  1. Go buy BG1 and 2 + expanions for cheaper then the BG:EE... Sure you will have to spend 5-50min fixing modes (depending on your internet connection). But hey atleast you get both the games... BG:EE is one game for twice the price with fan fixes. I would play the normal BG... But well im working my way past BaK again.
  2. Well then it would come down to 3 things... How common are magic users? Can you make spells that last forever by enchanting or just creating a fire that never stop burning. How tired do a magic user get when casting magic? Anyway i do hope that the economy make some kind of sense...
  3. I have not read the topic but... I guess it would depend on how magic in the world work. Can you enchant something and it will be up "forever" or will it drain the mages stamina and make him tired so that when he fall asleep the enchant is lost? Can you mix magic with "alchemy" and special enchantment like the ability to enchant rare gems to forever hold enchants or is it the gods that "lend" magic to mortals? It also raise the question how magic is "done". Will based? Do you study books / rituals and so on? I mean the first person to use magic did he just know how to conjure a fireball or a lightning storm? Or did they "learn"... Can you "learn" and make new spells? Then it depend on how many magic users there are... If they are rare they would either be hunted or in powerful positions. While if mages are more common then they would most likely be used for alot of everyday thing (depending on how magic itself work). Did that make any sense :>?
  4. Well... sadly i have not seen much proof of a good "game" its more like the tech is the main thing sadly. It looks nice overall with a few things that are very clunky. No one swing weapons like that... Not even a untrained person would swing weapons like the characters do. It loks like they are swinging giant hammers with like 10+kg weight at the head randomly around them well except he can stop "mid swing" that makes the combat look very strange.
  5. For some reason i think he will be able to get to the goal... Sadly its also made for mobiles and stuff so the game will be dumb down... A lot... Not only that there is "nothing" about the game. And throw in that he could pay to make the game from his own money. But he wont because he hope people are dumb enough to do it for him (and they will be).
  6. The gifted people or whatever you want to call them would if they are serious contact Obsidian the correct way. Other then that... Serious people will mod the game if its good. I see no point in asking on the forum even if they would be ok with people helping all you would get is lots of people that think they know but dont.
  7. I would like to see co-op... But well its not even on that high priority. Content / Quality > Mod Tools > Co-op multiplayer If the game sell good i would be fine with them adding it to the expansion.
  8. This is hard to say... We know nothing about the plot except that the main character will have something happen to him/her. We dont know if its even possible for the main character to continue with his/her adventure... For all we know (s)he might die. Also i guess that they will do something like BG where each character get their text / voice explaining what happened to them after the end. If that happen you cant have your character walk around doing whatever. Also not a huge fan of NG+...
  9. rtwp or tb either one can be good or bad... Tbh the main thing i care about is that its good.
  10. Well i would like to see more... life in cities in games. There should be more npc's walking around even more so at main streets and market areas. I always find it strange in rpg's how there are less population in towns then enemies 100 meters outside the town gates. How can people live in a world where just outside the gate there are evil people that outnumber the towns population by 100 to 1? Ofc money can be spent on more important things... So its not like they need a super active town with lots of npc's. They could add a few to make it feel abit alive... Worst case if they make sure people can mod someone at some point will make a mod to make towns more alive.
  11. I dont care either way. If they do decide to show the numbers then it should not be more then "This is how much kickstarter, amazon and paypal got". This is how much we had to spend on the pledge rewards. And this is how much we have to work with. There is no need to go into details like "We will spend X hours with Y people and brings it to Z money for level design"
  12. They will consider co-op in PE2 if this one sells good. Due to the limited budget they have they wont make a co-op feature for PE or its expansion (well i guess the expansion could have it depending on how much money they make).
  13. If you or someone want to translate it for them you should contact them by e-mail.
  14. i guess that you will be able to pick what each copy should be but well dont quote me on it ^^
  15. Nah i think i want a huge dungeon... 15000 more likes and they will add another level to the dungeon. Aslong as the dungeon have high quality im happy.
  16. 15 levels confirmed now... if they get 40 000 likes on facebook they will add another level Edit: it should be 15
  17. They will probably send a e-mail to everyone. There they will ask for your information, forum username and information about whatever addons you pledged for. Lateron they will most likely put up some kind of website where you can change your information and increase your pledge (not confirmed (but i see no reason for them not to do this)).
  18. Anyone should be killable with the exception of gods maybe. If you want to kill a main quest npc you can do so... You wont be able to continue with the main quest because well... You cant find / talk to the dead guy (unless they have some kind of raise dead spell (that would be cool by the way)). If you kill everyone you should have to live with the consequence that you wont be able to continue with the story. No immortal characters with the exception of gods (depending on how they are made)
  19. Best case scenario is ofc that everything they want in the game get put into the game. However as people might know content tend to get cut for whatever reason, time, lore, money, to many bugs... What i hope is that Obsidian consider is that they leave cut content on the disc. That way people can mod it in (with some modifications). So what do people think? Comments? Agree? Flames? cookies?
  20. For. This system dont stop exploring as by exploring you find quests, items, lore, dungeons, rare strong monsters. The monsters will most likely give experience and loot when you kill them. Dungeons will most likely give experience once you complete them. I dont see the problem. Also this dont stop you from killing everyone once you have completed the quest. You can still talk your way past the encounter and then kill that person and his friends and then kill the quest giver. The only difference is that you wont be rewarded with x2-3 the experience.
