It says you can choose. So I think you can only choose one. Get a Steam key or GOG key I guess. And I think that's fair since we're paying for 1 copy only. ^-- This is correct... Most likely you will be told to fill out information on what version you want (Gog / steam etc), T-shirt design's etc etc.

Perhaps there will be a way to redeem the key through GoG instead? I know nothing about such technology! Not promising anything yet, but we'll look into how to do that best. We wanted to use Steam to give folks achievements and cloud saves (we're not interested in the DRM features, just its streaming and gamer stuff) but it may be possible for us to support DRM free on the disc, but still give fans of Steam access to those things. Again not promising that, but that's how I'd ideally like to see it handled and we'll see what we can do! -TG I would love no DRM on the disc please thanks <3

Overall i think rpg's have lost alot in the new "generation". Depth, complexity, tactical are all things that have been reduced, removed or simply ignored for a more "streamlined" and "action/adventure" type of gameplay do i want this to be a hardcore rpg... With depth, complexity, tactical? hell yes. Now not everything is "bad"... Ui's are one thing for example that i dont want returned in my opinion PC centric ui's have been improved overall. But from gameplay? No.

Better pledge rewards? Lets see: Maybe a paper map / more information manual at 65$ Better balance on the tiers with more choices... Digital / physical... More designs (or show concept art on designs) No DRM confirmation on the physical copy and the choice to have it on GoG or Steam or whatever. More game information, magic? Combat? Fighters? More information about each stretch goal, ui / inventory?, How do the skills and abilties work? Conversation trees? moding tools, basic co-op (allow moders to make the worlds and so on).

I would have to agree. They dont talk a lot with the community even if they do read the posts. I think they should talk more and start to share some more information. I have a few friends who are unsure if they should back this project or not due to the very very very limited information. You could say that we know "it will return to old school", its party based, There is a concept for a map, isometric, (stretch goal information) and thats sadly about it. Im not saying that they should go into details or even ask them community if they should pick the colour blue or red for object Z. I just think they should should give some more information and communicate abit more with the entire community. But its just my opinion. Also i know it was over a weekend. But they should start doing it now and well yeah... its quiet =(

I dont want to see "crazy" weapons... But that dont mean that im against unique designs or other strange ideas... Like (if there are elfs) the elfs have the ability to craft(sing) forward a "wooden" armour / weapons that are just as strong as a metal based one. Or for dwarfs (if there are any) for them to have crystal swords (rare ofc) it depends on the setting and lore. Im however against weapons that make no sense for either lore, story or weapon that simply dont make any sense.

Do we want elves and dwarves?

I have nothing against the races. But they should make them with their own twist and also... They should include some "new" unique races also. -

Pacifist Run

I hope to see abilities that allow the player to experiment with the game. So that the player can find new ways past a problem, by spells, sneaking, talking or whatever. -
Evil PC Options
Kaldurenik replied to duskwind's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Reminds me... Could we please have villains that are "good"... No not good in that way. First of all they should not be "SMASH WORLD" why? "no reason!". And then they should not do things like "I USE MY ABILITY X NOW" (in other words:) They should not tell the world what they are going to do its very hard to take a enemy like that serious. Anyway the topic! I have nothing against a "evil" PC. However i dont want it to turn into a ending where you have Choice 1 (good), Choice 2 (Neutral), Choice 3: (EVIL) abit more depth then taht please -
[Merged] DRM Discussion Thread
Kaldurenik replied to Arundor's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
DRM free is the way to go. Or allow people to have a option what to pick. Anyway i would rather not have any DRM as there is nothing (unless you crack it) that the company or whatever wont stop support / close down and considering they dont have to remove the DRM from the copies yeah. -
In my opinion i would be fine with something like BG2 (but abit improved) even more so if they make tools to make your own maps and stuff. That way they can make multiplayer work in a very basic way... But open it up to allow people to mod it / create their own worlds / scenarios and stuff. But hey i can dream right

Stretch Goals
Kaldurenik replied to NateOwns's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I think a larger problem is the unbalanced reward tiers... Add more tiers, Change the value on some... Add some on the middle. Add some choices in what things you get and then people might start to increase their pledge from the lowest tiers.
