in your inventory and open a certain door you get access to a pretty awesome encounter with some sweet gear as a reward for completing it (not to menion the XP). There's also some other stuff related to casting high-level utility spells in specific locations on certain maps. For example if you cast the "Freedom" spell in a certain location in the Underdark where you find remains of a battle ... you get a very nasty surprise There's also some other ones you can find interacting with the environment But yeah I haven't really experienced this kind of exclusive content for a while because I guess developers have been afraid that content is pointless if not many people experience it. I did listen to an interview with MCA recently where he said he was a big fan of exclusive content. Hoping to see some of this kind of stuff where it fits into the game world.
  21. Hmm ok so more like "Werewolf" kind of stuff with different animals.
